”You see, Outworldly,” the Overseer intoned, his voice reverberating with an ancient authority. ”I was not called the Overseer for nothing. My power comes not just from might, but from the ability to adapt, to become more than what I was. Even now, I grow stronger.”

The Outworldly eyes narrowed. He could feel it—the Overseer was indeed becoming stronger with each passing moment. His power slowly but surely increased as he adapted to his attacks. ”Adapt all you want,” The Outworldly replied with sharp defiance. ”It will not be enough.”

He retaliated with a blast of his own, a concentrated beam of cosmic energy that pierced through the void, heading straight for the Overseer. It struck him squarely, the impact creating a shockwave that sent ripples across the universe.

The Overseerʼs form shook, and fragments of his glowing body seemed to crack and break away, dissipating into the void. But within moments, his body began to mend itself, the light within him growing even brighter.

The Overseerʼs adaptation was in full force. His cracked form healed almost instantly, and his next attack came faster. He launched a flurry of energy beams with the latter being more powerful than the former.

The Outworldly dodged and countered with rapid movements. His counterattacks were devastating, each strike tearing through the Overseerʼs massive form. But no matter how much damage he inflicted, the Overseer adapted, evolving in real-time to withstand the next blow.

The battle raged on, a clash of titanic forces that seemed without end. Ellias delivered blow after blow, each more devastating than the last, yet the Overseer refused to fall. His adaptation ability allowed him to grow stronger with each passing moment, and his sheer willpower seemed to defy the limits of existence.

”You fool!” the Overseer roared. ”Do you not see? I am the eternal watcher, the one who can never be undone! I will take your power, and with it, I will bring back my daughter, the deities—all that you have destroyed!”

The Outwordlyʼs face tightened with concentration, his form glowing ever brighter as he drew upon the full extent of his cosmic power. ”You are blind, Overseer,” his voice resonated with a calm fury. ”You would destroy reality itself for the sake of your pride. I cannot allow that.”

Their cosmic energies collided again, sending out another wave of destruction that rippled across the universe. Stars went supernova, entire systems were obliterated, and black holes flared and then collapsed in on themselves.

The very fabric of reality was beginning to unravel. Even the dark dimension where Nocturnis was sealed quaked under the strain of the cosmic conflict.

The Outworldly knew he was on a clock. The Overseer was indeed an opponent like no other—though he could not match the Outworldlyʼs raw power, his ability to adapt and grow stronger meant that the longer the battle lasted, the more dangerous he became. And there was no way to erase him from existence, as he had done with the others.

The Overseerʼs very essence was tied to the cosmos, and he was incapable of perishing.

The battle reached a fever pitch. The Outworldly, seeing an opening, summoned a torrent of cosmic energy and directed it into a single, focused blast that lanced out towards the Overseer. The blast was so intense that it seemed to tear a hole in reality itself, a void of pure nothingness opening in its wake.

The Overseer took the full brunt of the attack, his massive form disintegrating into fragments of light. For a moment, it seemed as if he had been defeated. But then, out of the void, his form reconstituted itself, the light coalescing into his titanic shape once more. His eyes burned with an even greater fury.

”You cannot destroy me, Outworldly!” he roared with a deafening gale that shook the heavens. ”I am eternal! I will oversee the cosmos, as I always have!”

Ellias barely had time to react before the Overseer unleashed an unexpected, immensely powerful attack. A beam of energy, black as the void yet filled with the light of countless stars, surged forth from the Overseerʼs core, striking Ellias with a force that shattered his protective aura and sent him hurtling back through space.

The Outworldly felt the impact reverberate through his very being. Pain—a sensation he had not felt in eons—seared through him as he stabilized himself. He looked up to see the Overseer advancing with relentless determination.

”You see now, Outwordly?” the Overseer growled while spreading out his numerous hands. ”You cannot win. Surrender your power to me, and I will do what must be done.”

