My Players Are So Fierce

Chapter 3025 -1007: Got It! The Next Patch’s Answer Is Mechanic!

He gritted his teeth and signed the contract handed to him by the Burning Gold, determined to call for help later.

After all, the Mechanical Church has nothing to do right now, everyone is just waiting to be expelled, so it’s perfect to call over the brothers and sisters to help out, just to earn some pocket money.

Things happening in the sewer are unknown to others, but two days later when players received the “Expanding Outward” next stage mission from Maxim, the Proud Guild made a scene in front of everyone.

“Wow! Niu Niu, look! It’s a Gundam!”

Right when Khaki Tontita was lowering his head to grab a cigarette after taking on the mission and waiting for people to gather, he heard a commotion behind him, turned around, and was instantly stunned.

The cigarette in his hand fell to the ground, and while looking at the enormous thing behind him emitting black smoke, he was patting Niu Niu beside him to look at it.

Niu Niu was busy texting his wife and was annoyed by the interruption, turned back with displeasure, but upon seeing the thing surrounded by many cheering people coming over, he was just as dumbfounded.

“Damn! Isn’t this one of those engineering mechas used by those cyber psychos? Which genius reproduced this thing?”

Niu Niu’s description was spot on.

The thing clinking and clanking as it walked through the crowd behind him was precisely a bipedal mech once seen in a certain game.

The two sturdy, recurved mechanical legs below create a huge noise when struck on the ground, and the upper cabin is a mechanical seat, connected at the back with a huge energy pack, while the two arms extend into bulky mechanical joints.

The left hand was equipped with a six-barreled Iron Hammer Guardian Shotgun, and the right hand held a square mechanical shield covering most of the body, with two crude missile racks for launching Iron Fist Missiles behind the cabin.

Its overall design was filled with a makeshift ruggedness, barely a 70% imitation at best, and the left-hand thermal melter cannon had to be temporarily replaced with a Blazing Gold Slug launcher due to material shortage, greatly reducing its destructive power.

Plus, this thing is just a showpiece right now!

The mechanics from the Mechanical Church toiled for two days to barely get it moving, and the computational pearl for weapon control hasn’t even been installed or calibrated yet, meaning this thing can only take two steps under the smug control of Wu Ma, nothing else.

But even if this large mech can only take two steps, the shock and surprise it brought to players was totally worth it, Little Wei Ming excitedly circled around this wasteland mech replica twice, grew increasingly fond of it, and shouted beside Wu Ma:

“I want this treasure! I’ll take it back for my couch-potato dad to play with, name your price.”

“Emmmm”

Wu Ma wanted to say it wasn’t for sale.

But then he thought about it, constructing this thing almost drained him and the other Zodiac members’ savings; further development would require even more money, which wasn’t something they should be focusing on at that stage. He had received quite a few complaints from the other Zodiac brethren because of this.

So now was the perfect opportunity to cut losses and make a big profit.

Thus Wu Ma coughed twice, quoted a price double the costs, and to his surprise, Little Rich Lady’s eyes shone as she exclaimed:

“Wow! It’s that cheap? Make me two! No, three! One for each of us, the family of three!”

“Wow! That’s considered cheap? Jeez, all you rich brothers and sisters are something else!”

Wu Ma was instantly taken aback.

He knew he shouldn’t have compared finances with Little Wei Ming, who obtained the “Sister Fu” nickname since server launch and never once fell off the throne, but they’re all gaming buddies, some things can’t be hidden. So he climbed out of the cabin and softly said to Little Wei Ming:

“Don’t blame your big brother for not warning you, Little Rich Lady, this thing is just a showpiece for now, further investment is a bottomless pit. When driving it, be careful… Don’t hit that button! The overload mode isn’t adjusted yet, oh geez!”

“Wasteland Mecha! Use Headlong Rush!”

Amidst Wu Ma’s screams, and just seated in the cockpit, Little Wei Ming slapped the overload button.

The poorly-made wasteland mecha roared, and started charging forward with parts flying all over at 200% power, carrying the screaming Little Wei Ming under a chorus of players’ “Oh snap!” as it rumbled like a Siege Hammer crashing into the wall behind.

Luckily it didn’t explode…

“That’s made by the Mechanical Church, right? Only that group of pragmatists can truly design a dumb biped robot based entirely on crazy player ideas.”

This bizarre and absurd scene was witnessed by Loyal Brother who ran to take the mission.

He watched as Little Wei Ming sobbed and was saved by players who were pulling him out from the toppled biped robot, and thoughtfully turned back to say to the envious “Medieval Gospel Warrior” behind him:

“Do you think if we join the Mechanical Church, we could also learn to make such things capable of sailing a boat… Oh snap! I suddenly feel that in the next version, mechanics will definitely get a big buff, let’s go, let’s go find Great Sage Marvin to grab a chunk of version benefits first.”
