I Live on the Land in Global Games

Chapter 337 - 337 333 Transformation and Detection337: Chapter 333: Transformation and Detection 337: Chapter 333: Transformation and Detection Raising a child is not easy, sighed the mother.

In the end, it was because she was not strong enough!

Mu Ying clenched her fist, only when she was strong enough, would she not worry about failing to protect the things she cared about.

Just like at the beginning, she only dared to conceal her role as a Lord, and later, when she was more stable and confident in her strength, did she dare to reveal it.

Now, the Underground City is something even more special than the territory, the danger comes not from the humans of Deep Blue Star, but from those outsiders, to whom a newly born Underground City is very precious.

Moreover, Little Stone is still young, and the contract is not very stable, unlike her Lord status which cannot be seized.

Thinking too much is useless; she still has to strive to become stronger!

While waiting for the Magic Potion formula for most of the month, she could not sit idle.

She needed to learn Magic Spells, and also accumulate Professional Experience.

She would learn the Magic Spells according to the order she had planned for herself, one by one.

Next in line were the Transformation Skill and Detecting Skill.

There was also the last learned Confusion Technique, which needed to be consolidated.

She had learned it in a hurry, and the Magic Casting level still needed improvement.

At this moment, when Mu Ying opened the Magic List and closely studied the information of these two spells, she indeed discovered new surprises.

Because the higher the number of Magic Rings, the more complex the information appears, seeming to take more time to study.

Usually, when Mu Ying planned her learning order, she only referred to the brief descriptions of the effects of each spell, content of one or two sentences.

But sometimes, one or two sentences are not enough to summarize the overall effect of a spell.

So, when it came time to formally learn, there were still surprises, such as with the Transformation Skill.

The summary of the Transformation Skill stated: it could transform any willing creature that you could see within the spell’s range into a new form.

It did not specify what new forms specifically, and previously Mu Ying thought it was a Magic Control technique that could be used to restrict an opponent through transformation.

But considering that during her Wild Transformation, the animal form and the original body shared two health bars, she believed using this spell to transform the enemy into a weak form and then killing them was not advisable.

Just a restrictive effect without actual harm, how could a powerful opponent who needs such measures to be confined willingly submit to being transformed?

But now, after careful study, she realized it was indeed possible to transform a creature into any beast lower than your own level without resistance, if the opponent did not resist and complied with your spell.

However, if the opponent resisted, then what determined the success of the spell was not just the Profession Level, but also the Perception Attribute.

Mu Ying, a Druid apart from being a Priest, who else was there to fear when it came to Perception Attribute?

Now, after leveling up to level 8, she had used up the Natural Attribute Points added to her Perception, which reached 19 points.

Her greatest enemies now were those watchful Vampires in the Blood Crow Nest.

But none of them had a Talent for Perception.

Take Sharon for example, just a Level 9 Magician, only one level higher than Mu Ying; this level advantage, with her 19 points of Perception Attribute, still made the probability of successful spellcasting of the Transformation Skill quite high.

If she could effectively restrain opponents who were higher in level and stronger than herself, even if it meant trapping them in weaker animal forms, killing them in those animal forms would only revert them to their original forms without additional damage.

Yet, the practicality of this approach was incomparable.

Imagine, once she had mastered the Transformation Skill, as soon as Sharon approached, she could turn her into a little lamb, allowing herself to stroll away leisurely while Sharon could only wait for the spell to wear off to revert back.

In the meantime, she’d be indistinguishable from a real lamb, perhaps even nibbling some grass.

By the time she regained her form, she’d probably be furious.

“Haha,” Mu Ying couldn’t help laughing at the thought.

To be even more malicious, she could carry the lamb over the sea, tie it up with a few heavy stones, and drop it into the water.

The lamb would drown quickly and then revert to its original form.

What would follow was the erosion from seawater as harsh as sulfuric acid.

Even if she could transform into a crow or something and fly up, the damage would not be light.

To be even more cunning, she thought of using the Transformation Skill to capture vampires one by one and then create a water prison at sea to lock them up.

With that thought, vampires suddenly didn’t seem so scary anymore.

But as much as she thought about it, proceeding in this way would definitely burn bridges.

If it didn’t succeed in one go and any mishap allowed the opponent to become alert, it could get troublesome.

She herself wasn’t afraid, but the players in her territory couldn’t always hide there; being targeted was not a good thing.

Moreover, vampires had skills like misting to escape, so the likelihood of rounding them up solely with the Transformation Skill wasn’t high.

Yet, at the moment, Mu Ying was still joyful about soon possessing a powerful spell.

The Detecting Skill was also a pleasant surprise.

This was a spell from the Prophetic Element.

As a green witch, Mu Ying had zero talent for Prediction Magic, but during her days in the Rose Kingdom and the Thorny Kingdom, she was constantly overshadowed by the prophetic shadow of the Fairy Godmother Tanatos.

Her actions were anticipated by her, and even when she deliberately altered her plans later, she never escaped the predictive grasp of Five-finger Mountain.

Therefore, she held a great reverence for prophetic abilities.

The Detecting Skill definitely did not match the predictive magic of Tanatos, but it was an excellent means of tracking enemy movements.

This spell allowed one to see and hear a being existing on the same plane as oneself.

Like the Transformation Skill, this too was a spell that could easily fail.

Even if the spell caster’s technique and ability were flawless, many restrictions existed still.

These included the opponent’s level and strength as well as one’s understanding and physical connection to them.

The more you knew about the person, the easier the spell could succeed.

Additionally, if you had an item linked to them, it would increase the success rate—the deeper the connection, the higher the probability of success.

Effective items could be the person’s portrait, belongings, and even body tissues like hair or nails.

This spell also had great utility.

Since vampires were her greatest threat at present, all spell applications targeted them, and Detecting Skill could clearly be used to monitor vampire activities.

The more she knew, the more confident she could be when acting.

Information was also crucial in combat.

However, whether it would succeed would only be known when tried.

Even if it failed with Sharon, she still had seven vampire servants who could find loopholes.

Given her current pace of learning Level 4 spells, by the time she mastered these two spells, there should also be a reply from the Magic Potion Teacher.

Confident, Mu Ying let Little Stone play on the pile of rocks while she began her spell studies for the day.
