My Players Are So Fierce

Chapter 3037 -1011: The Bad News and Good News Brought by a Fish (Part 3)

The temple in the Misty Sea is the most important military force of the Atlantean Mermen Kingdom. Under its command, the Tidal Hunters engage in year-round battles across the Misty Sea against The Hidden Worship of Daguan and the Blood Fear Pirates. These wild and fierce Serpent Tail Sisters spend their days either fighting or on their way to fight.

The most unbearable thing is that the “Book of Grudges,” which should belong to the Dwarves, is actually the iconic ritual of the Avenger’s Temple on this continent.

If you dare provoke the Mermen, even by just spitting in their water, you’ll find your name in the “Book of Tides and Hatred,” only to be dragged into the sea and drowned by a group of Tidal Hunters on a night when you accidentally get close to the water.

“Stop scaring him.”

Murphy waved his hand and looked at the incredibly weak mermaid in front of him. From the information revealed by the latter, he had already learned of a terrifying trend.

The war on the Ligurian Peninsula has begun to escalate!

Although the Wolf People cannot breach the defenses of the Exploration Corps to enter the Kato area, the gradually surfacing Hidden Worship of Daguan cares nothing for this. In terms of the Kato area’s narrow coastline, once the Merfolk who worship the Evil God launch an attack on the land, the currently unguarded Kato area will inevitably face calamity.

So, the question facing Murphy is down to just one.

What should he do?

Save?

Or not save?

“We must send a message to the Maginot Line.”

Adel reminded beside him:

“This mermaid just mentioned the sea eye beneath Lake Xiuerpres. I’ve heard before that there’s indeed a mysterious cave under the lake connected to the sea, which means in the worst case scenario, a large number of Merfolk might have already infiltrated inland.

They won’t just attack the Kato area, Master.

Once the Merfolk rise along the Kaderman River, they can launch surprise attacks on Torrent Castle and Crimson Castle, even further into the Kafuhoka Region and Nordtof nation.”

“You instruct Milian to pay special attention to handling this matter after returning to Crimson Castle, and demand Kudell to immediately set up defenses.”

Murphy said in a deep voice:

“I need to meet with Duke Wolfsbane; the Wolfsbane Clan has already rooted itself in the Kato area, he won’t ignore this matter, but it’s also an opportunity.”

The Vampire Lord squinted his eyes and said:

“Refugees believe the Kato area is safe enough, but in fact, it isn’t. Once the war progression of the Exploration Corps meets setbacks, the Kato area will undoubtedly experience unrest among the people, at which point the more secure Maginot Line will become the iron wall.

Hmm…

Activate the Bataxin Business Association’s public opinion network, have Sir Palian personally head to the Maginot Line to preside over this matter, and perhaps a wave of refugees will soon enter Transylvania.”

“Will Duke Wolfsbane let the people go?”

Adel whispered, Murphy nodded and said:

“He will!

Old Edward wants to establish a system similar to Transylvania in the Kato area, he hopes to achieve a true ‘division of land and sovereignty’ controlled by vampires, fewer people is not necessarily better under these premises.

At least before the Wolfsbane Clan fully controls the Kato area, Old Edward’s pursuit of stability outweighs his expansion of power.

He won’t obstruct this matter and might even secretly assist, the only problem now is how we’ll evade the troublesome Dwarf Marshal…”

“Governor, urgent report from the front line!”

Professor Malcolm entered the room holding a report with a serious expression and said:

“The war in the peninsula’s northern part has entered a new phase!

A large number of Merfolk have landed from the coast, severing the communication between the Exploration Corps’ pioneers and the rear overnight. They’ve summoned disastrous storm climates in the peninsula’s north to assist the Bone Biting Jackal Men in encircling the Exploration Corps’ army.

According to accurate information sent back by the Third Airship Brigade, Marshal Loren and his command are also trapped within the encircled troops. Before escaping the disaster storm, the airship also observed the scene of Goldenrod People fighting with endless waves of Filthy Jackal People on the mountain.

The Steam Lords have decided to aid and liberate the peninsula’s north, they’re requesting our participation.”

“Ha! This is exactly the good news I wanted to hear.”

Murphy glanced at the report he held, then turned back to Adel and said:

“Go, have Milian return to Crimson Castle as quickly as possible to take charge, deploy Avalon Sect missionaries, and utilize Bataxin Business Association’s full pressure through public opinion. In this wave of peninsula conflict, the Goldenrod Kingdom has absorbed at least six hundred thousand refugees, once the Merfolk commence their offensive on land, I want them to spit out at least half!”

“Yes, sir!”

Adel immediately turned and left, Murphy turned to a few players beside him.

He rubbed his chin and said to the players:

“Colonel Ron of the Black Flame Mercenary Group is still in town, please invite him to the embassy for me, I want to discuss with him after my negotiations with Duke Edward. You don’t need to go, Three Five Battles.

You have more troublesome things to handle.”

Murphy, in a bantering manner, reached out to pat Three Five Battles on the shoulder and said:

“Everyone’s busy, no one has the time to appoint a servant specifically for taking care of this mermaid lady who brought important intelligence, so, considering you’ve already provoked the Mermen, I suggest you find a way to earn her forgiveness recently.

From now on, I appoint you as ‘Transia Embassy Temporary Mermaid Keeper.’ As Transia’s first unofficial contact with the Atlantean Kingdom, I hope you can fulfill this diplomatic role.”

The Vampire Lord shrugged, saying amidst others’ laughs:

“Now, let’s give our mermaid lady a change of water; I’ve heard Mermen are clean-loving good fish, being stuck in such dirty water is indeed undignified.”
