One by one, the deities approached the chalice, each one drawing forth a drop of their blood and allowing it to fall into the vessel.

The dark lordʼs blood was an inky black, swirling with shadows. Ignaraʼs blood was a fiery red, crackling with energy. Oceanaʼs blood was a shimmering blue, fluid and radiant.

Other deities that embodied aspects like space, time, matter and many others, also drew a drop of blood as well.

When it was the humanoid deityʼs turn, he stepped forward with a calm determination. Instead of his own blood, he discreetly put a drop of Slarkov blood in with chalice, causing the mortal blood to mingle with that of the deities.

Finally, the Overseer approached, their form radiating divine authority. They allowed a drop of their own blood to fall into the chalice, completing the ritual.

The chalice glowed with a brilliant light, the combined essence of the deities and the Slarkov blood merging into a new, extraordinary being.

The overseer activated a particular power to properly regulate the creation.

As the light intensified, a figure began to form within the chalice, rising from the divine mixture.

It went from infancy to being full grown in just a matter of moments.

Soon appeared a being of unparalleled beauty and power with a form that had ths perfect blend of all the deitiesʼ traits.

The Outworldly stood tall and resplendent at the center of the grand assembly of deities, his very presence commanding awe and reverence.

The Outworldlyʼs physical appearance was a striking blend of all the deitiesʼ attributes, yet with an added dimension on his forehead that made him unique.

His form was both ethereal and solid, radiating a soft, golden light that seemed to pulse with the energy of the cosmos itself.

His eyes were a deep, swirling mix of colors—blues, greens, and golds—reflecting the vastness of space and the complexity of creation.

His hair flowed like liquid stardust, shimmering as it cascaded over his shoulders, and his skin was a flawless, luminous white, almost too perfect to belong to any single being.

He was adorned in robes of celestial fabric that seemed to shift and change with every movement, displaying the constellations and galaxies within them.

The deities watched him intently with skepticism, and, for some, a tinge of unease. The Outworldly stood in the center of the vast cosmic chamber, where stars glittered like diamonds above, and the very floor beneath them seemed to be woven from the fabric of time itself.

The deities watched in awe as the Outworldly stood before them.

The Outworldly had developed almost immediately becoming a conscious, intelligent and very powerful being.

The dark lord, his shadowy form seething with barely-contained malice, was the first to speak. ”Outworldly, you are born of our essence. Surely, you understand that the natural order of the cosmos includes our conflicts. We are the forces of creation and destruction, and our battles shape the very fabric of existence. You cannot forbid us from exercising our nature.”

Ignara, her fiery mane crackling with energy, nodded in agreement. ”We are not meant to be bound by restrictions, Outworldly. Our power is what drives the cosmos forward. To limit us is to deny the natural progression of creation and destruction.”

The Outworldly listened to their words, his expression calm but resolute. His voice, when he spoke, was a harmonious blend of strength and gentleness, a sound that seemed to resonate with the very core of the cosmos. ”It is true that you are the forces of creation and destruction, and that your power shapes the universe.

However, your unchecked conflicts have caused immense suffering, not only among yourselves but also among the mortals who inhabit the worlds you govern. I cannot allow this to continue.”

The deities exchanged uneasy glances. Nocturnis spoke once again. ”Outworldly, you were born from our essence. You are one of us. How can you choose the mortals wellbeing over the views of your own kind? We are eternal, while mortals are fleeting.

Their lives are insignificant compared to the vastness of existence.”

The Outworldlyʼs eyes glowed with a deep, understanding light. ”I am indeed born of your essence, but I am also born of the essence of mortals. This mortal blood within me inclines me to protect them, for their lives, though brief, have meaning and value. They are part of the construct of existence, and their suffering cannot be ignored.”

The deities were taken aback by this revelation.

They had never considered that the Outworldly might have a connection to mortals, let alone be inclined to protect them.

Ignaraʼs flames flared with disbelief. ”Mortal blood? How is this possible? We did not include the essence of mortals in the ritual!”

The Outworldly nodded. ”It was included, though not by your design. It was the blood of a Slarkov, a mortal species with a deep connection to the cosmos. This blood has merged with your essence to create a being that embodies both divine and mortal qualities. This makes me uniquely suited to understand the importance of balance and to ensure that all life, divine and mortal, is protected.”

The Overseer, who had remained silent until now, observed the Outworldly and then turned to the humanoid deity; ”What did you do?”

”I made a decision knowing that if I hadnʼt, the Outworldly views will be biased and conditioned to favour the deities. I do not deny that the mortal blood inclusion is my doing,”

Chatter! Chatter! Chatter!

-”You self righteous buffoon!”

-”He is to blame for this!”

-”He has betrayed us,”

-”We should punish him for this,”

The deities reacted in all manner of ways after the revelation. One tried to approach the humanoid deity with malicious intent but the Outworldly stopped him.

”There was no specific rule against the inclusion of mortal blood so he has done nothing wrong. No punishment shall befall him,” The Outworldly words were like mandates.

The deities found themselves being bound and weakened whenever he spoke which made them pause in their tracks.

”Thank you,” the humanoid deity thanked the Outworldly.

”Right now, I am only concerned about the balance which is why I was created in the first place. I shall serve my purpose,” The Outworldly stated.

While most of the deities were still reeking with rage and malicious intent, the overseer accepted the current situation. There was nothing that could be done about it anyways... Not right now at least.

”What do you propose to ensure this balance and protection you speak of?” The overseer voiced.

The Outworldly raised his hand, and a tangible force of power rippled through the surroundings. ”From this moment forward, deities are forbidden to engage in physical clashes. These battles have caused too much damage and have threatened the very balance of the cosmos. If there are disagreements, they must be resolved through verbal discourse, not through violence.”

A wave of shock and disbelief swept through the assembly. The deities, who had always known only the language of power and combat, were incensed by this decree.

The dark lord snarled as his shadowy form rolled with anger. ”You cannot dictate how we resolve our conflicts, Outworldly! We are the embodiments of primal forces, and to deny us our nature is to deny the very essence of existence!”

The Outworldlyʼs gaze remained steady as he spoke with an unyielding tone. ”I am not denying your nature. I am redefining the ways in which you can express it. Your power is undeniable, but with great power comes great responsibility. The time has come to channel that power in ways that do not bring unnecessary suffering to others.”

The dark lord snarled in defiance. ”Why should we heed this decree?” he growled, his eyes burning with malevolence. ”The mortals are beneath us. Their lives mean nothing.”

Ignaraʼs flames roared with fury. ”You overstep your bounds, Outworldly! We will not be bound by your laws!”

The Outworldlyʼs eyes flashed with an intense light, and the very fabric of the cosmos seemed to tremble. ”These are not just laws. They are decrees that will shape the future of existence. And they will be enforced.”

The tension in the surroundings reached a breaking point. One of the deities, a massive being of pure elemental force, surged forward, attempting to clamp down on the Outworldly with a hand of crackling energy. ”You dare to challenge us? You are a child born of our essence! We will not be controlled by you!”

Without hesitation, the Outworldly raised his hand, and an unimaginable force exploded outward, freezing the attacking deity in place.

The sheer power displayed was beyond anything the assembly had ever witnessed. The deity, despite their overwhelming strength and titanic size was held immobilized by a force that dwarfed their own.

The Outworldlyʼs voice rang out, firm and resolute, as his eyes glowed with a power that surpassed even that of the Overseer. ”I am more than the sum of your parts. I am the embodiment of balance, the protector of all life within the cosmos. My power is not to be questioned, and my decrees will be obeyed.”
