Pioneer Lord: Starting From Daily Intelligence

Chapter 979: Chapter 134: The Hesse Territory’s Mighty War Car Fort Shines for the First Time (Part 4)

And the dwarves at the foot of the mountain had long witnessed the Black Lynx Knight Order’s siege of their compatriots on the cliff, their eyes wide with fury, anger finding no outlet. As the members of the Black Lynx Knight Order charged, they became the ideal target for the dwarves to vent their rage.

They unleashed their wild anger almost without reservation. Before the Black Lynx Knights could reach halfway in their charge, the dwarves had unleashed seven rounds of artillery!

The sky erupted with flames, turning the front lines into a sea of fire. The sand in the valley was scorched hot and red, with flames still raging everywhere and limbs blown apart left and right. Dozens of Black Lynx Knight Order members fell on the path of their charge, most of them charred, their lifeless bodies twitching mindlessly on the battlefield. The remaining Black Lynx Knight Order members found their formation shattered and lost the drive to continue their assault, wandering in panic, indecisive and uncertain.

This scene not only terrified the members of the Black Lynx Knight Order but also fully shocked Su Li, Marshal Oerstein, and Aeliria among others who were watching.

Aeliria’s cool face almost couldn’t maintain its composure, and she couldn’t help but repeatedly glance at the heroic silhouette of Su Li. Fortunately, when this man fought her, he wasn’t this brutal, indicating that he held back. She could reward him this evening.

But Su Li, standing in front of Aeliria, was not so much heroic and composed. Instead, he was taken aback, stood straight, and froze on the spot.

He always knew his artillery unit was supposed to be strong, thanks to its costly setup, but he didn’t have a clear concept of its true strength. During the clearing of the spider nests, he relied on manpower and knights battling with swords to win. That environment wasn’t suitable for artillery, so he had never seen the power of the Black Forest Cannon unit.

After this battle, the Black Forest Cannon unit and the War Car Fort thoroughly proved themselves! They blasted through at least two knight battle groups with just a few rounds of attack (a knight battle group’s size is usually 60, with monster cavalry numbering 24).

If they were allowed to continue their relentless bombardment, the enemy might never get a chance to approach their lines!

Up front, Commander Dietrich’s eyes widened directly, as the sealed chamber structure debuted and shone brilliantly on the battlefield. He, even as a Divine Chosen Knight, was deeply shaken.

Nevertheless, he reacted quickly, hurriedly shouting, ”Stop! Stop! Stop! Cease fire! You vented your fury alright, but that all costs money. There aren’t many of these types of artillery shells. If the Lord saw you use them like this, wouldn’t he kill me?”

He feared that the enemy army would collapse instantly from a single barrage, disrupting Marshal’s plans.

The dwarves were delighted, thoroughly enjoying this wave of outpouring.

But even more thrilled were the dwarves attacking the camp; their side’s formidable firepower shocked the enemy and severely subdued their morale. The knights seized the moment of enemy morale wavering to launch a sudden assault on the upper camp! This battle was to clearly demonstrate to the enemy what a fantastic force is. Who says knights must ride horses? Air cavalry is also cavalry!

While the enemy was captivated by the dwarves’ frontal attention-grabbing and the artillery captured their sight, and the sound shook their ears, the powerful Griffin Knights led the Flying Horse Knights and Swan Knights to directly assault the back of the Right Bank Camp.

Military strategy dictates, ”Combined through the ordinary, victory through the extraordinary!”

Marshal Orstein, the Lion King, was not only proficient at overwhelming direct attacks on battlefields but also extremely adept at employing surprise forces.

As the Right Bank Camp was set ablaze, it instantly pushed the battlefield situation to the brink!
