I Live on the Land in Global Games

Chapter 316 - 316 312 Eternal Life Without Freedom316: Chapter 312: Eternal Life Without Freedom 316: Chapter 312: Eternal Life Without Freedom Lady Sharon wanted to say that Elves didn’t have a custom of minors not drinking alcohol; even the blood of Elves carried the scent of alcohol.

But seeing that Mu Ying’s expression had relaxed somewhat and the feeling of rejection seemed less intense, she decided not to argue.

The girl was quite guarded, and it was better to stroke her the right way.

“Then big sister will enjoy it herself.” Lady Sharon picked up the wine her servant had poured for her, elegantly toasting Mu Ying and Liu Luoluo.

She swirled the glass filled with red liquid and took a sip, savoring it carefully.

Feeling that everyone’s gaze had fallen on her face, Lady Sharon smiled slightly, gently licking her lips.

Mu Ying: “...”

Case cracked, Vampires probably can’t taste the flavor of the drink either.

If they had any taste, they wouldn’t be able to smile after drinking this.

Worried about being affected by an angry customer, Bruce, who did not receive the reaction he expected, inconspicuously moved closer to Mu Ying and her group at the bar and tentatively said, “How is it?

It didn’t disappoint you, did it?”

So damaging, doesn’t he know the taste at all?

“It’s just so-so, the color isn’t clear enough,” Sharon said.

Mu Ying couldn’t help laughing, but her tone wasn’t good, “Do you Vampires all taste wine by its color?

The more it resembles blood, the more you like it?”

“Of course not, why does Lord Sister have such a big problem with me?” Sharon said, her tone somewhat aggrieved, “I mean no harm.”

“Blood-eating Vampires coming into human territory, is it just to smell the aroma?” Mu Ying said sarcastically.

Lady Sharon waved her hand, “I’m not one of those low-level creatures who can’t control their appetite, and I really can’t bear to hurt beautiful people.

If you wish, I could also give you a First Embrace, so that you can be like me— not only forever young but also much stronger.”

“Heh, First Embrace?

To be forever dominated by you, a First Embrace where you are the master?

And stay forever young?

Is youth that cannot see sunlight and is confined to one’s own tomb interesting?” Mu Ying didn’t leave her any face.

A Vampire’s immortality is not a free immortality; every Vampire is bound by its coffin, crypt, or graveyard and must slumber within it during the daytime.

Vampires who did not even receive a proper funeral before death must lie within an inch under the soil of their transformation site.

Even humans transformed by Vampires first go through death and a funeral before they can emerge from their graves.

Vampires with proper funerals can move along with their coffins, whereas those without proper funerals are forced to move vast quantities of grave soil to change their resting places, which is quite troublesome.

So Vampires cherish their coffins, which are their resting places.

In their long lifetime, most of their time is spent sleeping in the lonely coffin and graveyard.

No matter the level and lineage, it’s always like this, though more powerful ones can be slightly more flexible.

They don’t have to return to sleep every daytime; they can accumulate sleeping time and get it all at once.

But at present, one was a civilian Vampire, needing to return to slumber daily, and the other a Baron, who at most could accumulate about three days’ worth of time before having to sleep all at once.

What does it matter even if they have a Blood Crow Nest?

Mu Ying had also watched the Blood Crow carrying its nest and relocating not long ago.

Its move speed was more or less the same as a person walking, and its durability in loaded flight was poor; it couldn’t fly for long before it had to land.

After carrying its nest for a distance, the Blood Crow wouldn’t come out to hunt for food for several days, indicating that the intervals for rest during such flights were quite long.

Otherwise, they wouldn’t have been migrating south for so long and still not reached the original location of Coastal City!

Although Vampires do have the ability to shapeshift, capable of transforming into bats or crows for flight, how far could they get from the deep sleep land in just one night?

Liu Luoluo gave Lady Sharon the illusion that the Vampires of Deep Blue Star were romanticized by the natives, but knowing the threat now, even if they couldn’t cope with it temporarily, Mu Ying was searching for information and understanding them in every way possible.

She understood Vampires far more than Sharon ever imagined.

Hit by Mu Ying’s words, Sharon’s expression turned ferocious for a moment, with fierce dark red blood vessels bursting from the corner of her eyes and sharp fangs exposed.

Although it calmed down quickly, and she resumed her pretty appearance, the cup in her hand shattered with a crack at the moment of her outburst.

Shards of glass mixed with the dark red, murky wine stabbed into her palm.

The wound looked terrifying, with flesh and bone clearly visible, but not a single drop of blood spilled out.

Sharon, with a dangerous smile on her face, slowly plucked the shards of glass out and laid them on the bar.

What she hated the most was when people said she was trapped in a tomb!

That little irritant who poked at people’s wounds was so annoying; she really wanted to taste the sweetest and most fragrant blood at that little one’s neck, then watch her crawl before her.

For her, Sharon, unlike those useless folks, the Blood Crow Nest was her proudest possession.

It wasn’t just capable of transporting the entire nest, including the graveyard and coffins, but also could brew the most delicious Blood Essence.

Being a servant of hers, Sharon, was not something just anyone could be; being chosen was their honour.

Whatever she wanted had to be hers.

“Do you shun me because you’re scared?” Sharon’s gaze was full of aggression, as if trying to peer into Mu Ying’s soul.

“Scared?” Mu Ying laughed, “Lady Sharon, are you perhaps too confident?

With your Level 9 Magician’s ability?

Or your pure-blood lineage?

Or maybe that group of weak individuals, the Undead Blood Crows, who only succeed in large numbers?”

The players in the territory didn’t know much about Vampires, their knowledge entirely stemming from pre-apocalypse legends about Vampires on Deep Blue Star, so initially, they thought of them as Alien Races like mermaids and Half-Breeds, and even paid to enter the territory with more likelihood of good intentions.

But once Blood Crows were mentioned, everyone understood why the Lord had that attitude from the start.

Though a Blood Crow attack was seen as an opportunity to make a fortune for players within Qingshan Town’s territory, thanks to the protective shield, it was completely safe.

However, not every time the Blood Crows attacked did everyone manage to return to the safety of the territory in time.

Those caught outdoors by the swarms of Blood Crows all became missing persons, with virtually no chance of survival.

And the decimation of the Spirit Dragon Gorge Camp was a bloody reality.

“I might indeed be of a lower level than you, but that doesn’t mean I fear you.

We could never be friends unless you stop harming people; but how can Vampires live without harming people?

So just be honest, there’s no need for pretending or hiding your true nature.

Just say what you want to do!”

Mu Ying tore away the last shred of modesty.
