------------

The Outworldly connection to the cosmos began to flicker. The seals were not just binding his power—they were severing him from his very essence.

ʼI should have known...ʼ

The cosmic seals tightened further around the Outworldly, their invisible chains pulling on his very essence, draining his strength with every passing second.

His radiant form flickered and dimmed as his power ebbed away. The humanoid deity stood before him with a smug smile on his face as he began to chant. His voice resonated across the cosmos, vibrating with a dark, melodic rhythm that sent ripples through the very fabric of existence.

As the chanting grew louder, the Outworldlyʼs mind was suddenly hit by a vision—a vivid and terrifying glimpse into a future where the humanoid deity ruled with unchecked power.

He saw timelines unraveling, threads of fate twisting and tangling into a chaotic knot of destruction. Galaxies collapsing, stars exploding into supernovae, entire worlds engulfed in endless wars as the deities, freed from their restraints, clashed with abandon.

Mortals suffered under the whims of capricious gods as their lives were snuffed out like mere candles in a storm.

ʼNo…ʼ The Outworldlyʼs thoughts raced as he struggled against the binds. ʼThis cannot come to pass.ʼ

The humanoid deity continued his chant, and as he did, the worlds that revered him began to glow—each one a beacon of devotion that fueled the ritual.

The skies above those planets shimmered with unnatural light, and a surge of energy began to flow toward the humanoid deity, his form becoming brighter and more imposing with each second.

”You feel it, donʼt you?” the humanoid deity taunted, his voice a triumphant echo that seemed to come from everywhere and nowhere at once. ”The power of belief, the strength of reverence. It is all flowing to me now. Soon, you will be nothing but a fragment of what you once were, and I will be the supreme ruler of all.”

The Outworldly gritted his teeth. His body trembled as he fought against the cosmic seals. His divine essence, though greatly weakened, still burned with an intensity unmatched in the cosmos. ”I will not let you turn the universe into a playground of destruction!” his roar resonated like a thousand thunderclaps across the endless void.

With a mighty effort, the Outworldly summoned the remnants of his power, and the cosmos itself seemed to shudder in response.

Stars quivered, and galaxies trembled as he unleashed a barrage of galactic abilities. Massive arcs of celestial energy tore through space, burning with the light of a thousand suns.

The humanoid deityʼs eyes widened as the Outworldly, despite his bindings, launched himself forward, his body blazing with raw, untamed power.

The two collided, and the impact sent shockwaves rippling across the universe. Planets were displaced, and the very fabric of space-time warped under the strain of their clash.

Hundreds of black holes threatened to suck everything away and yet they stood in reverence as nothing before the great Outworldly.

The humanoid deity retaliated, summoning his own divine power to counter the Outworldlyʼs attacks. But despite his growing strength, he quickly realized that even in his weakened state, the Outworldly was still a force to be reckoned with.

Boom!

Every strike from the Outworldly tore through his defenses like a comet crashing through a fragile barrier.

”You are a fool to think you could ever wield my power,” the Outworldly voice boomed with fury. ”I am the embodiment of balance, the guardian of all realms. Your greed will be your undoing!”

A massive wave of energy exploded from the Outworldlyʼs hand, cutting through space like a cosmic blade. The humanoid deity barely managed to deflect it, the force sending him spinning back through the void.

Gritting his teeth, the humanoid deity knew he couldnʼt keep this up alone. His earlier confidence wavered as he felt the sheer difference in their power, even with the ritual weakening the Outworldly.

ʼHe barely has a third of his strength and yet it outweighs mine. If I was going against him at full strength, my existence would long have been extinguished.ʼ

He raised his hand, his voice a desperate call. ”To me, my allies! If I fall here, everything we have planned will crumble to dust!”

In an instant, the vast emptiness of the cosmos was filled with a sparkling array of lights as the other deities answered his call.

Hundreds of powerful beings with forms towering like colossal titans, some as large as planets and others as vast as galaxies, materialized around the Outworldly.

