I Live on the Land in Global Games

Chapter 144 - 144 143 Taming the Jumping Rabbit144: Chapter 143: Taming the Jumping Rabbit 144: Chapter 143: Taming the Jumping Rabbit Seeing the little rabbit curled up into a ball, there were as many as eight of them, Mu Ying couldn’t embrace them all at once, and she was afraid of hurting them.

After some thought, she found a bamboo basket on the cow cart, and then pulled out several handfuls of dry grass from Old Yellow Bull’s reserves, padding the bottom of the basket until it was nice and soft.

Old Yellow Bull: ..., my status is threatened!

Gungun: Hmph!

A fickle-hearted radish!

Mu Ying’s cautious demeanor slightly reassured the two adult rabbits, and they didn’t stop her from touching the little ones.

With a Water Ball in her hands, she reached towards the burrow, patiently conveying her goodwill through animal conversation.

Gradually, the little rabbits let down their guard, daring to lick the Water Ball.

Once the first one started eating more eagerly, the others also gathered around.

Instinctively feeling that the water was beneficial for them and tasted quite good, they drew closer.

After they had licked a few sips, Mu Ying slowly began to withdraw her hand.

And so, one by one, the little rabbits were lured out.

Rabbit Mom kicked Rabbit Dad: Look, they’re all as gluttonous as you!

Rabbit Dad: But it really is delicious!

Rabbit Mom gave him another gentle kick.

It was then that Mu Ying used her other hand to gently move the little rabbits one by one into the bamboo basket.

Once they were all huddled up in the basket and the Water Ball had been licked dry, Mu Ying finally got to pet them properly.

Hehe, so soft and fluffy, even softer than Gungun╰(* ́)`*)╯!

Little rabbits: ???

Where’s the water?

Mu Ying reluctantly moved the little rabbits onto the cow cart before turning to look at the large rabbits squatting by the cart.

Their fur was no less splendid.

“I am going to treat your injuries now.

I’ll need to touch you, so don’t be afraid,” Mu Ying said, her voice much gentler at the sight of their pristine white fluffy fur.

She started with Rabbit Mom, whose injuries were less severe.

As Mu Ying’s hand touched her, the soft and fluffy sensation made her zone out for a second.

Soon, a vibrant energy began to flow from the palm of her hand.

Rabbit Mom gave a comfortable squeak.

Mu Ying couldn’t help but stroke her a few more times.

Rabbit Dad’s situation was much more miserable; he had been ejected several times and had suffered quite a fall, even breaking one of his legs, which was also dirty and scruffy.

Everything else aside, she didn’t know how to set the broken leg, and she couldn’t just heal it as it was.

However, this wasn’t an issue.

Mu Ying called over Zheng Jing, who knew how to set bones.

“Mu Ying, I’ve never set the bones of a rabbit before; I’ll have to examine it first,” Zheng Jing was somewhat uncertain.

“Let her feel your other hind leg; she needs to set it straight so I can heal you.

It might hurt a bit, so bear with it,” Mu Ying advised Rabbit Dad.

Rabbit Dad nodded, his face a picture of resolution, and showed both hind legs.

Looking at his wife, he knew this person truly wanted to help.

If they could really cure him, he could continue to protect his wife and children.

Rabbit Dad’s broken leg was severely bent, and it looked painful.

Zheng Jing carefully felt the other, intact leg, and after a while, she nodded to Mu Ying.

She hadn’t learned animal conversation yet, so Mu Ying had to convey the messages.

Mu Ying reached into the luggage on the cow cart, which was in reality retrieving a large corn cob from the Storage Pouch, and placed it into Rabbit Dad’s mouth, “Bite down on this, don’t bite anyone.”

Rabbit Dad: It looks so tasty!

“Could you help by holding down his leg so he doesn’t move?”, Mu Ying asked Rabbit Mom.

No one else present, human or beast, could keep an adult Jumping Rabbit still.

