My Players Are So Fierce

Chapter 3021 -1006: Loyal Brother’s Trial · National Mission 2

“This matter is beyond what the players can assist with; it’s all up to your super brains.”

“Alright, I’ll go talk to everyone about this.”

Marquis Ma stubbed out his cigarette butt on the trash can nearby, and said to Loyal Brother:

“We’ll submit a joint action request to the higher-ups once we return to reality. As for the specific actions, we’ll rely on you. This is truly an opportunity not to be missed; to put it more seriously, we cannot be known as the sinners of history!

Do you understand?”

“I understand, I understand.”

Loyal Brother assured repeatedly, watching the big shot leave before rubbing his chin and commenting that while the players make a fuss for fun, the real action is determined by these big shots.

It’s only been less than a day since entering the game, and such a terrifying “hidden side quest” has been triggered.

Honestly, even though Loyal Brother’s task force entered the alternate world with the aim of “giving back to the homeland,” being in this situation still feels like a dream to him.

The true form of the creator’s treasure has already revealed itself; regrettably, acquiring it is far from easy.

“Hey, Lord Qin? Are you busy right now? I have something important to report, yes, a very important matter. It’s likely we might need to meet in reality within these few days.”

—————–

Loyal Brother’s ominous prediction soon became reality.

By the next afternoon, a call from Lord Qin summoned him to another city.

With no sleep the previous night, Loyal Brother and his subordinates took a military vehicle straight to a highly confidential research institute. As soon as they stepped off, they saw Lord Qin seated in a wheelchair chatting with Old Horse, surrounded by Five-Wheel and the old soldier of the Qing dynasty.

Ah, so this is an offline meet-up for the players.

It’s just that the meeting location is a bit odd…

“Come quickly, we’ve been waiting for you.”

Seeing Loyal Brother get off the vehicle, Five-Wheel immediately waved at him.

Then, the group walked inside the research institute, where many were already waiting in a large conference room. As soon as Loyal Brother entered, he spotted familiar faces; Mengha was seated at the back row, signaling him to sit with a group who certainly wouldn’t understand the discussion so they could slack off together.

This is an offline technical route seminar.

As Mengha expected, Loyal Brother and the two old soldiers barely heard the beginning before feeling drowsy. Lord Qin was somewhat helpless but had to endure until his turn to offer opinions.

Nevertheless, among the players, they exchanged glances and whispered to pieced together the situation.

Judging from the location and scene, it’s likely the joint action request from the big shots has been approved, and today is about discussing the upcoming action plan.

“This is a national mission.”

Five-Wheel whispered to Loyal Brother:

“I heard Lord Qin complaining that a unit of Brother Ah Bing has already started intensive training, preparing to act as a support force for the exploration of the Sanghai Empire.

Last night, Lord Qin talked with the presidents of the Players’ Guild over the phone to secure some slots from them. If the players’ approach cannot convey our sincerity to the Sanghai people, and if those allies stubbornly refuse to fulfill the creator’s mandate, in the worst case, we might need to initiate a special ops action.”

However, personally, I don’t think things will escalate to that extent.

Judging from our interaction with His Highness Prince Hu Fu, Sanghai people overall are an open-minded force, and their absolute loyalty to the creator ensures they won’t let matters get out of control in front of Sir Morphy.”

Loyal Brother nodded; this development was within his expectations, and he also didn’t believe the situation would culminate in a military operation, not to mention the consistent political stance at home, even the attitude of Alpha Company likely wouldn’t allow such inter-world warfare to happen.

Without the referee’s nod, any large-scale operation incurs unwarranted sanctions.

Once the big shots wrapped up the technical discussions that are completely incomprehensible to the common folks, Lord Qin ascended the stage in his wheelchair maintaining a military manner, efficiently stating:

“As the commander of this action, my subordinates and I won’t intervene in the ‘explorers” technological endeavors.

Our primary mission is to offer advanced support through various actions in the Sanghai Empire according to my plan. Until we complete the contact with the Sanghai Empire and obtain permission to attempt launching the stranded Sun Ship, you all should stay at R-9 base for technical preparations.”

“I want to remind everyone, this matter doesn’t entirely rely on the research support from reality; important NPCs related to Creator Technology like Lady Mosna, Count Ellen, and Mr. Lao Feilun are targets you can vie for.”

“Especially considering the substantial gap in research abilities between both sides, we may try adopting a local Transtylvania-based solution.”

“From the details extracted by the narrative-focused players in PV, it’s apparent the bighead of the Twilight Organization ‘Scholar’ has completed the route of integrating Steam Engineering with Creator Technology forming mystical engineering, and Sir Morphy likely has clues left by the latter.”

“If Scholar can rely on his set of means to complete the opening of the realm of creation, this signifies the plan greatly benefits the launch of the Sun Ship indeed.”