The cosmos became a battlefield of unimaginable scale, with the Outworldly standing at the center of it all.

Nocturnis shadowy form expanded to encompass entire star systems while he lunged forward with his tendrils of darkness coiling around the Outworldly. ”Your time has come, Outworldly!” he hissed, his voice like a low growl reverberating through the fabric of space.

Ignara joined the assault, her flames blazing with the heat of a billion stars. ”We will not be shackled by your laws any longer!” she cried while launching torrents of searing fire that spiraled toward the Outworldly.

Oceana, the Keeper of the Seas, summoned a tidal wave of cosmic waters, crashing through the void with the force of a thousand tsunamis. ”This universe needs change, and you cannot stop it!”

The scene was pure chaos. The Outworldly was now taking on hundreds of deities, each one unleashing their full might against him.

The combined force of their attacks would have annihilated entire galaxies, yet he stood his ground. His form, though still chained by the cosmic seals, blazed with the last remnants of his power.

The deities bodies shimmered with celestial energy as they pressed down on him. Their sheer numbers were overwhelming even for the Outworldly.

Massive hands, tendrils, and claws struck him from all sides. Elemental forces—fire, water, earth, and air—collided and exploded in a symphony of destruction. Stars were obliterated in the crossfire, and nebulae were torn apart by the shockwaves of their blows.

Yet, even as he was beaten back, the Outworldlyʼs resolve did not waver. He fought with every ounce of his remaining strength, his divine form shimmering with a fading yet brilliant light. ”If I fall, the universe falls,” he growled while unleashing a burst of cosmic energy that sent several deities reeling. ”I will not let this universe fall to chaos!”

He lunged at some of them with blazing hands, drilling through their existence with force that couldnʼt be reckoned with. He grabbed another Deityʼs head and sucked him into a place of nothingness.

Many deities were unable to handle him in a one on one and met their ends right there.

However, despite his efforts, the deitiesʼ combined power was proving to be too much.

Slowly, they began to push him back, pinning him down under the weight of their assault. The humanoid deityʼs ritual continued, and the transfer of power started to accelerate.

”Keep pushing!” the humanoid deity commanded, his voice resonating with a dark authority. ”We are almost there! Soon, the Outworldly will be no more!”

The Outworldly could feel the transfer starting to pull at his core, the very essence of his being beginning to unravel. But he refused to give in. *If this is the end, then I will make it one they will never forget,* he thought, his mind racing with desperation.

With a final, desperate surge of power, the Outworldly unleashed a blinding explosion of cosmic light, blasting away the deities that held him.

For a brief moment, he stood free as his body blazed like a supernova. His voice echoed with a deep, primal force that shook the cosmos to its core. ”It will not end here!”

But the deities were relentless. They quickly regrouped, and surged forward with combined might. The humanoid deityʼs chant reached a fever pitch, his form glowing with a blinding light as the ritual neared its completion.

The Outworldly, now weakened beyond measure, could feel his consciousness beginning to fade, his essence being torn apart.

The cosmic seals tightened like a noose around his soul, drawing the last of his strength away. His vision blurred, the radiant light of his being dimming into darkness.

The deities roared in unison, their voices filled with triumph. The universe trembled under their combined power, and the ritual began to finalize.

”Almost... there,” the humanoid deity murmured in exhilaration. ”The power of the Outworldly is mine.”

The Outworldly essence faded as be whispered a final thought to the cosmos.

And then, everything went dark.

”Is that it?”

”Did it work?”

”Is he...?”

The voices of the deities whose energy were exerted from battling the Outworldly could be heard in the background.

The Outworldly form was turning translucent and slowly fading out of existence.

However, they still needed to confirm if they had won. No one had expected that even fighting a weakened version of the Outworldly would be so cumbersome so they wanted to be sure he wasnʼt going to pull anything out of his ass and take them by surprise.

”It is done... I am now the Outworldly.”