Ellias clenched his fists. ”Never,” he stated. ”I will not allow you to tear apart everything that exists for your selfish desire.”

Another wave of energy blasts flew between them as their battle continued. The universe around them continued to shudder and crack. The cosmic fabric threatened to tear apart at any moment. The balance of all creation hung in the balance of their battle, and it was clear that if this continued, everything—every planet, every star, every life—would be reduced to nothingness.

Ellias knew he had to make a decision. The Overseer could not be destroyed, and with each passing moment, he grew stronger, more adapted to Elliasʼs attacks. But there was one option left.

Ellias took a deep breath. His gaze turned firm as he focused his energy. ”If you cannot be destroyed,” he said with a resolute tone, ”then you will have to be sealed.”

The Overseerʼs eyes widened, a flicker of doubt crossing his features for the first time. ”What are you planning, Outworldly?” he demanded, his voice laced with both anger and a hint of unease.

Ellias began to weave his power in a new pattern, one he had not used in eons—a cosmic seal, stronger than anything he had ever created before. The very threads of the universe began to converge around them, twisting and binding together.

”I will seal you away,” Ellias declared, his voice rising with authority. ”Just as I sealed Nocturnis. You will be locked away, unable to interfere with the cosmos again.”

The cosmic battlefield crackled with energy as the Outworldly began the delicate process of sealing the Overseer. Even as their battle raged on, Ellias focused his mind on weaving the cosmic threads of reality into an intricate, unbreakable seal.

The Overseer, sensing his impending fate, thrashed and fought with renewed desperation. His colossal form glowed with a dark, burning light, an embodiment of ancient wrath and defiance.

”You cannot contain me, Outwordly!” the Overseer roared, his voice echoing across the vastness of space, making stars tremble and galaxies sway in their orbits. ”I am eternal! I am the Overseer, and I will not be bound by your pathetic attempts!”

Elliasʼs face was set in a grim, determined expression. His cosmic aura flared with brilliance, and the threads of the universe gathered around him, forming a net of pure, radiant energy. ”Your reign of chaos ends here,” he replied, his voice calm but firm, carrying the weight of an unbreakable will. ”The cosmos cannot survive your unchecked fury.

I will seal you away, where your ambition will harm no one.”

The Overseer, realizing the severity of his situation, launched a flurry of desperate attacks. Beams of cosmic energy, crackling with raw power, burst forth from his many limbs, each one capable of destroying entire galaxies. Ellias met these attacks head-on, deflecting them with waves of his own cosmic force.

The void between them erupted with light and energy, their clash sending ripples through the very fabric of reality.

Ellias continued weaving the seal, his hands moving in complex patterns as he drew upon the deepest wells of his power. The threads of the universe began to fold around the Overseer, forming an ever-tightening spiral of energy that glowed with an intense, blinding light. The Overseer felt his immense form being constricted, drawn into a vortex of Elliasʼs making.

”No! I will not be caged like some lesser deity!” The Overseer bellowed in rage and desperation. ”I will tear this universe apart before I let you bind me!”

”You already tried that,” Ellias retorted, his focus never wavering as he closed the final threads of the seal. ”And you failed. This is your last stand, Overseer.”

The cosmic seal began to take shape—a dimension that folded in on itself infinitely, layered with countless barriers that could withstand even the greatest cosmic force. The Overseerʼs form twisted and distorted, drawn into the spiraling vortex. His limbs flailed wildly as he fought against the pull, but the threads tightened further, locking him in place.

Just as the final layer of the seal was about to close, the Overseerʼs eyes blazed with a dark, malevolent light. ”If I am to be sealed away,” he hissed, his voice now filled with venomous spite, ”then I shall leave you with a parting gift!”

He gathered all his remaining power into one final, corrupting blow, launching it directly at Ellias. A beam of dark energy, pulsating with chaotic and twisted power, shot out from the Overseerʼs core, striking Ellias squarely in the chest.
