My Players Are So Fierce

Chapter 3047 -1015: The Fury · Ode to Victory

The players are setting out to support the war in the Northern Peninsula of Liguria. This should have been the moment for the Airship Brigade to shine, but unfortunately, of Transylvania’s three Armed Airships, only one is left.

The Ironheart Annihilator and the Merchant Dynasty were both severely damaged in the previous machine rebellion. Although the Half-body Man factories were very willing to help the players repair these two mighty aerial warships, once the damage assessment confirmed that rebuilding them wasn’t worth it, the two captains, Doujiangbaidao and Selakfenta, had a discussion and decided to take the opportunity to build two new aerial vehicles at the airship factory in Charldo Harbor.

This time they demanded that from the very start, their ships be designed and designated as standard Armed Airships, instead of being modified later.

Of course, with just the players’ own wealth, there was no way they could pay for the airship orders on their own. So the report from these two guys was sent up to General Maxim and then approved by the Monster General. Under the name of war weapons, a special allocation was granted from the People’s Army Equipment Department to complete the orders for the two airships.

Even though they were having them built by Half-body Men, the two captains had no intention of continuing to use the Half-body Men’s existing airship architecture. They contacted “professionals” in the arsenal and asked them to help redesign the airship structure to better suit the combat style of the Foreign Spirit Heroes.

At normal construction speed, building two airships would take at least two to three months. Therefore, for this expedition, all the players’ vehicles were rented from Charldo Harbor. The only intact combat airship, the Hammer of Morphy, served as the flagship, while the remaining seven airships formed a transport convoy to load the players who would be going out as the vanguard.

They even brought along five Dragon knights to anchor the formation.

Murphy also boarded an airship, but the convoy did not immediately depart for the Temple of the Giant Rock’s stronghold in the northern sea region. They waited on the airship boarding platform for almost half an hour before a transport column made up of thirty carrier walking machines came rumbling up.

The beds of the walking machines were piled with wooden crates filled with weapons, drawing the players to the airship rails to look down.

They were guessing whether this might be some kind of secret ultimate weapon Murphy had wrung out of the Half-body Men specifically for this support operation?

Well, they were weapons, yes, but not the kind of over-the-top things they were imagining.

Old Qin and Five-Pair-of-Wheels, along with the second batch of staff officers, were down below in charge of receiving this shipment of weapons. As a gift from Charldo Harbor to thank the warriors for their support, this batch of weapons didn’t even require payment. The joy of getting them for free had Lord Qin grinning from ear to ear.

Especially when he personally opened one of the wooden crates and picked up this “handy weapon” from inside, his smile grew even more satisfied.

He was holding a gun.

A very classic design—overall clean and imposing, without overly complex receiver structures. Compared to the Blood Vulture Claw Rifle that the Transia People currently use, this thing is a quantum leap in both looks and construction, like evolving from a little boy’s toy water pipe into the raging greatsword a grown man ought to wield.

Most importantly, this thing is safe enough. It won’t end up wiping out a squad of rookies in a fit of angry accidental discharge just because someone drops it once. Its gunstock, made of redwood, is inlaid with a black barrel, and the iconic stamped barrel shroud lends it an extra touch of ferocity—nothing flashy, but brimming with a sense of power.

Old Qin turned it over and over in his hands, eyes full of affection. Then he took a black drum magazine from Five-Pair-of-Wheels and, with a click, locked it into the bottom of the gun, before striking a shouldered aiming pose right where he stood.

Excellent!

It was like rediscovering a familiar feeling.

Even though Lord Qin hadn’t actually used this old relic during his service career in the other world, still—how to put it?

Back in the homeland, this thing was a symbol of victory.

The old soldier held the gun and activated Item Identification. The entries popped up a moment later:

“The Half-body Men’s craftsmanship is fine. This thing is great; it’s the perfect weapon we can manage at this stage. Have the players come down to re-equip in sequence according to the airship order. Get it done as fast as possible!”

Old Qin slung the gun over his shoulder, then took another equally classic M1911 from a different weapons crate and slid it into the holster at his waist. He said to Five-Pair-of-Wheels beside him:

“Collect all the Blood Vulture Claws that are being swapped out and send them back to General Maxim. He’ll take care of disposing of these weapons.”

“Huh? We’re not shipping them back?”

A tall staff officer said quietly:

“The Transylvania militias are still using bolt-action rifles. The Blood Vulture Claw may be crap, but handing them down to the militias would still effectively boost their firepower.”
