Peerless Bodyguard of a Stunning Beauty

Listening to the immense noise and feeling the massive airflow, Zhao Rong cursed internally, ”What idiot is flying a helicopter around aimlessly? Such a mood killer.”

Just as Zhao Rong was swearing, his assistant, who was sprawled on the ground vomiting and suffering from diarrhea, suddenly looked up at the sky and screamed in surprise, ”Oh my God, it’s a UFO!”

Having remained inside the Magic Ring, Yu Lan and Xuelian had never seen a flying saucer before. When they looked up, they panicked and shouted, ”There are aliens! They must be here to destroy the Earth! We have to run!”

Meanwhile, Zhao Rong watched as the flying saucer slowly descended. Could the Thousand Year Old Demon be back? he couldn’t help but wonder.

At that moment, the flying saucer landed in front of them. Once it had settled firmly on the ground, the Thousand Year Old Demon walked out alone.

Seeing that the alien emerging from the flying saucer was really the Thousand Year Old Demon, Zhao Rong waved excitedly and called out, ”Thousand Year Old Demon, did you just pass through the atmosphere, realize you forgot to give us the Rush Gate Pills, and hurry back?”

After speaking, Zhao Rong glanced at his watch. From the time the Thousand Year Old Demon left Earth in his flying saucer to his reappearance, it’s probably only been about ten minutes.

Compared to the surprise of Zhao Rong and his group, the Thousand Year Old Demon seemed even more astonished. He jumped down from the flying saucer and stared, dumbfounded, at everyone before him. In a voice full of disbelief, he said, ”I had just returned to Planet F when a war broke out. And I, the Thousand Year Old Demon, was unfortunately dragged into it!

”That war on Planet F was just like your World War II on Earth… The fighting was extremely brutal and lasted for an incredibly long time. If I’m not mistaken, the war went on for a full 1,000 years! Yesterday, it finally ended with a victory for the side of justice, and as an ordinary soldier, I was discharged.

”After I was discharged, I immediately took a flying saucer and came back to Earth alone. I assumed that after 1,000 years, Earth would have changed completely. I thought everything would be unrecognizable, and you all might have been in your graves for many years. But I never expected that you’ve all lived for a thousand years too, and you still look so young! What shocks me even more is that you’re all still standing right here, waiting for my return…”

As he spoke, the Thousand Year Old Demon knelt, buried his head in his hands, and wept bitterly.

Listening to the demon’s story, Zhao Rong found it utterly incredible. He immediately pointed to the watch on his wrist and said, ”Thousand Year Old Demon, are you hallucinating? I checked the time right after you boarded the flying saucer and left Earth. It was 3:30 PM then, and now it’s 3:41 PM. It’s only been eleven minutes since you left and came back, yet you’re saying 1,000 years have passed?”

Hearing this, the Thousand Year Old Demon immediately stood up. He walked toward Zhao Rong, his voice laced with fear as he asked, ”What did you say? Are you telling me 1,000 years haven’t passed, but only about ten minutes?”

Zhao Rong looked at the demon, placed the back of his hand on his forehead to check his temperature, then slapped him twice. ”You’re fine. It really has only been about ten minutes.”

The Thousand Year Old Demon snatched the watch from Zhao Rong’s left wrist and tried to recall the war on Planet F. He trembled with a mixture of fear and disbelief. ”How could it have only been ten minutes? That war clearly lasted for more than a thousand years before it ended! At the time, I was so relieved I hadn’t brought Ghost King Wang Huazi to my planet. Otherwise, we would have been forcibly conscripted the moment we stepped off the saucer and forced to fight in that horrific interstellar war…”

Miss Lili asked from the side, ”Thousand Year Old Demon, did you come alone this time?”

Zhao Rong chimed in, ”What about the rest of your team?”

Hearing this, the Thousand Year Old Demon thought back on the cruel war he had experienced and said sorrowfully, ”Little Wang, Little Liu, Little Bai, Little Li, Little Zhang… they all died in that harsh war. I’m the only one from the entire flying saucer crew left alive…”

The assistant commented from the side, ”You’re so badass, you can pilot a flying saucer all by yourself.”

The Thousand Year Old Demon explained, ”After the brutal trials of war, it wasn’t just the killing machines that evolved; our transport, the flying saucer, also saw huge advancements. In the past, it took a team of more than a dozen people to pilot one, but now, a single person is all it takes.”

Having said that, the Thousand Year Old Demon looked at Ghost King Wang Huazi standing nearby. He strode over, pulled him into a tight embrace, and said through his tears, ”Huazi, I thought I was going to die in the war… Even if I survived by some miracle, a war that lasted 1,000 years left me completely disheartened, even desperate. When I came back to Earth this time, I was planning to just leave a bouquet of flowers on your graves. I never imagined you’d all still be alive, and so happy…”

Wang Huazi looked back at the Thousand Year Old Demon and said, ”To be honest, I didn’t think I would ever see you again either. I am a ghost, and my Yin energy is only enough to sustain me for a few more months. After that, I will fade away and disappear from the universe forever. But I never expected that just ten minutes after you left, you would have already returned from Planet F.”

