---------------------

For decades, the Outworldly worked tirelessly to restore the cosmic dimensional webs. His power spread through the cosmos, weaving the threads of reality with a domination that only he could command.

Each thread of the web shimmered with a different hue, vibrating with the energy of the cosmos itself. It was a colossal task; every thread held the balance of countless worlds, each woven to protect the mortal plane from the chaotic whims of divine intervention.

He poured his power into the webs, reinforcing them to be stronger, more resilient than ever before. As he worked, time flowed differently. What seemed like mere moments to Ellias was decades for the mortal plane.

The mortal realm, blissfully unaware of the titanic battles fought on their behalf, continued to thrive. On countless planets, life flourished, civilizations rose and fell, and the cycle of existence continued uninterrupted.

The skies remained clear, the stars unperturbed. Peace reigned over the mortal plane, but they were ignorant of the silent guardian who toiled ceaselessly to maintain that peace.

While Ellias worked, the celestial part of the cosmos had become an eerie, empty void. The deities who had once populated it were gone, their consciousnesses dissolved or their existences erased.

Only two beings remained: Ellias himself, and Nocturnis, who was sealed away in his self-imposed prison of darkness, forever banished from meddling with the mortal or celestial realms again.

But there was one more—one being who had yet to face the aftermath of what had transpired. The Overseer.

The Overseer, the one deity who had presided over all others long before Ellias came into existence, resided in a dimension of his own making, a realm of pure light and unfiltered cosmic wisdom.

He was the ancient watcher, a presence who had seen eons pass and who held dominion over all deities. Although the humanoid deity had invited him to join in at the time of their plot, he refused. He stayed away from it all and this was the reason the Outworldly and the overseer never had a confrontation.

When the overseer finally emerged from his dimension to survey the cosmos, his immense, titanic form shimmered with a radiant energy that eclipsed galaxies.

As he moved through the void, his very presence made the fabric of space tremble. When he saw the desolate expanse where deities once thrived, suspicion washed over him like a tidal wave.

His eyes narrowed, and the stars themselves seemed to dim. The Overseer turned his colossal form toward the Outworldly who was still weaving the cosmic dimensional webs, unaware of the Overseerʼs arrival.

”Outworldly!” The Overseerʼs voice boomed, a powerful resonance that echoed across the entire cosmos, shaking the foundations of stars and planets. ”What has transpired here?”

The Outworldly turned, his form steady and calm, though his eyes glinted with the awareness of what was to come. The energy of the restored webs still coursed around him, threads glowing brightly in the background. ”Overseer,” he replied, his voice deep and unyielding. ”I see you have returned from your solitude.”

The Overseerʼs colossal figure moved closer, his eyes blazing with an intensity that rivaled supernovae. ”You dare speak to me in such a tone after what you have done? Where are the deities? Where is my daughter, Selara?”

The Outworldlyʼs expression remained composed. ”The deities betrayed their purpose,” he answered, his voice firm. ”They sought to unravel the cosmic dimensional webs, to upend the balance I have maintained. They faced the consequences of their actions. Your daughter, Selara, was among them.”

The Overseerʼs form seemed to expand, his light growing blinding. ”Consequences?” he thundered. ”You dared to purge her, my own daughter, without my knowledge? You dared to decide her fate?”

The Outworldlyʼs eyes met the Overseerʼs without wavering. ”She chose her path,” he said, his voice a steady rumble. ”She knew the cost of siding with the usurpers. I spared none of them, and I will not undo what has been done.”

The Overseerʼs multitude of eyes narrowed, his voice now a dangerous whisper that rippled through the cosmos. ”You forget your place, Outworldly. You may hold power, but you do not have the authority to erase my bloodline. I am the Overseer, the one who watched over the celestials long before your creation.”

The Outworldlyʼs gaze sharpened. ”Your authority does not grant you immunity from the consequences of betrayal,” he replied. ”The cosmic order you claim to command has been violated, and I have restored it. I will not be swayed by your threats.”

