My Players Are So Fierce

Chapter 3028 -1008: The First Priority to Becoming a Mechanical Sage Is Learning to Resist Worldly Desires (Part 3)

“Put down whatever you’re holding, outsiders, if you don’t want to be buried here… put it down! Don’t touch those buttons, it’s already activated, damn it! You all look like pig hooves.”

The Great Sage originally wanted to make a mysterious entrance, but before the words were even finished, he saw Loyal Brother clumsily touch the edge of the black iron ball, causing strange yellow dots of light to appear on it.

Anxiously, Marvin activated the thrusters on his body, rushed over, snatched the bomb away, and then his six mechanical arms bewilderingly dismantled the bomb into a pile of fragments and carefully placed the high-purity Burning Gold explosive core back into his mechanical containment cabin.

After he finished all this, and was about to scold these unprofessional guys, he found them staring at him with a very peculiar gaze.

To be precise, they were staring at the various steam prosthetics installed on him.

Loyal Brother was looking at Marvin’s six distinctive mechanical auxiliary hands behind him, while the Medieval Gospel Warrior focused on the mechanical face shield and its remarkably perfect transformed metallic body. The other mechanics were interested in the flame-like smoke emitted when Marvin’s body steam thruster was turned off.

Although this body was designed specifically for the Half-body Man’s build, just from this fully mechanized body alone, one could tell the Mechanical Church really has something going on.

Admittedly not as cool and invincible as Creation Engineering, but the locally-grown and developed scientific system is obviously more suitable for newcomers, and most importantly, it has that fantasy punk flavor!

“Master!”

Loyal Brother said excitedly with glittering eyes:

“Please take us in!

We sincerely want to join the Mechanical Church. In the past, we struggled to find the right path, but now everyone has finally met; this is a heaven-sent opportunity.

We’re very familiar with Transylvania over there. As long as you take us in, you won’t have to worry about the Mechanical Church’s territory and production lines; we have an entire arsenal to serve as your base.”

“Yes, yes, and there’s the R-9 base.”

The Medieval Gospel Warrior chimed in from the side:

“Our guild is about to take control of that base, so if you don’t want to be in Transylvania, you could completely restart your… ah, no, our collective endeavor in the base left by the creator.

By the way, do you sell your mechanical arm?

This thing is so cool—a high-end custom piece, undoubtedly superior to the generic prosthetics on the market. Install one for me.”

“Huh?”

For the first time, the Great Sage saw guys who didn’t fear but got excited after seeing his mechanical enhancements. Seeing the excitement in their eyes, Marvin was a little scared.

Are these guys mentally ill?

He intended to refuse.

After all, although the Mechanical Church advocates pragmatism, they seldom recruit crazy people, so he coughed twice and, adopting a certain tone, said:

“Um, I have observed your dedication to learning, but you’ve also seen the current chaos within the Mechanical Church; we have no recruitment plan… “

“It’s okay; we can intern first! We can make things and adapt to the environment with you. Are you still taking orders? We plan to build some bipedal robots to bolster our warriors’ firepower.

Look, we even brought the blueprints!”

“I said, we don’t have a recruitment plan at the moment!”

Marvin didn’t like the persistent badgering of the players before him, so he straightforwardly refused, saying:

“The Mechanical Church adheres to the creed of ‘mechanical supremacy.’ Although we have strayed from the path, that’s irrelevant to our beliefs. If you cannot abandon your reliance on flesh and devote your entire mind to the pursuit of mechanics and performance, no matter what conditions you propose, I will not accept you.

So, please, gentlemen, return.

Embarking on this mechanical path signifies a rather dreadful fate; you are not suited to become one of us.”

“Ah? Abandon the flesh? That’s simple, you could have said so earlier!”

Loyal Brother laughed heartily, as if he was back on the day he first met Little Sheron.

He extended his left hand and decisively drew his sword. In Marvin’s stunned gaze, he swiftly chopped off his right arm and took out a mechanical limb stored in his Psychic package, installing it with a nostalgic gesture. He skillfully manipulated the mechanical hand to demonstrate his abandonment of flesh.

“I say…”

Marvin didn’t have time to stop them before the other mechanics began to imitate Loyal Brother’s actions, staging a wave of “heretical rites” on the spot.

This scene scared Marvin greatly.

The Great Sage felt the third electrode of his wet core trembling.

What the hell is up with this bunch of maniacs?

Yet such straightforward actions do align with his tastes.

Playing with mechanics should indeed be pursued with this kind of ‘madness-or-bust’ spirit!

Well, since the Mechanical Church has fallen to this state, and they’ve decided to sell themselves to us, there’s no need to stand on ceremony any longer. Why not take this chance to extend a friendly gesture towards Transylvania? As the sole remaining Great Sage, he indeed needs to consider those pitiful souls behind him.

“Machine Soul Rejoices!”

Seeing Marvin Sage nod to agree with bringing the crowd into the church, the Medieval Gospel Warrior, who was already picking a prosthetic for himself, suddenly shouted in excitement.

This odd chant made Marvin glare at him and rebuke:

“What the hell is Machine Soul? Nonsense, remember this: The Mechanical Church exists to seek the truth of mechanics; we do not worship idols…”

“Oh, honorable Great Sage, without a specific faith, how can the church and our belief born of truth be effectively promoted? Please allow me to take a bit of your precious time and remotely connect with our ‘Theological Master’ Crow Brother among the foreigners, and let him describe what we envision the Mechanical Church should be like.

Trust me!

You will certainly be interested.”
