Pioneer Lord: Starting From Daily Intelligence

Chapter 954: Chapter 127: Preparations for Contact with the Wood Elves (Part 4)

”The giant tree is covered with various beast claw marks, virtually serving as Tal Church’s natural prayers. The giant tree witnesses everything, knows everything. Therefore, masks made from the trunk of this giant tree grant its wearers the ’Eye of the Wilderness’. By wearing this mask and consuming raw meat, one can share the vision and intuition of the surrounding beasts.”

Hmm?

The information provided by Lunadeshan was truly enlightening for Su Li.

It turns out that Aelirea no longer has a Subordinate Legion under her tree?

But upon reflection, it’s reasonable; how could a vast legion of Green Dragon Followers be permitted in the midst of so many human strongholds?

These monsters are uncontrollable, and with Green Dragon Aelirea in a prolonged state of sleep, if these monsters act foolishly, it could lead to a stronghold being overwhelmed by a flood of beasts.

And what of the territory then?

Should we refrain from intervening just because they are Aelirea’s followers, allowing innocent inhabitants and villagers to fall victim?

Or should we immediately wage war, engaging in a bloody battle with her minions beneath the Dragon’s Nest while the dragon remains unconscious?

Disregarding the losses, given the dragon’s vengeful nature, this would only deepen the conflict between both sides.

Therefore, the best approach is to eradicate them from the start, eliminating future problems.

For those monsters wishing to escape death, the best course is to seek refuge with the Green Dragon and be dispatched to the mines, as kobolds are inherently miners.

Currently, Green Dragon Aelirea is not devoid of followers, but they are mostly assigned to vital resource points, situated in remote areas, focusing either on mining Fire Spike Crystal or extracting Iron Ore and Mithril ore.

As long as they remain within the mines, conflict is avoided.

Should they escape the mines, they would be hunted like prey. This hunt occurs in the forest ceaselessly, a mere embodiment of survival of the fittest.

The Greenfield Knights, Forest Patrol, and Tal Church’s priests have a significant responsibility in this. They patrol the forest, hunt monsters, and maintain the stronghold’s stability.

”Another of our Tal Church’s strongholds is linked to the extensive purging of monsters within the forest. This Holy Land is Blood Fang Cave, located in the southwest of Black Pine Forest, nearing the territory’s edge at Wolf Fang Peak.”

”Previously occupied by a vast number of kobolds, the cave’s entrance resembles a large wave with a gaping blood-red mouth, its walls adorned with fang-like symbols and emblems. Kobolds believe this to be Tal’s response to the howling of the wolf pack. At its peak, it was the entire western center and Holy Land of the Blood Pine Forest kobolds, gathering over 4,000 kobolds.”

”After the Green Dragon War, Aelirea led a substantial number of kobolds and gnolls away from this place. When we discovered it, it still sheltered thousands of gnolls and kobolds. The Black Steel Redemption Knight Order, with hundreds of elite infantry and cavalry, waged a bloody battle to capture it.”

”The gains were substantial: Hunters’ Hounds, Knights’ War Mastiffs, and even Frost Wolves of the White Wolf Knights, would be blessed by Tal after being sacrificed here, granting enhanced hunting instincts. Their synergy with their masters would be more seamless and their strikes more feral against foes. However, there’s a slight drawback; should they become engrossed in the frenzy of killing, the master might struggle to rein them back. Yet, isn’t that the nature of this world? With the acquisition of significant enhancements, one must invariably accept a certain cost, don’t you agree?”