It turned out that Ghost King Wang Huazi had been harboring a huge secret: his life was down to its last few months. He had thought his last parting with the Thousand Year Old Demon would be their final farewell, but he never imagined that the ”1,000 years” the demon spoke of would pass so quickly—in just about ten minutes.

At this realization, the two similarly doomed souls began to kiss passionately.

After the kiss, the Thousand Year Old Demon looked at Wang Huazi and said, ”I don’t care if it’s been 1,000 years or just ten minutes. This time, I’m here to take you back with me to Planet F and turn you into a human.”

Worried, Wang Huazi asked, ”Do the laws on Planet F still forbid outsiders?”

The Thousand Year Old Demon replied, ”1,000 years have passed. Those laws are obsolete on Planet F now. In fact, Planet F now welcomes people from other planets in the universe to come and help rebuild. The cruel, 1,000-year war caused most of the original inhabitants of Planet F to perish. Because of that, a severe labor shortage is holding back our economic development.”

Having said this, the Thousand Year Old Demon suddenly turned to Zhao Rong, the assistant, Miss Lili, Yu Lan, and Xuelian, who were standing nearby. ”If any of you want to go to Planet F, you can all come with me on my flying saucer.”

Hearing the offer to go to another planet, Zhao Rong shook his head. ”I’m actually an alien too, believe it or not. I just traveled from Earth to this parallel world. I haven’t had enough of Xijing City yet, so for now, I don’t want to go to your Planet F.”

Hearing that Zhao Rong wasn’t going to Planet F, Miss Lili, Yu Lan, and Xuelian, who were standing behind him, also said in unison, ”Since Brother Zhao Rong isn’t going to Planet F, the three of us won’t go either. Thousand Year Old Demon, we appreciate the kind offer. Thank you.”

Just as the Thousand Year Old Demon was processing the fact that no one wanted to go with him to the more developed, more advanced, and more humane Planet F with its higher standard of living, the assistant immediately stood up and introduced himself. ”Hello, Alien. My name is Assistant. I’m willing to go with you to Planet F to participate in your economic reconstruction. I’d love to get a good job, earn a decent salary, marry a beautiful wife, and enjoy a cozy family life.”

Upon hearing the assistant’s willingness to go to Planet F, the Thousand Year Old Demon immediately stepped forward, took his hand, and said, ”Absolutely! Anyone from another planet will instantly receive a Planet F green card upon arrival and become a formal citizen.”

Thrilled that he could go to Planet F and start a new life, the assistant happily moved closer to the Thousand Year Old Demon. Breathing on him as he spoke, he said, ”That’s wonderful! I really want to go somewhere new and start an exciting life. Since you’re so short on people there, I’ll get in the flying saucer with you right now and we can go to your planet!”

Because the assistant had accidentally consumed a dung beetle’s pellet, his breath was particularly foul when he spoke. Though the Thousand Year Old Demon wanted to invite him, he recoiled at the overpowering halitosis and said with embarrassment, ”Assistant, I forgot to tell you… we have a rather peculiar law on Planet F.”

The assistant said, displeased, ”What, does Planet F prohibit ugly men from entering? I may be considered unattractive on Earth, but compared to an alien like you with a big head, a thin neck, short legs, and a long body, I’m a pretty handsome man, aren’t I? I refuse to believe I’d be the ugliest man on your planet and become such an eyesore that I’d be breaking the law.”

Struggling to find the right words, the Thousand Year Old Demon said, ”Assistant, you misunderstand me. I’m not saying you’re ugly. I’m talking about your bad breath… The ozone layer on Planet F is particularly thin, so we have a very strict law: anyone with bad breath is immediately expelled from the planet.”

The assistant normally had bad breath, but today, thanks to the dung beetle pellet, it was even more potent—comparable to hydrogen sulfide.

Hearing this, the assistant said, on the verge of tears, ”You’re trying to drag people who don’t want to go, but someone like me who actually wants to is barred by the law. This is so damn frustrating!”

Just then, as the Thousand Year Old Demon took Wang Huazi’s hand and prepared to board the flying saucer, Zhao Rong called out, ”Thousand Year Old Demon, please wait! I need the rest of your Rush Gate Pills. I’ve only managed to craft a single one, but there are thousands of cursed students at the Ghost Hunting Academy. Every one of them needs a Rush Gate Pill, or their bodies will rot and they will die.”

Hearing Zhao Rong’s words, the Thousand Year Old Demon suddenly looked apologetic. ”I was indeed carrying many Rush Gate Pills when I left… but after I returned to Planet F, I went through a 1,000-year war. During that war, I lost everything I had. Not just the Rush Gate Pills—even all of my photographs are gone, without a trace.”

Hearing that the Thousand Year Old Demon had no Rush Gate Pills left, Zhao Rong was suddenly at a complete loss.
