My Players Are So Fierce

Chapter 3020 -1006: Loyal Brother’s Trial · National Quest

“What, what, what? Slow down a bit, I can’t wrap my head around why suddenly the entire Loyalty Song Guild is required to participate in the exploration of the Sanghai Empire?”

In a certain alley in Charldo Harbor, Loyal Brother, who was taking newbies to clear tasks and casually searching for Mechanical Church creation blueprints, received an urgent message. He rushed to the Transia Embassy as fast as he could, only to be surrounded by a group of top players who sternly demanded that he and his guild must participate in the next expansion’s new exploration.

This request left Loyal Brother baffled.

These top players really don’t understand the burdens of leadership.

His guild only has about three hundred members, and they’re already responsible for the operation of the Transia First National Armory, handling a series of reception tasks following the territorial release of the R-9 base, and escorting the expelled Mechanical Church members back to work in collaboration with Charldo Harbor.

Even with the hired NPCs, manpower is stretched thin, yet they are required to participate in the next expansion’s exploration, which really pushes the limit.

However, the top players must have their reasons for demanding this of Loyal Brother.

“I know you’re under pressure, but come with me! I’ll explain the reasoning behind it.”

Old Horse took Loyal Brother’s hand and led him aside. Feeling a bit restless, he awkwardly pulled out a Dwarf Pipe from somewhere and clumsily filled it with tobacco leaves. Loyal Brother shook his head and took out a pack of unbranded cigarettes from his bag, offering one to the big shot.

He pulled out his self-made cool mechanical-style lighter to light the cigarette for Marquis Ma, saying:

“Old Huo’s casino just recently made these cigarettes, and they’ve been well received by the gamblers. That fellow is planning to expand production. Apart from old-school folks like Lord Qin who seek ritualistic experiences, no one really uses pipes anymore.

This stuff is provided for free to players as a perk by Boss Huo. If you need it, just head over to the shop at Crimson Castle.”

“Hmm, the taste is nice, even the filters are made with localized materials. It seems like real effort was put into this.”

Old Horse exhaled a smoke ring and casually took Loyal Brother’s pack of cigarettes and lighter, causing Loyal Brother’s eye to twitch. He then soberly said:

“We’re aware of how busy you are, but let me tell you, you must participate in the next expansion, and so will we. During the recent examination of the sunship, we confirmed the solar engine uses an advanced variant of cold fusion technology, following the Creator Technology route.

Do you understand what this means?”

“Hmm? You’re not joking, right? Is it really cold fusion?”

Loyal Brother jolted, looked around seriously, and said:

“This isn’t a matter to joke about.”

“No one’s joking with you. We’ve heard from the main storyline NPCs that currently, the Sanghai Empire’s sunship is grounded, and the creator has issued an oracle saying these relics belong to ‘those with virtue’!”

Old Horse squinted his eyes, took a deep drag, and then exhaled through his nostrils.

Biting his teeth, he said:

“We must get a ship! Just observing and mimicking is not the same as having the real thing. If we obtain the artifact, even deciphering a tenth of its technology could substantially elevate our solar creation back home. If we can accomplish subsequent technological discussions and physical construction here…

Ah, I consider myself indifferent to fame and wealth, but frankly, such eternally renowned feats are so close. Who wouldn’t be tempted?”

“This kind of matter… we need to discuss internally, big shot.”

Loyal Brother also became excited.

He seemingly saw a bright future where he’d get a dedicated section in his family history but, being grounded, he immediately started analyzing the challenges of this matter.

After a few seconds of thought, he shook his head and said:

“We can’t handle this alone. Although the creator has issued an oracle, as long as the Sanghai People aren’t fools, they won’t easily let us near those grounded sunships. The current situation makes armed seizure impossible.

Sir Morphy wouldn’t permit us to stir up internal conflicts between civilized factions.

Thus, we must rely on player community activity and follow the main storyline. Since Sir Morphy, this main storyline NPC, has divulged this information to you, it proves there will be similar segments in the subsequent plot.

However, if it’s a reputation route, wanting to procure a sunship from the Sanghai Empire is an exaggerating concept.

Moreover, even with the oracle of the creator as a basic support, we need to rely on ourselves to get that ship flying again to qualify. This isn’t something decided on impulse, so big shot, calm down first. I’ll report this to Lord Qin.

If necessary, we will mobilize players to help.”

Old Horse nodded and took another hard drag, then quietly said:

“Uh… it’s not that I don’t trust our people, but involving civilians in this kind of matter, isn’t it kind of…”

“No worries; many previous situations have shown that players are wholeheartedly patriotic. Everyone has high awareness and is trustworthy comrades.”

Loyal Brother assured, patting his chest:

“If this matter requires all players to work together, I believe no one will refuse. Leave this to us. You guys should quickly think about what method you’ll use to get the grounded sunship flying again after we obtain the trial permission.
