My Players Are So Fierce

Chapter 3005 -1001: Expansion Pack “The Creator’s Legacy” Materials Released

The changes happening all over the world right now are still unknown to the players; those waves are destined to take time before they can have a major impact on the current global situation.

Just like Murphy, who personally executed the formatting command, can’t foresee what kind of shock his actions will bring to the other factions. But Murphy doesn’t care about that at the moment; he’s got other headaches to deal with.

“Two thirds of the equipment in the Swamp Forbidden Area have shut down, everything in the bio-lab has basically turned into scrap metal, though that tracking program for Legendary Creatures and various ecologies is still running. Worst of all, there’s no hot water in the bathroom, and the massage tub is offline too…”

Triss complained:

“I just got back wanting to take a shower and unwind a bit, and all that came out was cold water. Sure, it woke me up, but even the elevator is unusable, isn’t that a bit too ridiculous? Those three Iron Beetle Assistants are offline as well, and the Forbidden Area’s security system has totally given up; the big protective matrix can only maintain the bare minimum operation.

The R-9 base hasn’t been affected though, probably because it’s part of the Life Greenhouse Project itself and has relatively high clearance.”

“Hog’s side is in serious trouble too, the Civilization Museum of the Jackalman is basically shut down.”

“You bastard, could you maybe talk it over with me before making such important decisions?”

“I didn’t have that much time to think back then, I had to get everything done before the Scholar restarted the Life Greenhouse, and from the looks of it the outcome’s not bad.”

Murphy leaned back on the embassy sofa. Facing Triss’s complaints, he shrugged and said:

“And it’s not just us having problems; Dusk’s side must be in way more trouble than we are. I can already picture those guys running around in a panic.

They’ve gotten used to using Creator Technology devices to maintain their communications. Now suddenly going back to a Spiritual Energy environment is bound to cause issues in their response system, which conveniently creates a perfect opportunity for those Helms’s men that are currently hunting them down.

Mosna, could I trouble you to go to the Swamp Forbidden Area and the Civilization Museum of the Jackalman to get those systems back online?”

“Of course, that’s not hard.”

The Maintenance Sentinel nodded and said:

“But there’s one issue: the broken old net left behind by the creator has already been completely torn apart by you. That means if we want to keep close contact between the various Creator Lands, we’ll have to reweave a new usable network from scratch.

The workload is a bit too huge. I can’t manage that alone.”

“But you’re not alone.”

Murphy fished around in his pocket, took out an exquisite gemstone badge and tossed it to Mosna. She caught it and glanced at it, noticing there was a Shadow Spider carved into the gemstone. She immediately curled her lip and said:

“I knew it. There’s no way you tore up the old net just on a whim. Back when you lured Lady Rose into stepping into the realm of networks and data, you’d already laid the groundwork for what came after. So now I not only have to go reboot the systems for each Creator Land, I also have to bring along a clueless idiot Divine Spirit who doesn’t understand any of this?”

“You’re already teaching Old Flywheel and Little Sheron, both apprentices are coming along fine. Adding one more isn’t a big problem.”

Murphy tried to persuade her:

“Lady Rose is a god, her learning ability is insane. Look, just by watching my little player use a ddos attack once, she was able to create a Divine Arts specifically targeting machines and data.

That’s more than enough proof that she’s smart enough to learn from you how to weave programs and data for Creator Technology.

In the most optimistic scenario, after Lady Rose follows you to bring the Swamp Forbidden Area and the Civilization Museum of the Jackalman back online, she can try using the current technological power of the Continent to weave her own Network of Data and Destiny.”

“So this is your real plan?”

Listening at the side, Triss raised an eyebrow and said:

“First you rip apart the old net to drag both sides back to the same level. On our side we’ve got Mosna, the Sentinel Corps, and the Eden program plus a Lady Rose whose learning ability is off the charts. They only have one Revival Program and one Scholar. Our recovery speed for mechanical combat power will far surpass theirs, and we use that to achieve a gradual crush in overall fighting capability?”

“Yeah, pretty much.”

Murphy rubbed his chin and nodded:

“But to actually pull this off we still need to make a trip to the Sanghai Empire. You know, the energy problem is a major issue we desperately need to solve, and Eden also needs new data carriers. Rose wants to weave a world-wide internet, and there’s no way she can conjure an entire system out of thin air.

She needs a platform.

And nothing’s more suitable than the Creator Engine that’s still sitting in the Origin Land right now.

But you’re wrong on one point, Triss. Our greatest advantage isn’t the four things you just mentioned!”

The Vampire Lord took out his pocket watch and checked the time—five minutes to midnight. He leaned back on the sofa, closed his eyes, and entered the forum, preparing to finish the last steps for the early material release of the new version.

He said:

“Our biggest advantage isn’t even in this world… Ah, after all this probing in diplomacy from both sides, it’s about time to start our first official cooperation.”

After the Transia Tavern APP went online, a portion of the game forum’s traffic got diverted, but the visit count here was still insanely high. Every day, tons of new threads were opened and then fiercely discussed by the more than 6,000 players in total.
