I Live on the Land in Global Games

Chapter 307 - 307 303 Level 8 Druid307: Chapter 303: Level 8 Druid 307: Chapter 303: Level 8 Druid [After the baptism of nature, you have become a Level 8 Druid.]

[Based on your Druid level, the daily usage count of your Profession Skill, Wild Transformation, increases by 1.]

[Based on your Druid level, your Life Value rises to 670.]

[Based on your Druid level, your Mana Value rises to 160.]

[Based on your Druid level, you gain 1 Natural attribute point.]

[No new spells unlocked at this level.]

The level up process ended, and the power of nature dissipated, awakening Mu Ying.

The changes at level 8 were not significant: Life Value increased by 80 points, Mana Value by 10 points, and no new spells or skills were gained, except for the usage count of Wild Transformation, which went from twice per day to three times.

However, all these were less important compared to that 1 Natural attribute point.

After such a long time, she finally gained 1 Natural attribute point again, last time was when she leveled up to 4.

Looking at it this way, leveling up could also yield Natural attribute points, just once every 4 levels.

The next would not be until level 12.

Without a second thought, she added that 1 Natural attribute point to Perception.

Since Natural attribute points were so rare, it made more sense to invest in a stronger attribute rather than supplementing the weaker ones.

Looking at her attribute panel again:

...

[Profession: Druid Level 8 (180/3600)]

[Life Value: 670/670]

[Mana Value: 160/160]

[Attributes: Strength 8 (+1), Constitution 13, Agility 14 (+2), Intelligence 12, Perception 18+1, Charm 15]

...

The Experience Value for level 8 had increased to 3600, 800 more than at level 7.

Now that the Fishman Altar had also been destroyed by her, obtaining a significant amount of experience in a short time would be difficult.

There were also some changes in the attribute column.

Compared to a year ago, her attribute values had really changed a lot.

The attribute bonuses displayed in brackets are from the equipment: the green quality Ironwood Bracelet added 1 point to Strength, and the blue-quality Thousand Faces Clothes added 2 points to Agility—these would be gone if the equipment were removed.

Only Little Red, who has signed a contract with her, becoming her symbiotic plant, was part of her, and the 3 points of Constitution it added to her were integrated into her body, essentially her own attributes.

Apart from these clearly displayed benefits, leveling up would also increase her affinity with nature, as well as the effect of related Druid spells and skills, such as spell duration and power.

Therefore, unless the attributes are exceptional, it is difficult for professionals of the same type to face enemies of a higher level in direct confrontation.

However, each profession has its advantages and weaknesses, and there are more factors to consider in combat, so levels aren’t the sole deciding factor.

When dealing with wild beasts, Magic Beasts, or even some races with unusual bloodlines, overcoming a level difference can be tough, especially for those with magic-like abilities because they aren’t like human Spellcasters who tend to be physically weaker, like the Cold Deer—who are not only strong in spellcasting abilities but also in physical fitness.

In the end, even after leveling up to 8, she didn’t dare to take on the Cold Deer.

If it weren’t for Clan Leader Ned’s powerful assassination technique this time, she would have had to rely on the players’ strength to weaken its spell-casting abilities before making a move.

Moreover, being close to the ocean, if the Fishman Priest wanted to flee, she would find it difficult to stop him.

The Fishmen fell so rapidly mainly because of Clan Leader Ned’s decapitation action, as well as the suppression of the Fishman Priest’s Water Control Skill by the Mermaid Warriors, plus the help from the Mushroom Men.

She could set up a camp next to Mermaid Village to negate their home field advantage, but that wouldn’t work with the Cold Deer.

They were few in number, but each one was elite, and they were very agile, making the human wave tactic ineffective.

Clan Leader Ned might be able to single-handedly cut through the Cold Deer, and the right to manage a camp for Mu Ying was sold at a very high value, nearly equivalent to a protective umbrella for a territory.

But to have him fight far from his territory, his strength would also be suppressed.

And Mu Ying did not want to depend on others for everything.

It was nice to let others weaken the prey and then come in for a stab to gain a ton of experience, but it wasn’t a long-term solution.

It was more reassuring to rely on oneself.

If she couldn’t kill the Cold Deer, then amassing experience in the coming days would be very long.

Mu Ying was prepared for this, and taking the time to consolidate was also good.

Only scattered Fishmen fugitives remained on this front; without their number advantage when grouped together, they were no longer a match for the players.

The Fishman Altar had also been burned to the ground.

Without the Divine Statue and Sacrificial Altar, the redness slowly faded from this sea area, returning to its original color.

In time, the ecology of this sea area would slowly recover.

Through the vision of the Eye of Nature, she could already see natural power slowly affecting this place.

The mission to eradicate the Fishmen could be considered a complete success.

Mu Ying breathed a sigh of relief, but she did not remove the mission as the scattered Fishmen still needed to be dealt with.

Perhaps without the Divine Statue and Priestess, it might take the Fishman tribes a long time to regain their former strength and possibly they could not build such an altar again for a while.

But with their reproductive capability, restoring their previous numbers wouldn’t be difficult.

Since they had become enemies, it was essential to follow through to the end.

The remaining task could be left to the players in the territory.

After completing her level upgrade, Mu Ying teleported back to the Plantation.

Gungun had a particularly good time throwing fruit today; its taunting effect was washed away by the Fishman Priest with sea water, and it was still eager to continue, so it stayed behind to keep troubling the Fishmen.

Mu Ying was not worried about it; Gungun’s defense ability was already very strong.

It could easily take on two or three Fishmen by itself, and there were many players nearby.

She went to thank the Mushroom Man Elders and Priestess Granny for sending their people to help today.

After all, compared to the Half-Breeds who helped for gaining Contribution Points, the Mushroom Men and Merfolk mainly employed controlling attacks in their assault—it was sheer help.

Mushroom Man Clan Chief: “Ah?

They took action?

Actually, they went there today to witness the battle, to gather material for ‘Qingshan Town New Year Celebration Film Part 2.’ Only with firsthand experience can we recreate the events more realistically and perfectly.

Last year we relied on hearsay, which was somewhat unsatisfactory.

If they took action, it was surely just for fun; you don’t need to thank us!”

The reason for the Mushroom Men’s involvement was unexpected for her.

How long till the New Year, and they were already preparing for the second installment of the New Year film?

Mu Ying could only emphasize that she hoped their documentary would be a bit more factual and not like the last time—filled with nothing but flattery.

Priestess Granny, on the other hand, waved her hand dismissively and said, “Even without us, you would have managed just fine.

Besides, they attempted to defile the sea with an Evil God, which we cannot tolerate.

If such a thing happens again, just talk to Granny directly.

We’re all family here.

We may not be much help on land, but in the sea, the Mermaid Clan still has a say.”
