I Live on the Land in Global Games

Chapter 342 - 342 338 Gill Pouch Grass342: Chapter 338 Gill Pouch Grass 342: Chapter 338 Gill Pouch Grass After listening to Lily’s descriptions, Mu Ying roughly understood that even though Lily was using “Water Tide” to assist her, she still needed to personally experience the power of the tide by the coast to master the skill.

But the current conditions didn’t allow it.

She couldn’t possibly leave the territory on land, with Sharon watching her every move!

After nightfall today, Sharon and her seven male servants had all gone to the territory.

Liu Luoluo even sent her a message saying they had lingered around her tree house for a long time and even knocked on her door.

She didn’t even need to think about what they intended to do.

Mu Ying didn’t even want to go back and waste words with them.

Last night’s negotiations had been enough; she would leave them hanging for a couple of days.

If the tide occurred during the day, it would be fine, but unfortunately, tides mostly happened during the early mornings and evenings.

However, it was a pity to put off learning it as the sooner she mastered it, the sooner she would benefit and could add some advantages for future battles.

So, Mu Ying turned her attention to the Harbor Camp.

The initial construction of the Harbor Camp was mainly to deal with the Fishmen, and the future port of the territory hadn’t started preparations yet, so although the camp was on the coast, it was still some distance from the water.

Expanding the Harbor Camp was an option, but then the daily maintenance cost of the protective shield’s energy would also increase, which seemed a bit wasteful.

After thinking it over, Mu Ying decided to adjust the shape of the protective shield of the Harbor Camp tomorrow.

Previously, to deal with the Fishmen, the camp was shaped as a horizontal strip; this time, she would adjust it to a vertical strip that plunged directly into the sea.

As long as the original point of the camp’s construction wasn’t outside the range of the camp, only a small amount of energy would be needed for the adjustment.

She estimated the distance and felt it was feasible.

So she said to Lily, “We’ll go to the Harbor Camp tomorrow morning.

I’ll adjust the camp’s layout so from now on we can practice the Tide Meditation Method there.”

“Sure!” Lily had no objections.

“Let’s rest early then,” Mu Ying suggested.

Lily slept in the hot spring bathtub, while Mu Ying slept on the big bed.

The next day before dawn, a person and a fish had breakfast early, then exited the Space Suitcase and teleported to the Harbor Camp together.

At that time, the Harbor Camp was still empty.

Outside, in the ruins of the Fishman Village, traces of the battle were still visible.

Mu Ying collected all the wooden frames she had constructed for the battle, then adjusted the shape of the Harbor Camp’s protective shield, which now stretched from behind the Mermaid Village through the ruins and into the sea for about ten meters.

Lily immediately jumped into the water.

Mu Ying also walked to the seaside and took out a large stone from her Space Ring and placed it in the water.

Then, Lily leaped onto the stone, her tail occasionally slapping the water, as Mu Ying also sat beside her, quietly waiting for the tide to rise.

A flash of light suddenly appeared at the dark sea horizon.

The sunrise timidly peeked out.

“Wow, it’s the sunrise!

The tide is coming!” Lily exclaimed excitedly.

Mu Ying had never witnessed such a complete sunrise by the seaside before.

At that junction of water and sky, the tide, reflecting the morning glow, surged towards the shore.

The first step of the Tide Cultivation Method was to observe the tides.

Observe and think, first observe, then reflect.

The first time Mu Ying watched, she didn’t have a deep purpose but relaxed her mind and viewed it with an appreciating eye.

This look allowed her to see the rising sun and the retreating tides.

The only sensation the morning tide left her with was its beauty.

Afterwards, she and Lily teleported back to the Undersea Planting Camp, ready to plant Gill Pouch Grass and Fish Tail Grass.

Mu Ying took out their seeds and introduced them to Lily, “This Gill Pouch Grass is a common herbaceous aquatic plant of elongated form, whose leaf edges contain specks of green fluorescent material.

The surface of its leaves is covered with a thin layer of water film, which often bubbles up due to its breathing.

It is precisely because of this characteristic that it’s used as the main ingredient in Breathing Potions.

When mature, the tiny green fluorescent specks on the leaves of the Gill Pouch Grass form a small ball, which then falls off the leaf, and these are its seeds.”

However, after the seeds drop, the water film on the surface of the Gill Pouch Grass’s leaves thickens, and at a certain moment, it suddenly disappears, after which the Gill Pouch Grass will suffocate and die.

So when the water film thickens, it’s the best time to harvest, as the taste of the Gill Pouch Grass is best then; because the water film is sweet, it’s like eating seaweed wrapped in a tender sugar-coated jelly.”

The vitality of Gill Pouch Grass is very tenacious, in that Trial World’s ocean, it exists like a weed, able to grow wildly wherever there is a foothold, basically without much care needed.”

Lily, holding a strand of blank shell books, listened and wrote hurriedly with her nails, aiming to record everything Mu Ying said, deeply implementing the point that a good memory is less reliable than a bad pen.

“Its life force is quite strong, and as it is a common plant, I can use Plant Magic to accelerate its growth to maturity and directly obtain the seeds,”

Mu Ying said while lightly burying the Gill Pouch Grass in the seabed, then had Little Red transform into a Magic Wand form and cast Plant Magic on the planted area.

Immediately, the Gill Pouch Grass began to germinate and grow at a rate visible to the naked eye.

To prevent any accidents from wasting this only seed, Mu Ying also controlled her Magic Power output speed, choosing a more cautious approach.

Lily stopped writing with her nails, watching this scene in amazement, admiration nearly spilling from her eyes.

Yingying was too amazing, was cultivating this easy?

After the Gill Pouch Grass began to grow, it sprouted bits of green fluorescence.

Lily did not dare to breathe, her tail stiff and straight, afraid to move it and possibly disturb Mu Ying’s spell casting, as that would ruin the beautiful plant.

In Lily’s view, Mu Ying spent last night sleeping in a Space Suitcase, whereas in reality, she had stayed in the Trial World for over a week.

She hadn’t taken the shop much to heart, merely displaying the Magic Potions she practiced making daily on the shelves with a price tag, then dove right into the backyard soil.

By the time she finished her trial, she had already harvested several crops of Gill Pouch Grass and Fish Tail Grass from her backyard, becoming completely familiar with the process.

This time she was doubly careful, virtually eliminating the possibility of failure.

In just a few minutes, the Gill Pouch Grass reached maturity, the fluorescent specks on the leaves becoming prominent and gradually falling off, while the water film thickened.

[You have cultivated a new type of plant “Gill Pouch Grass,” which is stable in nature and has some edibility, earning Professional Experience ×100.]

Mu Ying was surprised when she saw the system prompt.

The Experience reward from this Gill Pouch Grass was quite high.

Normally, common plants, when transformed and cultivated, would yield just ten or twenty points, but she hadn’t expected this one to nearly increase tenfold, a truly unexpected delight.
