Pioneer Lord: Starting From Daily Intelligence

Chapter 952: Chapter 127: Preparations for Contact with the Wood Elves (Part 2)

Their art emphasizes luxury, complexity, and intricacy. The nobles wear long robes of silk and silver embroidery, primarily in blue, white, and gold, paired with rune embroidery and gemstone inlays, symbolizing status and magical talent. Warriors’ armor is lightweight yet extremely protective, with runes or family emblems etched on the surface, and helmets often adorned with wings or dragon horns.

In the previous era, the civilizations and arts of these two races reached their peak, glorious and dazzling, captivating and adored by the entire world.

The then-leader of the High Elves, Phoenix King Calado, battled chaos alone on the island where the Blood Hand Cain’s magic sword was, confronting the four great demons. On that desolate land, the elven army was nearly annihilated, dragon corpses scattered everywhere, while Phoenix King Calado single-handedly challenged the four great high demons, buying the mage time to complete the final ritual.

After that, as the force that repelled chaos, the High Elves entered the most glorious golden age in history, avidly exploring worlds they had never ventured to before, and establishing colonies worldwide. At this moment, Melkith, the son of the first Phoenix Lord, gradually grew into a great warrior and adventurer. He was appointed as the elven goodwill ambassador to the Dwarves.

Both sides were supposed to live in harmony, with the High Elves understanding the Dwarves’ strength and willing to engage in friendly interactions.

But later, a rebellion emerged among the High Elves, known as the infamous Dark Elves. It happened that the then-Phoenix King Calado II was a foolish, arrogant, and untalented leader, who inherited the glorious name without its wisdom and vision.

When the Dark Elves deceitfully disguised themselves as High Elves to attack the dwarf caravan, the Dwarven High King Gaucric, not realizing that the elves had split into two factions, sent an envoy demanding an apology from the elves, punishment for the offending elves, and double compensation for the material losses. The ignorant second king did not intend to clarify anything, seeing this as the Dwarf King’s provocation, and ordered the envoy’s beard to be cut off, sending the envoy affected by the disaster back to the Dwarf Kingdom. To the Dwarves, losing a beard is the greatest humiliation, igniting a war between the two major powers that lasted years, called the Beard War by the Elves and the Revenge War by the Dwarves.

This war severely drained both sides’ primordial qi, leading to the death of the Phoenix Lord, while the Dwarven King Gaucric seized the elven crown as war booty. This was followed by the long-lasting Battle of the Longbeards, which lasted thousands of years.

This war saw both sides decline from peak glory, with Dwarves losing the mountains, surrounded by the sea of green skins, beastmen, and rat people, with communication only possible by helicopters and airships.

The Elves withdrew from the Old World entirely, abandoning almost all colonies, disappearing from humanity’s view.

Thinking of the Elves, Su Li recalled an intelligence piece ”Contact with the Wood Elves.” Bone Merchant Frost Forest is a noble blood descendant of a small Wood Elf community left in the Black Pine Forest after the High Elves withdrew. This bloodline has guarded a batch of ancient artifacts with mysterious purposes for thousands of years. After a conspiracy-filled fire, these relics completely disappeared.

Frost Forest worked tirelessly, establishing a black-market empire centered around her, offering bounties for any stolen artifacts occasionally appearing worldwide.

Recently, this merchant appeared in Hesse Territory, attempting to contact nobles and knights of Hesse Territory for assistance.

Su Li felt it necessary to meet this notorious crime leader and black market merchant to understand what assistance she could provide.

So, Su Li replied to Sister Caterina, ”There’s no need to rush with the embroiderer’s matter; it might be resolved soon.”

After speaking, Su Li looked at Vandar and asked, ”How many Elves, Half-Elves, and Druids do we currently have in our territory? I remember the Pasture Master’s greatest wish was to establish an Elf community or town?”

”Yes, Lord,” Vandar smiled, ”I am delighted you remember each of our wishes. Edmond, the Chief Steward, wishes to cultivate an Ancient Tree of Life, then establish an Elf town, giving the wandering Druids and Elves in the Border Prince’s Territory a home. Although our territory’s Elves and Half-Elves are few, we actually have a dozen or so. For instance, Madam Lunadeshan and Madam Silvana both have Elven lineage. Adding in the Druids, establishing an Elf community is not impossible.”

Su Li nodded, saying, ”Then it seems necessary to contact Nayadalin Frost Forest. Perhaps through her, we can acquire many tools to boost orchard output, since elves are best at dealing with trees.”

The agricultural scale in the territory has been raised and has entered a steady path, basically not requiring Su Li’s concern anymore.

Today, he and Vandar visited the Holy Land mainly to enhance the yield of various spirit plants, trees, and orchards.

Vandar was also very interested in this matter, not only because it benefits their Dawn Church’s agricultural production but, more importantly, they have a high chance of obtaining some extraordinary tree species from the other party.

As an heir to a long-standing elven power, no one can imagine what she might have in her possession.

So Su Li said, ”If you want to contact her, Lord, I can introduce you. After all, Edmond and I, as Druids, naturally have a close connection with their Elves.”
