I Live on the Land in Global Games

Chapter 149 - 149 148 Camp Planting Task149: Chapter 148: Camp Planting Task 149: Chapter 148: Camp Planting Task The newly opened area only had the Quarry Camp directly available.

The Breeding Camp expanded outside of the Chaotic Stone Forest, and this area was temporarily isolated by her, still waiting for preparations to be done before it could be put to use.

As for the Plantation, about one-third of the new area was integrated into her own plantation, while the other parts were made available to the locals of the territory for rent and cultivation.

After finishing these tasks, Mu Ying teleported to the entrance of the territory.

The direction of the territory’s expansion was entirely outward into the forest, with a section of the previous stone path included within the expanded territory.

Now, the territory encompassed the valley and the Moon Lake Reservoir, as well as the small hill next to the reservoir.

The new gate was located at the intersection of the stone path and the territory’s main entrance.

Mu Ying walked in from the entrance, where Tree Houses stood scattered in an orderly fashion, and the twisting, winding aerial pathways connected the Tree Houses like a spider web.

Most of the Tree Houses still followed Mu Ying’s original fresh fairy-tale style design, and coupled with the unique aerial pathways, they looked even more spectacular on a grand scale.

“I finally understand why there are so many people on the forum raving about how beautiful Qingshan Village is, I’m feeling it now, just standing here makes me happy, it’s especially relaxing!”

“It’s Qingshan Town now!

The second territory in the world to be upgraded to Town Level, that’s so awesome!

I must go to the forum and boast, give a ‘wake-up call’ to those haters from Southern Australia!”

“I’m joining you, I just went to have a look, and the entrance fee hasn’t been raised at all, it’s definitely a territory with conscience, what can Noa have to compete with this?”

“I somehow feel like the Lord and the territory’s style are a perfect match!

Her appearance and temperament seem as if she were meant to live in a place like this.”

Some people saw Mu Ying leisurely walking around the territory and remarked with such sentiments.

Mu Ying, of course, heard the discussions among the locals of the territory.

Since there were no negative comments, she relaxed and turned her attention back to the territory.

She hadn’t inspected the trees of this newly enclosed land very much, and the ground weeds, shrubs, and fallen leaves also needed to be cleared out and replaced with Asparagus.

After autumn, the Asparagus flowers turned into clusters of small berries, which were everywhere, too many to eat, and picking a basketful could be exchanged for a copper coin at the copper coin pawnshop.

However, having found that there were too many berries to consume at once, Mu Ying posted simple recipes for making dried fruit and jam on the bulletin board at the Witch School’s library to teach the residents how to store the excess berries.

Dried fruit and jam made this way could be sold for more money.

During this period, to protect these berries that could be sold for money, everyone became accustomed to using the aerial pathways.

As the Asparagus in the territory was picked by players, Mu Ying had only one requirement: the Asparagus Seeds must be scattered after eating the berries, to ensure there would be more Asparagus in the future.

The newly incorporated piece of land used to border the territory, and many people had scattered seeds over there.

However, because the original weeds and shrubbery had not been cleared, the Asparagus did not thrive as well, nor was it as dense as within the territory.

This time, Mu Ying cleared out all the unnecessary plants, leaving only Asparagus and trees.

She also used the Eye of Nature to thoroughly check and adjust the natural power on them, and used the remaining power of the Recovery Spring on them too.

By next spring, this place would be covered with Asparagus ready for sale.

...

Now, the harvest from conditioning ordinary plants yields much less Experience from Slaughter than fighting Magic Beasts which easily grants ten to twenty points.

It only has the two advantages of being slow and having a stable source.

Moreover, Mu Ying could feel that the routine conditioning of ordinary plants was no longer sufficient for her, as the frequency at which she gained Professional Experience was gradually decreasing, nowhere near as efficient as planting plants and conditioning Mutant Plants.

Fortunately, she now had the Eye of Nature, which made her perception far more sensitive than before; a mere glance was all it took to know which trees needed adjustment.

Then Mu Ying saw a figure standing in front of a tree, eyes closed as if lost in thought.

It was Zheng Jing, another Druid in the territory besides her.

Mu Ying let out a knowing smile; it seemed she didn’t need to worry too much about the trees in the territory.

Zheng Jing’s natural sense, although less efficient and coarser in perception, was enough to handle these trees without any major problems.

She waited nearby for a while, until Zheng Jing came out of her state of Perception, then approached.

“Are you interested in doing a task?” Mu Ying asked her.

Zheng Jing paused for a second then immediately replied, “Yes, yes, yes!”

“Good, the territory has expanded, and we don’t have enough Asparagus planted densely yet.

We need to plant more properly.

Besides, we could add a few more small vegetable patches, which, along with the ones we had before, can be replanted with some autumn and winter vegetables, like sour-flavored cabbage and spicy radishes and such.

It’s just that there might not be as many Contribution Points as the ones from going out this time,” Mu Ying explained.

Although she could gain a bit of Professional Experience from doing the task bit by bit herself, it was too time-consuming; there was a large stretch of land in her Plantation waiting to be planted!

It was better to delegate the task, cultivate the Local People, and take the opportunity to integrate the new and old residents.

“I’ll do it even without Contribution Points!” Zheng Jing was not foolish; Experience could enhance strength and was far more valuable than Contribution Points, “But aren’t you a Druid too?

Why don’t you do it yourself, just like last time?”

“Doing this now doesn’t have as great an effect for me as it did before,” Mu Ying explained, “If you’ve decided, I’ll draft the announcement tonight, and you can start tomorrow.

You don’t need to do the planting yourself, just like before; let others handle it, and you just need to use Druid Tricks to promote seed germination and then take care of the plants every day.

For you, it will be a long-term task.”

“Alright!

I’ll do my best!” Zheng Jing clenched her fist.

Mu Ying nodded, and opened the territory interface to issue a territory task.

[Territory Task: Camp Planting]

[Task Description: Cooperate with the Druid to develop new small vegetable patches, plant winter vegetables, and plant Asparagus on the empty land and both sides of the sky paths in the territory.]

[Task Reward: Participating planters receive 1 Contribution Point per day, open to all, lasting seven days; the Druid receives 5 Contribution Points per day, lasting one month.]

[Task Requirement: Participating planters must complete at least ten effective planting actions each day, including but not limited to tending to vegetable patches, sowing seeds, watering, etc.]

[Task Duration: Starting tomorrow]

“There, the task is posted.

You can come to my house tomorrow morning to get the seeds you need for the task,” Mu Ying patted her shoulder, “Good luck, I’ll be checking up on you!”

With nothing weighing her down, Mu Ying’s steps felt lighter, “This is the right way to delegate the affairs of the territory to the Local People!”

As soon as the task was issued, every Local Person’s Identity Card would receive a notification, but the specific details of the task would still need to be seen on the notice board.