The Overseerʼs form pulsed with anger, his eyes flashing with the light of a thousand suns. ”You will bring her back,” he commanded, his voice a deep, rumbling growl. ”You will restore Selara, or I swear, I will unravel every thread youʼve woven, and all hell will break loose across the cosmos!”

The Outworldlyʼs own aura flared in response, the cosmic dimensional webs around him shimmering with renewed brilliance. His expression hardened, his eyes narrowing with a cold resolve. ”The deed is done, Overseer,” he said, his voice like steel. ”I will not undo what I have justly decided. Your threats mean nothing to me. I will not bend to your will.”

The Overseerʼs fury erupted. ”So be it,” he roared, his voice causing stars to flicker and tremble. ”You challenge me, Outworldly? I, who have existed long before you were even conceived?”

”I do not challenge you, Overseer,” The Outworldly replied. ”I merely uphold the laws of the cosmos. If you wish to defy the balance I have restored, then prepare yourself. You will find me more than willing to defend it.”

A tense silence fell over the void, the cosmos holding its breath. The Overseerʼs form continued to swell, his light becoming almost unbearable. Energy crackled around him like a storm of pure radiance, and his eyes burned with the wrath of an ancient deity unchallenged for eons.

”You are a fool, Outworldly,” the Overseerʼs voice echoed with disdain. ”You believe yourself the arbiter of the cosmos, but you are merely a child wielding a power you cannot fully comprehend. You have overstepped, and now you will face the true fury of the cosmos.”

Elliasʼs stance remained resolute, his cosmic aura steady and undeterred. ”And you, Overseer, believe yourself beyond reproach. But even you are not above the laws I created to govern the balance. The balance must be maintained, and I will see to it that it is.”

The space between them began to vibrate with the intensity of their clashing auras. The stars around them seemed to dim and flicker as the two titans of cosmic power squared off, their energies creating ripples in the very fabric of reality.

”So, it has come to this,” the Overseer muttered, his voice now a deep, resonant growl that could be felt across the stars. ”Very well, Outworldly. Prepare yourself. You will regret the day you dared defy me.”

The Outworldlyʼs eyes narrowed, and his aura flared with an even greater intensity. ”then so be it. Let the cosmos bear witness to this clash. I will not falter in my duty.”

The void between them seemed to thrum with anticipation, the very cosmos trembling at the impending confrontation. The ancient, celestial energies of the Overseer collided with the unyielding force of the true Outworldly, creating a tension that could be felt across the farthest reaches of reality.

With a flash of light, their clash began. The first collision of their cosmic might sent shockwaves rippling through the universe.

The force of their impact was so great that stars in nearby galaxies flared and died, their light snuffed out as if they were mere candles in a storm.

Reality itself seemed to buckle under the weight of their battle. Planets quaked, their surfaces cracking and crumbling; entire solar systems shivered and shifted from the sheer force despite the cosmic dimensional webs.

On countless worlds, beings looked up at the sky, feeling a deep, instinctual fear, sensing the cataclysmic struggle occurring far beyond their sight.

The Overseer struck first... He extended one of his many limbs, a colossal beam of pure, radiant energy firing from his hand, aimed directly at the Outworldly. The beam tore through space, slicing through the very fabric of reality like a hot knife through butter.

The Outworldly raised a hand and summoned a barrier of cosmic force.

The beam collided with the barrier, and for a moment, it seemed as though it would hold. But the sheer power behind the Overseerʼs attack caused cracks to form in the barrier, and it shattered with a deafening roar. The Outworldly was forced back, his form flickering like a damaged star.

”You see, Outworldly,” the Overseer intoned, his voice reverberating with an ancient authority. ”I was not called the Overseer for nothing. My power comes not just from might, but from the ability to adapt, to become more than what I was. Even now, I grow stronger.”
