The robed figures hesitated, clearly recognizing E.E and the threat he posed.

”He is one of our god close friends,” One of them voiced.

”It doesnʼt matter! Get him!” Another one of them shouted in response, and they launched themselves at him with reckless abandon.

E.E didnʼt move at first. He simply raised his hand, and with a flick of his wrist, a vortexes appeared like rings around all of the attackers.

In next instant, the rings closed off and body parts were seperated in half.

Blood spilled like as E.E continuously opened Vortexes within the body of the attacks, causing some of their internal organs to get sucked in from within and leaving them hollow.

In just a little while, only a few of them were left.

Elevora body trembled from exhaustion as she managed a small, relieved smile. ”E.E…” she whispered, barely able to stand.

In the next moment, E.E scooped Elevora into his arms, shielding her from any further attacks as he unleashed a final, devastating blast of vortex energy that disintegrated the remaining Gustavo Alliance members.

”Letʼs get you out of here,” E.E said softly, and before the enemies could regroup, he stepped back into the shimmering vortex, disappearing into the void with Elevora.

---

E.E and Elevora emerged from the shimmering violet vortex onto the rough, rocky surface of a distant moon.

The air was thin, the atmosphere silent except for the vibrations of residual energy from the portal that had just closed behind them.

Elevora still weak from her injuries, slumped against a jagged rock formation, her face pale and strained. She clutched at the stump where her arm had been severed, the pain dull but ever-present.

Without hesitation, E.E knelt beside her. Hi expression was unusually serious as he pulled out a small metallic capsule from his belt. The capsule, no bigger than a thumb, glinted under the dim light of a distant star.

”Here, take this,” E.E said while offering her the capsule. ”Itʼs a high-grade med pill. Should help stabilize your condition and maybe even regenerate the damage. Letʼs hope itʼs not too late for your arm.”

Elevoraʼs violet eye blinked in acknowledgment, her other two eyes fixed on the capsule. Her body was trembling from blood loss, and her usual resilience was faltering under the seriousness of her injury.

With shaky hands, she accepted the pill and swallowed it dry, grimacing as the potent medicine began its rapid work. E.E watched intently, his brow furrowed in concern.

”You shouldnʼt have come back for me,*” Elevora muttered with a strained voice. ”I had them… until that last one showed up.”

E.E shook his head, ”You infiltrated the Gustavo Alliance alone for months, babe. Youʼve done enough. I wasnʼt going to sit back and let them take you.”

The med pillʼs effects began to take hold, and Elevoraʼs breathing steadied. A faint glow shimmered over her body as her cells accelerated their regeneration, though it would take time for her arm to even begin healing properly. It was harder for high ranked Mixedbloods to regenerate from med pills compared to weaker ones.

Still, her strength was returning—just in time.

A dark presence* filled the air suddenly, so intense that the very ground beneath them trembled. E.E stood, immediately on high alert. Elevoraʼs face paled even further as her eyes widened.

”...Itʼs him,” she whispered with a wary tone. ”E.E, we have to leave. Now.**”

E.Eʼs eyes narrowed as he saw the figure appear on the horizon. His dark cloak rippled, as though moved by an unseen wind, and his silhouette grew larger as he approached.

This was no ordinary member of the Gustavo Alliance—his power radiated out in waves, oppressive and suffocating.

”His power took me by surprise earlier... Heʼs the reason why I had to flee,” Elevora stated.

It was the man who had severed Elevoraʼs arm, the one responsible for nearly ending her mission and her life.

”Heʼs the one?” E.E asked with a low and deadly calm voice.

”Yes,” Elevora whispered. ”Heʼs different from the others. Much stronger. We canʼt take him. Not like this.”

E.E clenched his fists. The air around him crackled with energy as he prepared to face the newcomer. But Elevora gripped his arm, her voice urgent. ”Donʼt. We need to leave. Heʼs not someone you can just fight head-on.

Weʼll both be killed.”

Elevora knew what E.E was thinking... If he could open a vortex within this assailant, he could end him swiftly but she knew for sure that it wouldnʼt work. Not with this one...

