Angyʼs silver and pink hair flowed behind her like a banner of light in the otherwise dark world.

Her chest rose and fell quickly as she caught her breath, but her face was lit up with joy and excitement.

The moment her eyes locked with Gustavʼs, everything around them seemed to fall away—the chaos, the destruction, even the deep fissure in the earth. It was just the two of them, standing there.

Without hesitation, she threw her arms around him, embracing him tightly. ”Youʼre back! I canʼt believe youʼre really back!”

The embrace was immediate, warm, and full of emotion. The tension that had been sitting in Gustavʼs chest since his return to Earth seemed to melt away as he wrapped his arms around her.

For the first time in what felt like an eternity, Gustav allowed himself to relax, to feel the warmth of someone he cared about after so long fighting alone. It was as though the universe had been holding its breath for this moment—when two forces of nature, separated for far too long, would finally reunite.

”Angy,” Gustav whispered into her hair, his voice soft but filled with unspoken emotion. ”Iʼve missed you.”

Angy pulled back just enough to look up into his eyes, her hands still resting on his shoulders. The usual determination and fierceness in her gaze were softened by something more personal.

Her heart raced, not just from the speed of her arrival but from the way Gustav looked at her—as if she was the one thing anchoring him to this world.

”I knew youʼd come back soon,” Angy said with a quieter voice.

The world around them seemed to still for a moment, as if even the chaos of the universe paused in respect for this reunion. And then, as if drawn by the intensity of the connection between them, Gustav lowered his head, and Angy tilted her face upward.

Their lips met in a kiss that was electric—full of pent-up emotion, relief, and the kind of longing that only comes from months of separation in the face of danger.

The kiss was soft at first, but it deepened quickly as both of them leaned into the moment, their hearts beating in sync with the pulse of the universe around them.

The warmth of their embrace, the way their lips moved together, the way time seemed to stand still—it was as if, for that brief moment, they were the only two people in existence.

When they finally pulled apart, breathless but smiling, the world around them came rushing back—dark fissures, ominous mist, and all. But something had shifted in that moment. The connection they had shared, the bond between them, was stronger than ever.

Angy let out a soft laugh, her hands still resting on his chest. ”You donʼt know how much Iʼve been waiting for that,” she teased, her eyes sparkling despite the darkness surrounding them.

Gustav, his hand still resting gently on the back of her neck, smiled back at her—a rare and genuine smile that made the tension in his face disappear for a moment. ”Neither did I,” he admitted, his voice low and sincere.

But as the warmth of their reunion began to fade back into the reality of the situation, the urgency of their mission came crashing down on them again. Gustavʼs expression shifted, his eyes turning serious once more. He glanced at the dark fissure beside them, then back at Angy.

”Things have gotten worse since I was back here,” his tone was heavy with concern. ”Falcoʼs father influence on this world is deeper. The seal is weakening, and one of the soldiers who returned from the dark plane is behind how things are worsening. Theyʼre doing Nocturnisʼs bidding here on Earth.”

Angyʼs smile faded. ”So thatʼs why the fissures are spreading faster, and the dark mist… itʼs getting more dangerous by the hour. Weʼve been trying to save as many people as we can, but the corruption… itʼs spreading too quickly. There will be nowhere that is safe on Earth of this continues.”

Gustavʼs gaze returned to the fissure as his brow furrowed in thought. ”We have to find whoeverʼs responsible. If we donʼt stop them soon, Nocturnis will break free, and when he does…” He trailed off, knowing that the consequences of Nocturnisʼs full power being unleashed on the mortal plane were too horrific to imagine. Especially when he hadnʼt regained his full power as the Outworldly.

The overseerʼs release was an even more terrifying thought.

Angy clenched her fists, ready to act at a momentʼs notice. ”Then we stop them. We find whoever it is, and we end this.”

Gustav nodded. ”Iʼll take care of the fissures first.”

Swwwhiisshh~

Gustav figure vanished from sight instantly.

The air around Earth crackled with a dark, oppressive energy. The fissures, massive gashes in the planetʼs surface, oozed dark mist and malevolent energy, corroding everything they touched.

The sky itself seemed bruised, with streaks of unnatural darkness cutting through it, as if the heavens were bleeding. In the distance, across cities and landscapes, the cracks were spreading, a sign of the impending disaster that threatened to consume the world.

Gustav stood in the midst of it all, hovering above the epicenter of one of the largest fissures. His eyes glowed with an intense cosmic energy as he took in the scene. He could feel the Outworldly power thrumming within him despite it being only a fraction.

Angy stood nearby, watching him with concern but also with unwavering faith. She had seen him do incredible things before, but even this was beyond what she had witnessed.

The dark fissures were almost everywhere, tearing apart cities and lands. They were spreading too quickly.

Gustav took a deep breath, centering himself.

”Itʼs time,” he muttered to himself, his voice low but filled with resolve.

Without another word, Gustav focused his energy. He floated a few feet higher into the air, his arms stretching out to either side as the cosmic energy within him began to swell.

The atmosphere around him shifted, the oppressive dark mist recoiling slightly as his power started to build. The sky above seemed to ripple, as if it were being rewritten, the clouds parting to reveal the stars far beyond.

His Outworldly power surged, radiating outward in waves, enveloping him in a soft, ethereal glow. This wasnʼt just any power—it was the energy of a being who once held sway over the very fabric of the universe. His presence caused the ground below him to quake, and the cracks, though still present, began to react to his power, writhing as if in pain.

”Now, letʼs seal these once and for all,” Gustav voice echoed with cosmic resonance.

He lowered both hands toward the fissures below. His palms glowed with brilliant light, and the energy he had been building was unleashed in a series of blinding pulses. Beams of light shot from his hands, striking the fissures with pinpoint accuracy.

As the energy made contact with the fissures, a ripple spread across the ground, the dark mist hissing and evaporating as it came into contact with the Outworldly energy.

The fissures, which had been growing wider with each passing moment, began to shrink, their jagged edges knitting themselves together as Gustavʼs energy poured into them. The dark corruption that had plagued the earth began to recede, pulled inward by the sheer force of Gustavʼs will.

He floated higher as his power extending further as he spread his arms wide. More fissures, miles away, responded to his cosmic energy. They trembled, the dark mist swirling violently as if trying to resist, but Gustavʼs power was too strong. One by one, the fissures across the planet began to close, their gaping mouths sealing as though they had never existed.

From the mountains to the cities, from the vast deserts to the oceans, fissures across the world were being sealed by his energy. It was as if the earth itself was being mended, healed by the power of the Outworldly.

Angy watched in awe as the cracks closed up. His power wasnʼt just affecting the ground—it was affecting the very fabric of reality. The air around her felt lighter, cleaner, as if the corruption that had plagued the world was being washed away.

As the last of the fissures sealed shut, Gustav lowered his hands slightly as the glow around him faded. But his work wasnʼt done yet. The dark fissures might have been sealed, but the crack in space, the rift that had formed above the planet, was still there. And it was even more dangerous.

Gustav floated upward, moving higher into the atmosphere until he was suspended far above Earth, staring directly at the crack in space.

The rift was a tear in the very essence of reality, created by Nocturnisʼs growing influence. It was a gaping wound, pulsating with dark energy, and from it, the tendrils of corruption reached out toward the planet, threatening to consume it.

His cosmic energy began to surge again, but this time, he wasnʼt just drawing on the power within himself—he was pulling from the very cosmic dimensional web that he had once woven to protect the universe.
