I Live on the Land in Global Games

Chapter 335 - 335 331 The First Room335: Chapter 331: The First Room 335: Chapter 331: The First Room “Eating that quickly, is it really okay?” Mu Ying asked, pinching Little Stone.

Little Stone twisted around and hugged her hand: House~ House~

Mu Ying understood the meaning conveyed from the contract that it was talking about the first room it had grown.

The Underground City, although now reliant on eating stones to grow, would reach a point at 2 years old where stones could only increase its mass, its area, adding more rooms and such, but certain special things still required the power of emotions.

What the Underground City would develop into entirely depended on what it ingested during its growth.

Moreover, when the first room grew, it was time to choose an address for it.

This really needed careful consideration.

Guland Underground City grew through the emotions generated by adventurers exploring the maze, which was the most fundamental and common type of Underground City.

In fact, Mu Ying had many ideas, not limited to adventure.

Things that could stir human emotions were not solely limited to fighting and adventure; entertainment facilities could too.

For instance, haunted houses, amusement parks, and the like.

But after careful consideration, these did not quite fit the current situation.

Only when people’s material life was sufficiently affluent would they seek more spiritual satisfaction, and only then would such entertainment facilities attract them.

The development timeline of entertainment venues on Deep Blue Star also supported this point.

Currently, most players were still struggling with basic needs, so an entertainment-type Underground City was not suitable.

Taking reality into account, now that everyone had their own profession and abilities, exploration remained an eternally timeless theme.

When living standards were mediocre, people longed to strike it rich through exploration; when living standards rose, people also longed to improve themselves through exploration.

So, it was back to the starting point.

However, Mu Ying had her own territory and did not need to consider adding residential areas within the Underground City.

If the time was right in the future, her idea of adding an entertainment area could be realized then.

After all, who had decreed that an Underground City could only have one theme?

Having a territory as support also had another advantage: Little Stone’s first room did not need to be reserved as a hiding place, for the Underground Core could move within a certain range of the Underground City itself.

If she built the Underground City below her territory, Little Stone could actually hide within the territory.

Therefore, she could consider in advance, constructing the first room then putting it to use, starting to accumulate emotional power.

But what adventure could be had with just one room?

Mu Ying sat on the grass, pinching Little Stone while thinking.

“Right, isn’t the allure of adventure the opportunity to make money and enhance strength?

I’m not short of money right now!” Mu Ying slapped her thigh, suddenly struck with an idea.

Little Stone’s first room had no protective abilities, just its innate recovery ability.

Meaning it could recover from damage by feeding.

This type of damage wouldn’t cause Little Stone pain; although it’s considered a “living creature,” it did not feel pain, only weakness from hunger.

Mu Ying decided to take advantage of this characteristic.

She chose to build the room beneath the Main Territory, deeper than the Mushroom Man underground area.

She teleported to the passage outside the Mushroom Man underground area, and continued to extend the passage further down, all the way to the deep underground.

“Lord, what are you doing?” asked an adventurer who was planning to go to the Mushroom Man Theater upon seeing the new passage.

Mu Ying smiled mysteriously, “It’s a secret.”

She casually tossed a thick stone slab to block the passage, preventing others from disturbing her any further.

Player: “...”

Why keep me in suspense?

I’m so curious!

Mu Ying reached the end of the corridor and let Little Stone out, “Let’s do it here!”

Little Stone rolled into a ball and clattered over to a dirt wall, then sat down against it.

The dirt automatically dissolved, replaced by a stone house.

The area wasn’t large; Mu Ying estimated it to be around fifty square meters with a ceiling slightly over two meters high, and the inside was completely empty.

After the stone house appeared, Little Stone returned to its previous soft and sticky texture, and became a bit smaller in size.

If it weren’t for the fact that on the Player Manual’s Underground City page it still said age 1, Mu Ying would have thought it had shrunk from hunger again.

However, after this room appeared, Little Stone was no longer round, but a square rectangular prism, looking like a miniature version of the stone house.

This was normal; after the first room of the Underground Core grew, the core would maintain the appearance of its own architecture, and since Little Stone currently only had one room, it was square.

Actually, the method Mu Ying thought of was very simple and hardly needed any arrangement.

It was simply a Damage Test House based on the recovery ability of the Underground City.

The inside was completely open, with nothing, only different wall areas divided according to profession.

Holding Little Red in its longsword form, she drew a line on the wall designated for Druids, and immediately, a scratch appeared on the wall.

Looking at Little Stone, a similar damage appeared at the corresponding spot.

“How much?” Mu Ying asked.

Little Stone: 1.

“Every time you give feedback, directly mark the damage level number next to the attack point,” Mu Ying told Little Stone.

Little Stone was exquisitely sensitive to any breach or damage to its own body, in other words, it was like a natural strength sensor.

Mu Ying stepped back a few paces, applied the Oak Stick Technique and Enhanced Attributes to herself, then charged forward with all her might and stabbed the wall.

A “10” soon appeared on the wall.

She then took out the Green Wood Longbow and shot with the most powerful Gold Stone Elemental Arrow.

“12”

The damage number wasn’t high, which was normal since Mu Ying’s attack power wasn’t strong, and she was facing a stone wall, after all.

Moreover, the number Little Stone displayed correlated with the extent of the wall’s damage; both the longsword and arrows’ attack area were too small.

The room was made of stone, and Druid abilities were not inherently adept at breaking such defense; among all the spells, except for the Stone Shaping Technique, there wasn’t one that could cause widespread damage to the wall.

After she transformed into the White Wolf, she charged at the wall and viciously scratched it a few times, producing a higher number “20.”

She asked Little Stone to erase the marks on the wall.

Then she left the stone house, widened the corridor a bit into the likeness of a small hall, and reinforced it with stone.

This way, the exposed wall surface of the stone house was enlarged.

Mu Ying conveyed her thoughts to Little Stone.

The appearance of the wall began to change; first, a few words were added above the doorway: “Damage Test House.”

Then, a leaderboard section and a rule introduction area were added beside it.

After communicating with Little Stone, she removed the stones blocking the corridor and teleported back to the Plantation.

At the same time, a notice appeared on the Territory Notice Board.
