Summoners War: Only I Summoned Divine Beasts

Chapter 461: Confirming the Disaster

Vivian was standing on the coast with a solemn expression. Her eyes were staring at the dark sky.

Vivian suddenly noticed a presence coming toward her.

”What? To think that you would come personally.” Vivian shifted her eyes to the side. ”Pope Frank.”

”For such an important matter, it would be good if I confirmed it personally. This is a matter that might change the world, so I have to be here.” The Pope smiled. ”I was surprised when my student suddenly returned and informed me about this matter. Are you sure itʼs a volcanic eruption?”

”Most likely.”

”Is it really going to cover our world?”

”I donʼt know. Thatʼs why Iʼm here. If itʼs really going to release so many things outside, I donʼt know what will happen anymore. This is something I have never seen or learned before.” Vivian shook her head helplessly.

The Pope squinted his eyes. ”If itʼs truly covering the world, famine and winter. Iʼm afraid that 90% of the population will die. The remaining 10% will struggle to fight both nature and the incoming aliens.

”Without proper food supply, humanity will be defeated. Iʼm afraid that the four kingdoms wonʼt be able to hold on. In addition, all those innocent lives…” The Pope let out a long sigh. ”Well, that was my imagination. I didnʼt know much about the volcano, so I might be inaccurate.”

”Yes. Itʼs probably worse than that.”

The Pope couldnʼt help but feel curious. ”Do you think there is another land across the sea?”

Vivian shrugged. ”Maybe. Our hands are full with the aliens, so no one really bothered to check it. At this scale, the people on that land must suffer much more compared to us.”

”Either way, we canʼt really help them, even if we want to.” The Pope sighed. ”If not for your disciple discovering the earthquake or something, I wouldnʼt really believe it. But…”

Vivian nodded before noticing a movement in the sky. She squinted her eyes.

”Whatʼs wrong?” The Pope frowned and tried to see what she was trying to find. Because his sense was sharper than hers, the Popeʼs expression darkened first. ”Thatʼs…”

Vivian released her ena and lifted her own body purely with control.

”…” The Pope hesitated for a moment, as he didnʼt want to believe what he was seeing. However, they really needed to check it.

Hence, three pairs of translucent golden wings made of ena appeared on his back. His body was releasing so much ena that it felt like the world was brightened around him.

He took off into the sky before stopping at a certain altitude. In front of them was a massive pale gray cloud that expanded into the horizon with no end in sight.

It kept expanding at high speed.

Vivian sniffed it first before covering her mouth. She grabbed the cloud and scooped out some of it while checking it with her hands.

”Vivian?”

Vivianʼs face darkened before she nodded to the Pope. ”Yeah. This is an ash cloud. Looking at this speed, Iʼm afraid that it will even reach the east in like… six hours?”

”This is truly not good.” The Pope bit his lips. ”A lot of people are going to die from this.”

”Iʼll return to the Frexia Academy. You should inform all influences in this world about this.”

”Do you have any plans moving forward? How about your disciple? Did he tell you anything?”

”No. However, Iʼm planning to summon the Fairy Queen.”

”Fairy Queen? Which Fairy Queen? Titania?”

”No. The wise queen, Charlotte.”

”What? You can do that?”

”Yeah.” Vivian waved her hand. ”Letʼs go. We need to hurry.”

”Wait a minute.” The Pope stopped her. He was staring at the encroaching cloud.

”What?”

”I want to try something.” The Pope took a deep breath before clapping his hands.

Upon the clasping sound echoed, the Popeʼs body shone brightly, as if the sun had just descended, brightening the world.

A golden tree suddenly formed in front of him. Just by touching the tree, the ash cloud disappeared into thin air.

Vivian raised both arms, protecting herself from the sheer amount of ena that the tree was exuding. And it hadnʼt stopped growing.

The tree formed from the roots all the way to the branches gradually. The moment it was completed, the Pope released his own ena.

”Seraph Tree.”

The tree emitted a golden light much fiercer than the Pope himself, which forced even Vivian to cover her eyes.

”Tsk.” Vivian clicked her tongue, feeling that she was still nowhere near this stage yet.

Still, the effect lasted only for a second. After that, the light disappeared as if it was swallowed by the darkness.

However, Vivian couldnʼt help but furrow her eyebrows because the cloud disappeared.

ʼHow powerful is his ability?ʼ Vivian squinted her eyes, staring into the distance. ʼHe destroyed all the clouds within 1 kilometer (0.6 mile) in radius?ʼ

Unfortunately, even with all that power, he couldnʼt destroy everything. On the left and right side, the cloud was still expanding, and the front was just delayed a bit.

The Pope bit his lips. ”I guess itʼs not possible. Even if I gather all the summoners in the world, we canʼt destroy all that cloud…”

”Of course you canʼt. This is insane…” Vivian sighed. ”I donʼt know how much material the supervolcano is releasing, but it must at least be enough to cover half of the world if not more… And the depth is going to be taken into consideration as well since weʼre talking about volume. Itʼs just too much.”

The Pope sighed. ”I know. Letʼs go back first. I will send a message to all influences. Iʼm afraid that the merchants will take advantage of this and raise the food price. No. Are we even able to harvest anything in a situation like this?”

”Thatʼs why I want to summon the Fairy Queen.” Vivian nodded. ”Also, tell them that weʼre going to remove the royalties. In this situation, a lot of knights will die. Hence, we have to increase the quality of the knights. Thereʼs no need for money if the world is going to be destroyed. I canʼt spend it.”

The Pope nodded. ”Thanks. Letʼs stay in contact. Youʼre currently the only lead about this case. I will also arrange the research team.”

Vivian nodded as both of them had reached the teleportation circle.
