My Players Are So Fierce

Chapter 3017 -1005: The Solar Engine Is Such a Good Thing, We Absolutely Need One!

The conversation between Murphy and Prince Hu Fu was only witnessed by General Bopal and Priest Bodinos, thus essentially making it a “confidential conversation,” but considering the amount of information revealed and its significance to the Sanghai Empire, staging such a private exchange was very normal.

None of the four people found it strange, but the timing was a bit subtle.

Because just as this confidential conversation was taking place, over a hundred bigwigs who followed Murphy onto the sunship under the guise of “paying homage to the holy relic” had already begun almost blatant espionage activities, grouping in twos and threes in different areas of the sunship for “observation and learning.”

Although they were not allowed to operate those complex devices, close observation and touch, as well as attempts at deconstruction, continued nonstop.

Some bigwigs even hand-drew the internal structure of what they saw and the basic operating principles, and the superpower from another world, “2400K Ultra Alloy Sharingan,” was obviously in full activation, which immediately caught the attention of operation personnel across the sunship.

Highly vigilant, they tracked them while immediately reporting upwards, but the final report chain was forcibly halted upon reaching Guard Captain Sonnik.

General Bopal’s first mate stood sternly outside the meeting room, speaking in a low voice to Guard Captain Sonnik who was guarding the door:

“I must see the General and His Highness at once, those brought aboard by the vampire are executing espionage activities on our ship in a terrifying manner…”

“I understand your concern, but not now!”

Sonnik glanced at the tightly closed door behind him and shook his head, saying:

“No matter how big the issue is, it must wait until this meeting concludes.”

“What exactly are they discussing?”

The first mate countered with some incomprehension:

“Those guys, using the title of Creator’s Chosen, have already moved towards the solar engine area, which is top secret…”

“Our distinguished guests bring the future of the Empire.”

The guard commander couldn’t disclose the content of the conversation.

He simply placed his hand on the angry first mate’s shoulder and solemnly said:

“Compared to the future His Royal Highness the Crown Prince must contemplate at this moment, the secrets of the sunship can only come second. Moreover, the Sanghai people only temporarily hold this ship, first mate. It is theoretically a gift from the creator, and the inheritor of the creator is in the room behind us.

Do you understand what I mean?

Our temporary possession of it does not mean we are the masters of this ship.

If its true owner wishes to share the creator’s mysteries with outsiders, all we can do is comply.

The most important thing is, this ship’s main control system has opened the green light for them. Even if His Royal Highness issued a prohibition, could we alone prevent ‘Eden’s secrets from being shared?

This ship’s flight across the sky is reliant upon that mysterious guest’s assistance, first mate; you cannot put our distinguished guest in an awkward position. Upholding the Crown Prince’s authority is what we followers must always consider.

Therefore, I ask you to temporarily forget about this matter.

Once we leave the Ligurian Peninsula airspace, compile and report it in detail to the General and His Highness.”

“This…”

The guard commander’s words calmed the angry first mate, who realized that Lord Sonnik’s reminder came at just the right time, and he quickly regained the rationality expected of a seasoned soldier, nodding and taking a step back, he said:

“Thank you for your reminder, I will handle everything properly.

However, I am still a bit hesitant, though I do not believe these strange outsiders can merely rely on initial observation to decipher the secrets of the sunship, but what if some details that cannot be made public are leaked due to their actions…

You know our operation of the sunship is not perfect and it has its flaws in many situations.”

“Perhaps you could remind them of the dangers of such knowledge?”

The guard captain said in a low voice:

“Exchange proactive assistance for their discretion, I believe the Creator’s Chosen’s servants know their boundaries, casually exposing defects of the sunship would bring them no benefit aside from staining their reputation.”

“Hmm, I understand, thank you for the reminder, Lord Sonnik.”

The first mate nodded, saluted, and turned to leave.

Sonnik continued to stand his ground, holding the Sanghai Great Sword, fulfilling his duty as a guard.

However, his communication with the first mate essentially gave the green light to the outsiders currently on the sunship; in the following two hours, their activities were no longer hindered by the soldiers on board, and some scientific officers even proactively assisted them and explained the usage of some instruments.

This subtle shift in attitude was quickly noticed by the bigwigs. Though they didn’t understand what had happened, such a good opportunity had to be seized!

Thus, at the request of Marquis Ma and others, the scientific officers of the Sanghai Fleet reluctantly escorted them into the inner workings of the solar engine device for a tour.

Technically, this place is not allowed for anyone other than Sanghai Divine Officials and the warship commander.

It’s not that there’s fear of sabotaging operations; as the energy source and main weapon of the sunship, the solar engine’s defense system is the strongest on the entire ship. The Sanghai people have conducted tests and assessments under some extreme scenarios in the past.

According to their conclusions, even if the sunship encounters a terrible attack and disintegrates on the spot, the solar engine module can absolutely maintain its integrity and stability under extreme circumstances.
