I Live on the Land in Global Games

Chapter 119 - 119 118 Level 5 Druid119: Chapter 118 Level 5 Druid 119: Chapter 118 Level 5 Druid Players from the Spirit Dragon Gorge Camp spent a night gathering information about the vicinity of Qingshan Village and learned that the area around the territory was very safe.

Apart from those who wanted to try their luck at the Quarry Camp, the others had already planned before going to sleep last night to repeat their old trick, setting up tents outside the territory’s gate to save on the entrance fee.

Even when warned that the expansion of the territory might push their tents out, they didn’t care, as the charm of tent living is its mobility.

As a result, after one night, holding discounted vegetables in their left hands and mint candies in their right, they declared they were rooted in Qingshan Village from then on, refusing to leave even if chased away.

If they could grab discounted vegetables every day, what’s a little entrance fee to them?

Where in Spirit Dragon Gorge could they regularly get such a variety of food?

The morning bustle at the Territory Specialty Store was none of Mu Ying’s concern.

With such a big territory, she preferred the flowers and plants as well as practicing her own abilities rather than managing the territory like other people.

Thus, she left the management of the Quarry Camp, Breeding Camp, and the Territory Specialty Store to others.

She just needed to oversee the general direction, which didn’t take up much of her time.

Her Level 4 Experience Value was full, and it was time for the happy occasion of leveling up.

Compared to even-level upgrades, everyone looked forward to the odd-level upgrades which unlocked higher-tier Spells even more.

Thinking back to the changes in the surrounding vegetation the last time she leveled up, Mu Ying decided to level up at the spot where she planted the Gantiya Tree Root.

To be precise, it was no longer related to the Gantiya Demon Tree, as all the dark forces on it had completely disappeared, leaving only a faint natural power.

Having been buried in soil by Mu Ying for over a month without sprouting, it had been tainted with her magic power through the daily magic infection and Plant Magic.

Mu Ying could feel that the Tree Root could sprout after the defect of too weak natural forces was remedied.

She hoped that the natural blessing during upgrade could help the Tree Root.

Lying on the grass next to the Tree Root, she closed her eyes, communicated with the natural power, and conveyed her wish and prayers for upgrading to nature.

Natural power swirled around her like a spring, enveloping her, and after a while, as if nature had just noticed Mu Ying’s concern for the Tree Root, it grudgingly allocated a wisp and shoved it hastily towards the Tree Root.

[After the natural baptism, you have become a Level 5 Druid]

[Based on your Druid level, you have acquired the Profession Skill: Natural Recovery]

[Based on your Druid level, your Profession Skill, Wild Transformation, has unlocked new forms]

[Based on your Druid level, your Life Value has risen to 400]

[Based on your Druid level, your Mana Value has risen to 130]

[Based on your Druid level, the Level 3 Druid Spell list has been unlocked]

After the ripple of leveling up passed, Mu Ying felt exceptionally refreshed; she had grown stronger once again.

Feeling the changes in her body, she opened the Player Manual, and sure enough, she saw a long list of notifications, each recording what she had gained from the upgrade.

Upon reaching Level 5, she only gained one new Profession Skill, Natural Recovery, while Wild Transformation was an enhancement based on the original.

[Natural Recovery: Your connection with nature grows even closer, and in places with strong natural power, your Mana Value recovery rate will increase]

[Wild Transformation: Through observation and imitation, you can transform into small or medium-sized animals.

After transforming, you will possess the attribute panel of the corresponding animal, and your Life Value will be independent of your human form.

Once per day, excluding animals with the ability to fly.]

Natural Recovery is a passive skill and one that Mu Ying has always desired, as it relates to the recovery of Mana Value.

Without sufficient Mana Value, she always felt less confident in enduring battles.

Although Natural Recovery only works in areas with a strong presence of natural power, the forest, where Mu Ying spends most of her time, is replete with natural power.

Furthermore, the changes brought about by Wild Transformation were delightful.

Although the skill description only omitted the words “aquatic animals” in the last sentence, it meant that aside from small and medium-sized animals, she could now also choose aquatic animal forms and move freely in water.

Although learning the forms of other animals would require a great deal of time and effort compared to the familiar Wolf Transformation she had grown up with, the potential effect was very enticing.

Perhaps after leveling up a few more times, she could unlock flying animals too?

By then, she might be able to take to the skies on her own.

Her Life Value and Mana Value had the usual marginal increase, but what was most anticipated were the third-circle Druid Spells.

Mu Ying had already mastered most of the second-circle spells, and now she could proceed to the next.

She flipped through the Magic List: Summoning Lightning Skill, Snow Rainstorm, Wind Wall Skill, Fire Extinguishing Skill, Fake Death Technique, Natural Shield, Summoning Animals, Remove Disease, Magic Dispel, Melt into Stone, Plant Growth, Plant Withering, Plant Communication, Underwater Breathing, Water Walking, High-level Magic Claw.

The third-circle spells covered a clearly wider range, offering offensive, defensive, healing, and support capabilities, further addressing her weaknesses.

The comprehensiveness of the Druid was beginning to emerge.

Attack magic remained the Druid’s weak point, with only Summoning Lightning Skill and Snow Rainstorm as the two options.

The former was a single-target attack spell while the latter was an area-of-effect spell, but their lethality exceeded that of first and second-circle spells by more than a notch.

The more Mu Ying read, the more she liked them, placing these two spells at the top of her learning list.

Besides, there were also two defense spells.

Wind Wall Skill had a larger defensive area, while Natural Shield was more refined.

Mu Ying, who always felt that Tree Skin Skill wasn’t quite safe, finally had more options to choose from.

Each of the subsequent spells had its unique features, making Mu Ying wish she could learn them all at once.

However, third-circle spells were the most challenging to learn, and she had to choose and rechoose, prioritizing those that could be put to use the quickest.

Summoning Animals and Underwater Breathing were also ranked at the top of her list.

The former could summon the essence of animals to assist her, proving useful in combat.

The latter was purely due to the learning needs of the Wild Transformation Skill.

To master the form of an aquatic animal, she needed to dive underwater for observation and understanding.

Mu Ying, who had been a landlubber in both her lives, thought it easier to learn the spell of Underwater Breathing than swimming.

After all, even with swimming skills, one couldn’t stay submerged for a prolonged period.

The other spells were either temporarily unnecessary, such as Remove Disease, or had alternatives, such as Plant Growth, which had similar effects to other plant magic.

Mu Ying created a learning sequence for these spells, ranking Summoning Lightning Skill first.

As a peace-loving, nature-admiring Druid, Mu Ying still harbored some aggressive tendencies, and she was keen to experience the sensation of combat like a mage intensifying the ferocity of spells.

According to rumors on the forums, the Lord of Feihong Village, Zhou Hong, was exceptional at wielding Electric Claw in one hand and Chain Magic Missiles in the other, leaving his opponents in awe of his devastating power.

Both these spells were merely second-circle, so Mu Ying’s third-circle Summoning Lightning Skill surely wouldn’t be weaker than a mage’s second-circle spells, right?
