I Live on the Land in Global Games

Chapter 234 - 234 231 High-level Magic Claw234: Chapter 231 High-level Magic Claw 234: Chapter 231 High-level Magic Claw In the following days, Mu Ying began developing the Permanent Magic Potion for the Lamp Vine.

The main addition during the concoction process was the Glowing Pearl Powder.

Just this one step, she tried thousands of times, where the coarseness of the powder, the timing of its addition, and the quantity added all affected whether the potion was successful or not.

There was a thick stack of papers recording the data in the study.

“Bang!” Another failure, not even Blessing Magic could help.

Mu Ying touched her soot-blackened face and cast a Cleaning Technique on herself.

She recorded the results of the attempt on paper.

Magic Potions really weren’t something that could be developed casually.

Although she had also innovated with the hair dyeing magic potion before, different colors simply required changing the dyeing materials.

The difficult part was mixing the different colors, something she was actually quite good at, which was why it went so smoothly.

This time, she was merely improving, yet it was so difficult.

Unfortunately, Glowing Pearl Powder is a substance from the real world and couldn’t be brought into Trial World, so the research on this magic potion could only be conducted in the real world.

Compared to the Permanent Magic Potion, the Lamp Vine was much easier to cultivate.

It was a magic plant she had cultivated with her own magic power, and it had an extremely high adaptability to her magic power.

It wasn’t as delicate as the Dingling Flower either.

She could promote rapid growth with Plant Magic, maintain it for a while with magic power, and then stabilize the state of the Lamp Vine with a bit of help from Recovery Spring and Life Magic.

Even soaking it in the Permanent Magic Potion could be done in batches and it didn’t need to be buried in the soil for so long.

Now, everything was ready, except for the crucial element.

“Sigh,” Mu Ying let out a sigh and decided to do something else to take her mind off things.

While the potions needed to be refined, she couldn’t neglect her spells either.

She had chosen the High-level Magic Claw to practice these past few days.

This spell is an enhanced version of the 1st circle spell, Magic Claw.

The 1st circle Magic Claw could only strengthen one of the recipient’s Innate Weapons for a short duration, but the High-level Magic Claw could enhance all of the recipient’s Innate Weapons, with each level lasting for one hour.

Its practicality greatly increased.

With her current level, casting it once could last for six hours.

Innate Weapons are only possessed by wild beasts and Magic Beasts.

So Gungun became her subject for these past few days, fortunately with no serious consequences from failed spells.

She had already successfully cast the spell yesterday, but the Spell Casting Speed wasn’t great, and it wasn’t very stable either.

She needed more practice.

“Gungun?” Mu Ying searched all around the Plantation but saw no sign of Gungun.

She then teleported to the Tree House in the Main Territory, still no sight of the bear.

Next, she went to the lakeside where Gungun often went.

Mu Ying: “...”

What did she see?

There were at least a dozen mermaids, each with a big shell filled with water, lined up one by one, emerging from Moon Lake and then with a whoosh, teleporting onto the shore before, in the blink of an eye, arriving ten plus meters away.

The one leading, squatting in the unique wooden shell tank with pink hair, if not Lily, then who?

The players in the territory seemed not surprised at all by this, making Mu Ying’s perplexed expression stand out.

It appeared the mermaids’ behavior was not new, to the point where everyone else had gotten used to it.

So, what had she missed during the days she was closed off?

“Yingying!” Lily was the first to spot Mu Ying and teleported in front of her in a flash, and then Mu Ying was surrounded by a circle of mermaids.

“Mu Ying, is the good Hair Dye Potion ready?”

“And mine!”

...

The creditor came to collect the debt, but fortunately, she had completed everything in time.

Mu Ying asked them to wait a moment and brought over the box of Magic Potions.

“They’re all here, labeled, you can divide them up yourselves!”

Having dealt with the creditor, Mu Ying pulled Lily aside, “Is this how you’ve been having fun coming ashore recently?”

“Yeah!

Being able to teleport is really great!

Many brothers and sisters have learned from me, but their shell tanks aren’t as big as the wooden one you made for me, so it’s not stuffy, just not as pretty.

But I had the Little Mushroom Men decorate it with Fluorescent Powder for me, look!” Lily excitedly showed her.

“This is Yingying, this is me, and also the protagonist of my favorite play, ‘Little Princess Fights the Great Demon Dragon.’ Hehe, doesn’t it look great?”

Mu Ying walked around her shell tank and indeed, the little princess of the drawings was modeled after her, right?

The two figures only differed in size and looked incredibly similar—and way too gaudy, right?

“As long as you like it,” Mu Ying said, seeing Lily so happy that she couldn’t bring herself to tell the truth.

“Are you done with your tasks, Yingying?” Lily asked again.

“Do you want to come and watch the Mushroom Men rehearse their play?”

Mu Ying shook her head; she certainly didn’t want to torment her eyes and soul further!

“I came out to have Gungun help me practice my Spells,” Mu Ying explained to her the effect of the High-level Magic Claw.

Lily tilted her head, “Does my tail count as an Innate Weapon?”

“Of course!

The powerful warriors of our tribe could knock out a shark with their tails!” said an older mermaid sister nearby.

“Ah, then let me help Yingying practice!” Lily clapped her hands excitedly.

“We can help too!” other mermaids also chimed in.

It wasn’t a bad idea, as Mu Ying too was curious about the strength of mermaid tails.

Lily was the first, as Mu Ying began to communicate with nature, conveying her needs to it, causing Lily’s scales to emit a faint light.

“Is it done?” Lily asked curiously, touching her body.

Mu Ying nodded, “Why don’t you give it a try?”

Lily jumped into the water and with a few swishes of her tail, she reached the bottom of the lake.

Moments later, a figure burst forth, her tail raised high, and she forcefully slapped it down onto the surface of the water.

“Slap!”

The splash of water rose four or five meters high.

“It’s really stronger than before!” Lily’s voice came with joy.

“Me too!

Me too!” the other mermaids saw Lily playing with splashing and got excited.

Mu Ying begrudgingly attached High-level Magic Claw to each of them, and after casting the Spell nine times, seeing the expectant tenth mermaid hop up to her, she had to apologize, “I’m out of Mana Value.”

“It’s okay, we can wait!” said the remaining mermaids, “We’re going back to dye our hair.

Remember to call us next time you practice Spells!”

Mu Ying nodded, alright, she hadn’t expected that with a High-level Magic Claw, mermaids could have so much fun with it—they were full of energy!

At that moment, Moon Lake had burst into a frenzy, with mermaids jumping about like grasshoppers in the bushes, creating a ruckus.

The adult mermaids could splash water over ten meters high with the assistance of High-level Magic Claw.

Mu Ying wondered whether the two little turtles in the lake were still fine amidst such explosive water.

Perhaps the next time she sunbathed, she wouldn’t have to worry about them crawling onto her back again.

Watching this scene, Mu Ying suddenly had this thought.

The Spell lasted for six hours, so the mermaids played for six hours, leading the players to believe this was some special mermaid tradition, even coining a name for it, “The Splash Festival.”
