I Live on the Land in Global Games

Chapter 312 - 312 308 Unexpected Guests312: Chapter 308 Unexpected Guests 312: Chapter 308 Unexpected Guests Zheng Jing eyed the little griffin that clearly held great trust in Mu Ying, her envy nearly spilling over.

Before the two little griffins in the shed hatched, this was precisely the scene she had imagined in her mind.

Don’t bird species generally recognize the first creature they see after hatching as their mother or master?

The griffin, truly a creature with the head of an eagle and the body of a lion, completely defied expectations.

While it did call out for mother, there wasn’t a shred of mother-child affection present; the calls seemed to be merely intended to fool people.

However, the little griffin that Mu Ying picked up halfway through was just as rough with others as the other griffins, but it was clearly different with her – Zheng Jing was so envious.

Following Zheng Jing’s instructions, Mu Ying used animal conversation to tell the little griffin, “You need to listen to her, you’re not allowed to peck her anymore.

She will take good care of you, and I will come to see you when I have time.”

The little griffin was stunned.

After a while, it still nodded its head and let go of Mu Ying’s pant leg, toddling towards Zheng Jing.

“Good heavens, you’ve actually tamed it!” Zheng Jing was stunned.

She once again tentatively tried to hug the little griffin, and it didn’t attack her.

It was a bit reluctant and stiff, as if it was trying hard to control something, but it still didn’t resist.

Zheng Jing hugged the little griffin contentedly, “Good boy, your sister will take great care of you!”

“The warm little nest I’ve prepared can finally be used!”

Overjoyed, Zheng Jing carried the little griffin back to the shed.

This little griffin was unlike the two savage little creatures; there was no need for forceful subjugation anymore thanks to Mu Ying’s words, which had made it obedient.

There was no further need for stick-based discipline – just providing different training projects suitable for its growth stages would suffice.

“Chirp chirp!” The little griffin stubbornly poked its head out from Zheng Jing’s embrace, looking at Mu Ying with wet, longing eyes.

Although it was an ugly little bald chick, not striking Mu Ying’s “cute” chord, she was still quite moved that it had warmed up to her so quickly.

After all, the stark contrast was still present – the sound of rattling coming from the iron cages in the shed was still there!

A griffin wasn’t a creature that could be tamed with little acts of kindness.

It was quite rare for the little griffin to behave this way.

Mu Ying almost wanted to take it back and raise it herself.

But the little griffin was different from Gungun.

Gungun didn’t need to learn how to walk; just feed it, and it would slowly grow and awaken abilities.

Without an adult griffin to guide it, in order to achieve the combat power and flight ability of an adult, the little griffin needed various kinds of training, which also fell under beast taming skills.

Zheng Jing had the skills to guide it and was a bit more professional than Mu Ying, and she really didn’t have that much time to nurture it, considering that Xiao Gungun was already in a free-range state everyday.

She would just have to come and see it more often when she had the time.

Mu Ying didn’t enter the shed again so as not to affect the little griffin with her presence and directly teleported away.

It was already dark, but it was still early for bedtime.

Although she still had some mana left and could practice spells for a little while longer, she just wanted to relax for now.

So she transformed into the White Wolf and teleported to the shores of Moon Lake, finding the Sky Wolf Pack that were playing and resting by the lakeside.

It had been a while since she had spent time with the Sky Wolves.

The last batch of little wolf pups had grown to the age where they could practice hunting, and they were tumbling, biting, and wrestling on the grass.

The young Sky Wolves were also fighting, but their brawls were more intense and violent, as they were competing for mates, with players cheering and watching the lively scene.

Elsewhere, the adult Sky Wolves lay in pairs, leisurely lounging and grooming each other’s fur.

Upon her arrival, Mu Ying consciously joined the adult group.

She certainly didn’t want to fight; lounging to one side and enjoying the breeze was enough.

They also participated in the mission to subdue the Fishmen today.

“Awooo!

(We can’t cause trouble, we have to protect you, it’s the King’s order!)” Da Hui said, lowering his head to the figurine Shi Yin perched atop Mu Ying’s head.

Mu Ying: “...”

“Awoo?

(So you’re participating in the battle today to help me?)”

Da Hui nodded, “Awoo!

(And also to earn Contribution Points, to become your formal subjects in a dignified manner.

We can’t be outdone by humans, can we?)”

Mu Ying shook her head, flicking the figurine Shi Yin off, and poked him with her paw.

She really didn’t know what kind of ideas he’d instilled in his subordinates.

The figurine Shi Yin obediently sat on the ground, allowing her to poke him, nodding his little head.

Sigh, she kind of missed Silver.

She wondered how he was doing recently.

Mu Ying lay listlessly, watching a few little wolves rolling crazily in the Asparagus Grass, becoming covered in the luminescent buds of Asparagus Flower, and excitedly howling.

Seeing how happy they were, Mu Ying also got in the mood and joined the rolling party, and the figurine Shi Yin also turned into his Wolf Form to roll with her.

Halfway through rolling, she suddenly caught sight of a figure out of the corner of her eye, startling her so much that she didn’t stop in time and ended up rolling over the figurine Shi Yin.

The figurine Shi Yin struggled to crawl out from under her, his head poking out, and then he just lay there motionless.

Mu Ying was still staring at that familiar figure, her fur about to stand on end.

Fair skin, thick black hair, wearing a black vintage slim-fit long dress; such attire was not uncommon in Qingshan Town nowadays, as many female NPCs within the territory liked to wear similar dresses.

When not in battle, Mu Ying’s Thousand Faces Clothes would also choose a similar style.

The only thing special about this woman was that the patterns and lace on her dress were a little too intricate.

Then there was her eyes.

Although there were points of luminescence like stars in the territory, overall, it was quite dark.

Others might not see clearly, but Mu Ying had Dark Vision, and she clearly saw that the woman’s eyes were blood red.

Wasn’t she the Vampire Countess from the Blood Crow Nest?

Looking behind her, there was also a blond man in black knight attire, who seemed to be another member of that vampire group.

In contrast to the female vampire in the leading position, it was the male vampire behind her that attracted more attention from the territory’s players.

Because his hair color made it obvious he wasn’t from Xia Country.

Although Mu Ying had listed hair dyeing magic potions in the Territory Specialty Store, they were not cheap.

Other than Penny, the rich and beauty-loving owner of the textile store in the territory, no one else had bought them.

In the territory, those without black hair were either NPCs or Mu Ying, the elf with purified bloodlines.

So the players were all speculating whether this person was a new NPC.

Mu Ying was glad that her current Wolf Form meant they could not see her true face, but she also felt a bit of regret for not being able to use Biological Recognition to see their levels.

There were no abnormalities in the Territory Shield, so they must have paid to enter.

She racked her brains, but couldn’t guess what their purpose was for coming to the territory.

However, once they’d entered the territory, they had to follow the territory’s rules, and these rules were not merely for show.

From the moment they entered the territory, it was as if they had agreed to abide by the rules she’d set.

If there was any behavior that violated those rules, they would be immediately expelled from the territory, so Mu Ying wasn’t worried about them causing trouble.

But what exactly was their objective?
