Pioneer Lord: Starting From Daily Intelligence

Chapter 956: Chapter 128: Bone Merchant and Valley of Memory (Part 2)

So she didn’t directly discuss the real deal but instead chatted about some interesting news, saying, ”While purchasing items in your territory, I heard something amusing, about the Sky Titans. It’s said there’s a living Sky Titan near your territory. Are you interested in such powerful creatures?”

”Oh? A Sky Titan?” Su Li said with a smile, ”It’s hard for anyone not to be interested, right?”

It’s like asking someone on Earth if they’re interested in dinosaurs. I know there’s a dinosaur next to your house, do you want to see it?

Especially with Su Li’s current strength, hunting giant beasts is quite easy. Even if there were really a Sky Titan hundreds of meters tall, he might not fail to take it down.

Of course, it also depends on whether there’s any benefit in hunting such a colossal creature.

”But I thought all the Sky Titans were exterminated by the Ogres during the Battle of Celestial Mountain?”

This was the first racial genocide war in this world. Su Li remembered his ministers telling him about this historical culture, so he was quite impressed.

Nayadalin laughed and said, ”Sky Titans were only defeated and slaughtered by Ogres, not because the race couldn’t adapt to climate changes. In fact, the climate change in this era compared to the last wasn’t that significant. At least the Elves and Dwarves have managed to carry on, let alone the Sky Titans who are much stronger in individual combat and have better adaptability.”

”I know there’s a simple map on the second basement level of the castle in the Medici Manor in your territory. This map is a work by the renowned Wise One, Arulf Barnes. I believe it will answer your curiosity.”

”Medici Manor?” Su Li raised an eyebrow, having no impression of this manor.

Lunadeshan, seeing this, took the initiative to introduce, ”Medici Manor is a manor built by your Knight, Jeff Hoffman, within the Blood Pine Forest. Its castle is a mountain fortress atop Blood Pine Mountain. The family is known for their participation in the siege against the Divine Chosen Monster, Chaos Giant Beast, and Chimera. The family knights are brave and adept at archery. Almost all family members also serve as Forest Patrol Officers in the Blood Pine Forest. Their manor hosts a meadery and a carpenter’s workshop, renowned for producing forest mead, exquisite wooden furniture, and Blood Pine Wood.”

”Oh, Jeff Hoffman, I do remember this knight. He’s the Elite Knight who fought alongside the Beast Slayer, Jerald!” This shows that an Elite Knight, as long as they fight with Su Li long enough, can have substantial gains. He’s not old yet, but he’s already purchased land within the Hesse Territory and established a small manor by the mountain lake.

This Medici Manor surely can’t compare to Su Li’s Bauhinia Flower Manor and Bauhinia Palace, but for an Elite Knight, it’s an excellent home.

How many people can own a kingdom of their own, in a picturesque location, while still in their prime?

That’s a Knight Manor after all, with a population of at least 30-40 and possibly even up to 100 people. In this manor, he is the supreme master, controlling the fate of everyone.

Moreover, he has his own Armed Attendants. The family consists of several knights and about 20 Armed Attendants, enough to form a sizeable fighting force.

At least, if he wants to attack a Roaring Beast herd of over 50 or a goblin camp, or a kobold nest, it’s absolutely no problem.

His family alone can open up the land locally, so he has many witchcraft items, mysterious treasures, and spoils.

Su Li then looked at Nayadalin and said, ”Your intelligence is impressive. You even know about the blueprint hidden in the treasure chest on the second basement level of the Medici Manor.”

Nayadalin candidly replied, ”That’s because I’m very interested in the ancient days of yore. This map records the location of the last living Sky Titan.”

”Oh?” Su Li finally put down the fishing rod, turned, and leaned back on the wooden chair, formally staring at Nayadalin and said, ”You’ve successfully piqued my interest. You can go into detail about this simple map now.”

Nayadalin, seeing that they had finally captured Su Li’s attention, immediately began the detailed introduction: ”A long time ago, a Wise One traveling from Terrabheim boarded the prototype of a Dwarf Flying Device to explore wonders around the world. Fifty years went by, and they had yet to return. Most people believed they were lost—provided they even remembered that a Wise One had left. But eventually, the Wise One returned, dragging a frail and aged body, speaking in a language that sounded both primitive and somewhat refined.”

”Upon returning, she carried a map with a destination so far from Terrabheim that most people thought she’d just spent the past decades in the Border Prince’s Territory, spending her expedition funds in taverns. Actually, this map purportedly showed the location of the last living Sky Titan, whose mountain home nearly flew off the world fleeing the influence of the Ogres and the Great Stomach God. Most people thought she was mad, but when she died several months after midsummer, it rained saltwater in Terrabheim for three days and nights.”

”The proud nobles of the Capital weren’t interested in any of this, but adventurers full of adventure spirit stole the map and followed its route to the Black Pine Forest, where the map then vanished from the world’s eyes. Some say he perished under the twisted canopies of the Black Forest, others say the map was torn apart by monsters, disappearing into the Brionne River. Over the long years, all of this nearly faded into complete oblivion. However, just recently, my spies heard of its new whereabouts; it appeared in your knight’s secret chamber.”
