Elliasʼs smile widened. ”There canʼt be two Outworldlies in this universe,” he explained with a calm tone as the energy coursed back into him. ”When you stole my power, you didnʼt just take energy—you absorbed a piece of my very existence into yourself. And with that, you also inherited a vulnerability.”

The new Outworldlyʼs eyes were wide with realization. ”No… you canʼt mean…”

Ellias nodded. ”Yes. Since a part of me exists within you, all I needed was to make contact… to activate a return transfer process.” He gestured around them as the cosmic energy continued to flow back into him, filling him with strength. ”And now, everything youʼve stolen from me is coming back.”

The deities exchanged panicked glances. Nocturnis, eyes wide, roared, ”We must destroy him before he regains his full power!”

”Attack!” screamed Ignara as her fiery form blazed

A wave of divine energy surged forward as the deities launched themselves at Ellias. They could not afford to let him regain his strength.

Ellias, still holding onto the new Outworldlyʼs shoulder, turned his gaze towards the approaching gods. His eyes shone with the light of a billion stars, and his aura flared up like a supernova.

”Youʼre too late,” he said softly, and then, his voice rising, he shouted, ”Iʼve already begun to reclaim what was mine!”

With a wave of his hand, a barrier of pure cosmic force erupted around him, sending the deities flying back.

Nocturnisʼs shadows shattered like glass against the barrier, while Ignaraʼs flames were snuffed out in an instant like a candle light. Kailorʼs thunderbolts dissipated harmlessly upon impact, and Oceanaʼs tidal waves crashed against the shield, scattering into droplets that glimmered like stars.

The new Outworldlyʼs form was now half its original size, his energies rapidly draining away. His face contorted with rage and fear. ”I wonʼt let you take it back!” he screamed, his voice now thin and shrill, a far cry from the commanding presence he had just moments ago. ”I am the new Outworldly! I will not be defeated by a relic of the past!”

Elliasʼs eyes narrowed. ”Itʼs over,” he declared. ”Youʼve lost.”

The transference accelerated and more energy poured into Ellias like a flood. The new Outworldlyʼs form began to flicker.

”No… NO!” he shrieked, clawing desperately at the air, trying to escape.

The deities, desperate to prevent the original Outworldly from regaining his full power, unleashed everything they had left in a final, all-out assault.

Nocturnis, Oceana, Ignara, Kailor, and the few others who still had the strength to fight rallied together, hurling torrents of divine energy toward Ellias in a concentrated barrage.

Their faces were masks of fear and fury, their divine forms battered and bruised from the relentless battle that had stretched on for what felt like an eternity.

”Donʼt let him get his power back!” Nocturnis roared, his shadowy tendrils lashing out, seeking to bind Ellias and tear him apart. ”This is our last chance!”

”Pour everything you have into it!” Ignara screamed, her body blazing with intense, desperate flames. ”We end him now, or we perish!”

But even as their combined might crashed down upon Ellias, it was like throwing pebbles at a mountain.

The cosmic barrier around him flared, absorbing the blows with an almost mocking ease. Ellias form gloewed brighter with each passing moment as the energy continued to flow back into him from the fading new Outworldly.

He raised his hand, and a wave of his fingers sent out ripples that shattered the incoming attacks like glass. The deities stumbled back, their eyes widening in shock. His power was growing—exponentially.

”Pathetic,” Ellias murmured, his voice carrying through the void, laced with cold disdain. ”You should know better than to challenge the true Outworldly.”

Oceana, with her flowing, liquid form, summoned a massive surge of cosmic water, hoping to drown Ellias in a deluge of raw power.

The wave roared toward him like a furious ocean, but Ellias merely extended a finger and traced a line in the air. The massive wave split apart, its waters turning into a cloud of shimmering droplets that dissipated harmlessly into the void.

”This is impossible...” Oceana gasped, her voice trembling. ”How can he be this powerful already?”

Kailor, his body crackling with thunderous energy, launched bolt after bolt of lightning, each strike meant to pierce through Elliasʼs defenses. But each bolt was caught effortlessly in Elliasʼs hand, the energy crackling and fizzling out like a childʼs sparkler.

”Enough games,” Ellias said, his voice resonant with a commanding finality. ”You thought you could dethrone me with brute force? Youʼve learned nothing from your defeat.”