For a brief moment, E.E considered standing his ground. But then he glanced at Elevora—her injuries, the strain she was under, and the fact that they had narrowly escaped the Gustavo Allianceʼs trap.

He needed to prioritize her safety.

The ground beneath them quaked as the figure neared. His dark eyes gleamed with malice, his presence warping the space around him. His steps were slow, deliberate, but each one caused the rocks to tremble, as if the world itself recoiled from his approach.

Without another word, E.E opened a *violet vortex behind them. The swirling energy created a pathway to safety, but as they stepped toward it, the figureʼs voice echoed across the barren landscape.

”Leaving so soon?” His voice was deep, guttural, laced with malevolent power. You canʼt escape me. You only delay the inevitable.”

E.E shot him a glare as he gently supported Elevora toward the vortex. ”Weʼll see about that,” he muttered under his breath, leading her into the swirling energy.

Just as the vortex began to close, the man lunged forward with a terrifying speed.

E.E. noticed this and willed the vortex to close faster. Fortunately, the vortex close before the figure could get to them.

However, he didnʼt stop.

He slammed his hands into the air where the vortex had been, and with a low growl, began ripping the air open.

The very fabric of space seemed to tear apart in his hands as he reopened the portal E.E had just created. Without hesitation, the dark figure stepped through, his eyes burning with the intent to finish what he had started.

Meanwhile, back on Earth, it had been days since the last solid lead on Calden Reist. Gustav was growing increasingly frustrated. His vast perception, which extended across the planet and even beyond, had not been enough to locate Calden.

It was as if Calden knew exactly how to evade him, slipping between the cracks of Gustavʼs awareness.

The constant waiting was becoming disturbing. He paced the MBO command room, his mind racing with possibilities, each one darker than the last. He had seen the images of Caldenʼs transformation, the dark tendrils twisting through his body.

Calden had once been a good man, but now, under the influence of Nocturnis, he was something else entirely.

While Gustav waited for news, Endric had taken the initiative to visit Calden Reistʼs home. Endricʼs current gentle nature made him the right person for this delicate task.

He arrived at the modest house just outside the city—a quiet, unassuming place.

Caldenʼs wife and ten-year-old daughter still lived there, and they were caught in the wake of the storm their husband and father had left behind.

Endric knocked softly, and a moment later, the door opened to reveal Caldenʼs wife. Her eyes red and swollen. She looked tired, worn down by the current situation. Her daughter, clinging to her side, looked equally distressed.

”Youʼre… from the MBO, arenʼt you?” the woman asked, her voice trembling. ”Please… I donʼt know where Calden is. I donʼt know whatʼs happening.”

Endric gave her a gentle smile, doing his best to appear non-threatening. ”Iʼm not here to hurt you or your family,” he said softly. ”I just want to talk. I know how hard this must be for you. Weʼre trying to find him and help him, but we need your help.”

The womanʼs face crumpled, and she ushered him inside while her daughter looked up at him with fearful eyes.

As they sat down, the woman began to explain. ”Heʼs not a terrorist, you know. Calden was a good man. He loved us. He loved this world. He only volunteered for that mission because he wanted to protect people.

And now… now theyʼre hunting him like heʼs a monster.”

Endric listened intently with a look of empathy. ”I believe you,” he said. ”I know heʼs a good man. But something happened to him in the dark plane. Something… dark. Weʼre not trying to hurt him.

Weʼre trying to stop the thing thatʼs controlling him.”

The little girl, who had been silent until now, looked up at Endric with wide, tear-filled eyes. ”They call my daddy a bad man at school,” she whispered. ”They say heʼs a monster. But heʼs not. Heʼs just sick, right?”

Endricʼs chest tightened. ”Heʼs sick, yes,” he said gently. ”But weʼre going to do everything we can to help him. I promise you that.”

He turned to Caldenʼs wife. ”I need to know if thereʼs anywhere special that Calden might go. A place he loved, somewhere he could be hiding. Anything that might give us a clue.”

The woman wiped her eyes, thinking for a moment. ”Iʼm not sure but there might be one place…” she began slowly.
