Summoners War: Only I Summoned Divine Beasts

Chapter 487: All-Out War

”Hmm?! Today is much darker than anything I have seen so far. Itʼs cold too. Ha…” He let out a breath to warm his palms while looking at the front.

”Hahaha. I guess the aliens will be less active in the cold. We havenʼt seen any activities in the last few days.”

The two soldiers were laughing as they were patrolling the area, not caring much about the situation. They didnʼt realize the situation they were in. In fact, they had done nothing to cover their lungs from the harmful ash.

However, the situation might not be as good as they imagined.

While they were patrolling, they heard a lot of screeching noises coming from a distance.

”What is that?” The first soldier pointed forward, finding a huge cloud of dust coming toward them.

”Aliens? Looking at the size of the dust, it seems there are at least a thousand aliens over there!”

”Not good. Can we even handle them?”

ʼʼWe have to report first!”

The two soldiers rushed back to the base, shouting, ”Enemy attack! Open the gate right now! We have an emergency report!”

The soldiers on the wall were confused, but they still opened their gate.

Both of them headed straight to the commanderʼs tent and reported out loud. ”Emergency report! We found a sign of alien activity in the south. They are coming straight at us. Their number is at least a thousand.”

The commander raised his eyebrows. He hurriedly stood up while saying, ”Weʼll intercept them. Make preparations!”

The bell was ringing as the commander headed to the top of the wall. One of the soldiers had pointed at the cloud of dust in the distance. ”Sir…”

The commander frowned. ”That number… Itʼs not a thousand. Itʼs at least three thousand. No. Are they picking up all the aliens on the way here?”

The commanderʼs body shook. He hurriedly shouted, ”Weʼll be confronting them on top of the wall!”

With the commanderʼs order, the entire base became busy. Some were closing the gate and ensuring nothing could enter with a huge boulder. Some were carrying weapons to the wall.

They were going to face a huge battle, so the soldiers only took three minutes to finish everything. All of them were standing on top of the wall, ready to receive the incoming horde.

The commanderʼs expression turned grimmer as the horde approached them.

When they were close enough to be discerned with the naked eye, the commander raised his head. ”Kill them!”

Without hesitation, the people started shooting their arrows into the sky, trying to take down as many aliens as possible.

Unfortunately for them, no one would expect that the ground underneath the wall where the commander was located actually cracked.

”!!!” The commander looked down, wanting to warn them, albeit he was too late.

A huge worm suddenly emerged from the ground, snapped the wall, and swallowed the commander along with the wall.

*Scree!*

”Commander!” The soldiers panicked. No one would expect that a mature class alien would appear out of nowhere, but it was even more terrifying when more and more aliens suddenly came out of the tunnel as if they were following the worm directly.

As a result, the base was flooded with aliens so easily. There wasnʼt even a chance to fight back.

…

”Sir. Echo Base has been destroyed.” A soldier reported to Sullivan, who had returned to the front line.

”Echian Base has been destroyed as well, sir.” Another soldier came to him, panicking.

”!!!” Sullivan widened his eyes in shock. On the one hand, he never thought that the aliens would come all of a sudden. They should notice the disaster, but he never thought the aliens would move so fast.

”Whatʼs going on? Is this just a random attack? But for those two bases to fall, it means all the people have died. No one can report to me about whatʼs going on.” Sullivan scratched the back of his head.

”Why are they moving so fast? Are they moving the moment the ash is falling? If thatʼs the case, they should have come at least a few hours earlier.

”This kind of attack… Someone must have been orchestrating it. Who? Is it a much stronger alien? Considering their intelligence increases, the higher their rank is… a warrior class alien is ordering them?

”No. If itʼs only a warrior class, they wonʼt attack at the same time. Besides, theyʼre attacking us at the side. Theyʼre trying to destroy our formations, and if this continues, we might not be able to send reinforcements to others…”

Sullivan was completely confused by their sudden movement. ”An intelligent alien, huh? Send an urgent report to the royal palace. The aliens have finally made their move. It is as if they have been waiting for this disaster to occur first. Most likely, the one leading them is either a mutant warrior class or an elite class. Please check on other fronts as well, not only our kingdom but also other kingdoms.”

Sullivan was assuming that if the aliens actually attacked other kingdoms, this must be an all-out attack from the alien.

The soldiers immediately conveyed the report to the king and the rest of the ministers.

”This…” Julius ground his teeth. He was already busy enough with the food problem, but the aliens actually attacked them? ”War Minister?”

The war ministerʼs expression turned solemn. ”I think Mr. Sullivanʼs opinion has some insight on it. If the aliens have been waiting for this disaster to occur, we can safely assume that they are smart enough to know about this disaster. Since we have known about the prophecy, their side might have an alien that can peek into the future as well.

”We first have to confirm the situation in other kingdoms as well. After that, we might have to reposition our troops carefully. With the food problem going on, we arenʼt in the position to attack.”

Julius couldnʼt help but ask, ”So, what that boy predicted was true?”

”Yes. Still, to reposition our troops requires us to work together with other countries. I believe we should convey our intention with other kingdoms, especially the Holy Kingdom. From this point on, it will be an all-out war against the aliens.”