Once everything was ready, Zheng Jing applied force and adjusted the leg.

“Squeak—”

Rabbit Dad let out a cry of pain as Rabbit Mom pressed down firmly on his legs.

“Once more,” Zheng Jing decisively took action again.

“Crack~”

“All done!” Zheng Jing wiped the sweat from his forehead.

“Impressive!”

Mu Ying immediately took over, casting the Healing Truth.

After a warm glow, Rabbit Dad moved his mouth.

He had just bitten through a big corn cob, and the sweet juice flowed into his mouth.

What was this?

It tasted even better than the grass from earlier.

“Okay,” Mu Ying stood up.

Rabbit Mom kicked Rabbit Dad, who still hadn’t come to his senses but whose mouth was moving quite rapidly.

“Squeak!” Rabbit Dad jumped up in pain.

“Eh?

My leg’s healed?”

He hopped a few more times, each time reaching more than three meters off the ground.

“Truly worthy of being a Jumping Rabbit!” Mu Ying exclaimed.

“Alright, you’re both healed now.

Let’s continue our journey!”

The others gathered around again, the python’s materials had long since been harvested.

Rabbit Dad and Rabbit Mom stayed close to the ox cart where their little ones were placed, watching these people loading snake skin, snake bones, snake teeth, and such onto the cart.

Every person who came by always stared at them.

Jumping Rabbit couple: These two-legged beasts are far too cruel, shivering uncontrollably (@[]@!!)

Heedless bunny children: This grass isn’t bad either, crunch, crunch, crunch...

Two-legged beasts: So so so cute, really want to pet!

Gungun hugged himself with sympathy.

The group moved forward at a leisurely pace, Mu Ying looking at the eight fluffy figures, feeling infinitely happy.

This outing was worth it!

People kept trying to get close to the ox cart, hoping to get closer to the fluffy ones, occasionally brushing past and stroking the rabbit fur, acting like a bunch of infatuated fools.

The two adult rabbits were particularly uncomfortable, but Mu Ying pretended not to notice.

The two-legged beasts didn’t have any bad intentions; they were just tempted by the fluffiness.

After all, who doesn’t love fluffiness?

Even a burly man like Niu Shun couldn’t resist the onslaught of fluffiness.

This was different from the Jumping Rabbits they encountered while hunting, which would either run away at the sight of them or unleash powerful, merciless kicks.

Although these two were visibly afraid, they were still well-behaved.

“Mu Ying, are you planning to keep them?” Lu You came over to gather information.

Mu Ying looked at him approvingly.

Right on the money, he always knew just when to fish for news.

Lu You: What does his smile mean?

“Keep them, yes.

Look at their size, they have good strength, and they can jump so far.

They’re also fast runners.

It hasn’t been long since they arrived and they already have little ones.

They can multiply and are even fairly tame.

Most importantly, they’re soft to the touch and good-looking.

Wouldn’t they make great mounts?” Mu Ying gazed warmly at the Jumping Rabbits.

They were the future treasures of their territory!

Lu You: “...”

He fell silent for a moment before giving Mu Ying a thumbs-up, “Brilliant!”

The others looked at the Jumping Rabbits with a touch more sympathy, thinking that they had conquered the Lord with their cuteness, kept as pets.

They hadn’t expected Mu Ying’s plans to be so thorough, accounting not just for their looks but even their agility.

They were in awe!

But riding on rabbits?

The thought was rather thrilling!

The only concern was whether their behinds could handle it.

“What about the Fire-breathing Chicken’s eggs?

Are you planning to hatch them too?” Lu You’s thoughts diverged.

Mu Ying was taken aback, right, if they were keeping rabbits, then they should keep chickens too.

What’s a little fire-breathing?

She rummaged through her luggage and pulled out a bamboo basket, then plucked a few handfuls of grass from Old Yellow Bull’s feed.

She carefully picked out a few Fire-breathing Chicken eggs and laid them at the bottom of the basket.
