I Live on the Land in Global Games

Although the land was bought by Mu Ying, Windsor also wanted to work hard to make money to make up for it, as she was not one to be dependent on others.

Therefore, Mu Ying had an idea, “Why don’t we use Crystal Coral to create a landscape and build a house with shore-like scenery!”

She had used the Shaping Wood Skill and Stone Shaping Technique frequently in reality and had strong control over Plant Magic, so shaping should be no problem.

Upon hearing this, Windsor brightened up immediately.

Once the plan was settled, the two of them started drawing on paper, with Rosie and Bertrand occasionally giving some suggestions.

Windsor could even use Ice Formation to bring the design on the paper to life for everyone to see the effect.

The efficiency was very high, and by late night, they had finalized their plans.

Yawning, they collapsed into bed and fell asleep.

The next morning, they were awakened by a knock on the door.

Mu Ying had not had enough sleep and did not want to get up, so she grabbed a vine seed, closed her eyes, and hastened its growth, letting it spread to the door to open it.

“Hello, for the service of 1 Gold Coin...” Yiyeta said with a smile, halving her sentence when she saw that it wasn’t a person opening the door but relaxed immediately.

Accustomed to such oddities, she took down the few Gold Coins wrapped around the tip of the vine.

“Go back,” she said and kindly helped to close the door.

She understood completely, as she was the same.

After a good sleep, Mu Ying and the others prepared to start building the house.

Senior Sister Rosie stayed to help generate the Crystal Coral, and even Bertrand took on a task, using the money Mu Ying gave him to help purchase the specific-colored Crystal Coral Seed they needed.

Otherwise, it would have been quite difficult for just Mu Ying and Windsor to handle such a large project.

When they came downstairs, they finally formally met the inn’s owner, Yitaye, and got acquainted with each other.

Upon hearing that they had bought the land opposite and were planning to build a house and open a shop, Yitaye suddenly perked up, “I’ll help you out; I’m quite free anyway.

Even if nothing else, I can help make the land flat and nourish it a bit.”

Yitaye was the Orange Witch, and Mu Ying trusted her ability deeply, knowing by the completely brick-and-stone structure that blended seamlessly into the surrounding inn that her Earth Magic must be powerful.

Seeing her enthusiasm, Mu Ying agreed, as they would be neighbors in the future and this was a good opportunity to get to know her better, “Once it’s done, I’ll treat you to a drink!”

“Deal, haha!” Yitaye said happily, loving the idea of a drinking buddy!

When they got to the site opposite, Yitaye looked at their blueprints and started leveling the land according to their plan, making the area where they planned to plant fertile and soft, and compacting the ground where they planned pathways.

She finished in just a few breaths.

The house designed by Mu Ying and her team was a small building covered entirely by green vines, with a variety of flowers at the windowsills and the base of the walls, and even a rooftop open-air small garden.

The front yard was smaller and had a few irregular flower beds, while the backyard was larger and was left empty for the time being; they planned to make it into a medicinal garden for Mu Ying.

Whether it was green vines or flowers, they planned to use Crystal Coral to realize them.

This was a massive project, but with the aid of magic, it wasn’t that difficult.

Originally, they had planned to use white Crystal Coral for the walls, but when Yiyeta heard this, she offered to help build with sea sand, which was convenient and quick.

Later, Windsor could engrave a few solidifying Magic Marks on it, which would make it very sturdy.

Her method was indeed faster, and the effect was nearly the same, fitting their overall style well.

Mu Ying silently added a few more drinks to the tally of drinks she owed; this was a huge help—drinking once was completely insufficient; this was truly a construction wonder!

True to the Orange Witch’s reputation, she could make a building rise from the ground with just one hand.

Yiyeta took charge of the main body of the building, Windsor was responsible for engraving the Magic Marks, and Mu Ying and Rosie just needed to cultivate the decorative Crystal Coral and then install them one by one.

The first thing that was needed most was Crystal Coral shaped like green vines.

They chose Crystal Coral Seeds of varying shades of green and cultivated them one by one.

Just as Senior Sister Rosie had said, Crystal Coral was indeed easy to cultivate, conveying a sense of infinite malleability, more so than other plants, which all came from its smoothly conducting energy property.

Moreover, what was even more precious was that since Crystal Coral remained in the state it was at the moment of death, there was no wilting, so even if Mu Ying and the others excessively used plant magic to accelerate growth, there was no problem; they remained crystal clear and beautiful, requiring only careful control over their growth form.

Yiyeta and the others finished building the main structure of the house very quickly and began the relay of hanging the cultivated green vine-shaped Crystal Coral on the exterior walls of the house.

This step was simple, just a wave of the Magic Wand was enough.

The cultivation and assembly of a vast number of various floral Crystal Corals took them a full three days, and that was just a rough arrangement in a few large areas; there were still some corners and edges to fill and optimize.

As the exterior of the house slowly took shape, it attracted many mermaids to gather around.

Since there were witches living in the city, even though their numbers might not be large, the mermaids weren’t that naive due to the terrestrial things the witches brought with them.

Recognizing some common flowers like roses and tulips was still possible for them in the terrestrial Crystal Coral-formed flora, but many others were unknown.

That’s because many were replicas of magical plants that Mu Ying and Rosie were most familiar with; even some they had never cultivated firsthand, just seen in books, they also creatively crafted based on the records, and eventually, they even started to have fun with it.

For instance, the front yard’s flower beds contained a large cluster of Crystal Coral Dingling Flowers, as well as a cluster of Star Flowers.

The large tree in the yard was a Fire Leaf Maple, whose leaves resembled red flames.

This was a magical plant that had gone extinct, only existing in botanical guides.

While being watched during their build, they got acquainted with many mermaids and a few witches who lived permanently in the city.

Mermaids often came to ask what this was and what that was, and sometimes Mu Ying and the others would cultivate a flower or a leaf and give it to these curious onlookers, winning their favor.

This made Mu Ying and Rosie discover a new business opportunity; it seemed more profitable to sell these cultivated, shaped Crystal Corals than magic potions.

Mu Ying didn’t want to expend the effort as her real purpose in opening the shop was to gather information about the little mermaid princess, awaiting the unfolding of the story; her desire to make money wasn’t great, so she left this business to Senior Sister Rosie.

Therefore, their shop selling magic potions, alchemy, and fragrance sets gained another revenue stream: Crystal Coral flowers.

Senior Sister Rosie was also planning to invest in their shop.

Now, it was like Mu Ying was investing with the land, while Windsor and Rosie were investing with their management.
