Pioneer Lord: Starting From Daily Intelligence

Chapter 970: Chapter 132: Magnificent Flash Spear City - Recruiting Dragon Butchers and Great 6th Ring Wizards (Part 2)

”After taking his oath, Sogard did not inherit the position of Lord (his uncle temporarily stood in), but instead left the mountain fortress alone with the broken shards of the ’Rock Breaker’. He became a dragon butcher, a solitary disaster. His footprints spread across perilous mountain peaks, dark ravines, and forgotten dragon nests.”

”He spent decades honing his skills, studying the weaknesses of the Dragon Race, and tracking their trails. He learned from the oldest Rune Blacksmiths, incorporating his father’s Warhammer fragments into a newly forged gigantic two-handed Warhammer, engraved with Dragon Slaying Runes—he named it [Gorus Slayer], both as a commemoration and an announcement.”

”In subsequent years, Sogard’s hunt list was astonishingly long. It is known that at least five adult, notorious giant dragons fell under his Warhammer:

Frost Wing Vasag: A White Dragon entrenched in the Northern Ice Peak, which had frozen and destroyed several human villages. Sogard tracked it through a blizzard for three days and nights, finally breaking its spine in its nest.”

Master of Poison Swamp Nix: A cunning Green Dragon entrenched in the Foul Swamp, which used poison mist and traps to kill numerous adventurers. Sogard used a special Antitoxic Potion and Rune Armor to withstand the poison mist, trading injury for life, and smashed its skull with his Warhammer.”

Shadow Raider Selas: A Shadow Dragon skilled in nocturnal raids on caravans. Sogard set a trap, using glowing runes as bait, and delivered a fatal blow during its dive. This was the closest dragon to his revenge target, reportedly having scales similar in color to ’Rock Burner’, but confirmed not to be Gorus.”

There were also two giant dragons not recorded in detail by name, possibly a Blue Dragon and a Black Dragon, whose heads Sogard brought back to the Karachik Fortress, hanging them above the entrance as a clan’s pride and a warning to other giant dragons.”

Good heavens, Su Li knew the Dwarf Giant Dragon Butcher was brave, but isn’t this a bit too valorous!

It’s essential to know that being a Dragon Butcher doesn’t mean one can stably slay giant dragons, but rather they have the qualification to attempt to slay dragons.

In fact, this is a path seeking death, and most butchers die in the process of slaying monsters, seeking liberation. Thus, Gaucric was evaluated as the most unsuccessful butcher in history because he never died.

This Sogard currently appears to be another unsuccessful dragon butcher!

Su Li was shocked and said, ”According to his performance, his strength should be near High Tier Divine Chosen Level, right?”

”Yes.” Rong’en nodded and said, ”Currently, he is a Middle Tier Divine Chosen Level butcher but could breakthrough to High Tier Divine Chosen Level at any time. Everyone unanimously believes he has a chance to become a Legendary Level butcher.”

”Of course, dragon slaying is by no means easy. Sogard’s legend is exchanged for with his whole body of scars. His most notable mark is a huge, charred claw scar on the left side of his face, slashing from his forehead to his chin, left by Frost Wing Vasag. This scar left one of his eyes nearly blind, but he refused to use magic for complete healing, believing it to be a warrior’s medal.”

”His armor, that Dragon Hatred Plate Armor crafted with the utmost effort by the best blacksmiths and Rune Masters of the Stone Hammer Clan, is covered with gouge marks from Dragon’s Tooth, scratch marks from Dragon Claw, and charred black imprints from Dragon Flame, each marking a life-and-death battle. It is said this armor itself has absorbed so much Dragon Blood that it has gained a trace of mysterious power.”

”Despite his remarkable achievements, Sogard never forgot the core of his oath: to find [Rock Burner Gorus], to confirm his father’s destiny, and to complete his revenge. He continues to gather clues about Gorus. Rumors say that the Red Dragon did not die but was severely injured, lurking in some scorching corner of the world, or being utilized by dark forces. Sogard’s journey is far from over.”

”We invited him to join the Arbitration Court, not only because of his unparalleled personal valor and dragon-slaying expertise but also because he represents the values most cherished by dwarves: perseverance, oath keeping, glory above all, and absolute devotion to ancestors and traditions. His mere presence is a powerful symbol able to greatly unite dwarf communities and make Flash Spear City a city yearned by dwarves and dwarf butchers alike.”

”Additionally, having slain numerous giant dragons, he holds tremendous wealth, and his joining would greatly elevate our city’s wealth standards, further enhancing the influence of the Arbitration Court. I think you can understand that the scale of wealth and power in itself is an incomparable influence, entangling many interests, making the Arbitration Court’s intervention capability stronger.”

Of course, Su Li could certainly understand. In every world, wealth represents immense influence, behind which are countless entangled interest chains.

Su Li eagerly asked, ”What reply did Sogard give?”

Rong’en didn’t answer directly but smiled as he led Su Li through the city gate, onto the street, pointing at the broad stone street in front, and the steel-styled buildings, saying, ”This is Steel Road, and also the industrial center of Flash Spear City, this large part of the city includes countless Imperial Engineers, dwarf Master of Forging’s families and Free Guild families. The wide roads allow for transportation of goods and large war machines. It can be said that this is the nurturing center of Divine Chosen Level equipment in the Hesse Territory.”

”Beyond this street is the foundry, the site of the first gear workshop of the Imperial Engineer College, and also the origin of most industry in Flash Spear City. Since the creation of Flash Spear City, the status of the foundry has continually elevated; the real estate here is highly sought after as the home base for businessmen and craftsmen. The upper layers of dwarf Master of Forging also work and live in the foundry, and many merchants and traders have recently moved in.”