The original Outworldlyʼs presence continued to swell as his aura expanded like a supernova. Even though he was not yet at full strength, it was clear that even a fraction of his regained power was more than enough to handle the remaining deities.

The new Outworldly, now reduced to a mere shadow of his former self, was slowly reverting to his original humanoid form.

His once-terrifying cosmic presence was dwindling, his shape shrinking and contorting as he desperately tried to fight against the depletion of his strength.

”No… no… this canʼt be happening!” The humanoid deity cried.

But even as he shouted, the energy continued to bleed out of him, siphoning back into Ellias. The original Outworldly didnʼt even have to touch him—his very presence seemed to draw the stolen power back to its rightful owner. The new Outworldlyʼs once mighty body shriveled, his eyes wide with terror and disbelief.

”Youʼre nothing but a thief,” Ellias said coldly, not even bothering to turn and face him. ”And a thief never truly owns what they steal.”

Ignara, seeing their new leaderʼs rapid decline, felt the desperation clawing at her. ”We can still overwhelm him!” she shouted. ”If we give everything we have—”

Ellias moved. In a blur, he crossed the distance to Ignara, his hand lashing out faster than thought. He caught her throat in his grip, and her flames sputtered and died around his fingers. Her eyes bulged with shock as his grip tightened.

”Enough,” Ellias said softly. ”You had your chance.”

He hurled her aside like a ragdoll. She collided with a field of distant asteroids.

The remaining deities faltered. They could feel it—the hopelessness of their situation. Their numbers were dwindling, and those who were left standing were weakened, their divine energies nearly depleted. They were outmatched, outpowered, and utterly out of options.

Nocturnis, seeing the inevitable, raised his hands in a gesture of surrender. ”Wait!” he shouted. ”Ellias, we… we yield! There is no more fight left in us.”

Ellias slowly turned to face him, his expression stern but calm. ”Yield? After all youʼve done? After attempting to tear apart the very fabric of reality, you think yielding now absolves you?”

Oceana, sensing a moment of opportunity, tried to plead. ”We were deceived! The new Outworldly promised us dominion, but we didnʼt know—”

”You knew,” Ellias cut her off, his voice sharp and unyielding. ”You all knew what you were getting into. Greed, ambition, the desire for reckless actions—you chose this path willingly.”

As his power continued to swell, Ellias looked down at his enemies while his eyes glowed like twin stars. ”And now, you will face the consequences of your actions.”

With a wave of his hand, the space around them began to warp and twist, bending to his will. He drew the remaining deities into the center of the battlefield, forcing them to their knees.

They struggled, but it was like trying to stand under the pressure of a billion collapsing stars.

”Please,” Nocturnis whispered, his voice barely audible. ”Mercy...”

Elliasʼs gaze swept over them, his eyes cold and unreadable. ”Mercy?” he repeated. ”Why should I grant mercy to those who sought to destroy everything I created?”

Among the deities was Selara, the daughter of the Overseer.

She had fought valiantly alongside the others, but now her celestial form was pale and see through. Her eyes widen with fear and realization.

She had believed in the new Outworldlyʼs way, thinking it was better for the deities. But now, faced with the overwhelming presence of the true Outworldly, she saw how misguided she had been.

Elliasʼs gaze locked onto Selara, and for a moment, his expression softened, but only slightly. ”You,” he said, his voice a rumble that reverberated through the void. ”Daughter of the Overseer. Did you think your fatherʼs status would protect you from the consequences of your actions?”

Selara trembled but managed to speak, her voice quivering with fear and desperation. ”I… I was misled. I thought... I thought we were doing what was necessary to bring balance—”

”Balance?” Ellias interrupted with a sharp tone. ”You call this chaos ʼbalanceʼ? You sought ruckus without understanding its cost. And now you will learn what that cost truly is.”

The deities were all at his mercy now, brought low before his restored might. Even the fake Outworldly, now reduced to his initial humanoid form, knelt among them. His face twisted in fear, hatred, and resignation.

Ellias raised his hands causing cosmic energy to swirl around his fingertips which glowed with the light of a thousand galaxies. ”This blunder shall not go without a defining punishment,” his tone thundered like the wrath of the king of gods.
