Peerless Bodyguard of a Stunning Beauty

Hearing that the student before him was Zhao Rong, the Laoshan Ghost-Hunting Instructor immediately spoke without courtesy. ”Damn it, so you’re Zhao Rong? I’ve been looking for you.”

Hearing the undisguised malice in the man’s voice, Zhao Rong immediately went on alert. ”Buddy, we’re complete strangers who just met by chance. We have no history and no grudge. What do you want with me?”

As he spoke, Zhao Rong shoved the Laoshan Ghost-Hunting Instructor aside. Since Zhao Rong was a Level 27 cultivator, the seemingly light push was enough to send the instructor sprawling to the floor. Zhao Rong then walked out of the restroom and onto the road outside.

The instructor, now sitting on the ground, watched Zhao Rong swagger out and cursed, ”Damn it! You’re a new student and you dare push an instructor over?”

Having already exited the restroom, Zhao Rong sneered. ”Not only am I going to push you instructors around, I’m going to beat you all up too.”

’Pushing them down’... maybe that wasn’t the best choice of words... Zhao Rong mused.

Hearing Zhao Rong’s mockery, the Laoshan Ghost-Hunting Instructor leaped out of the restroom. He strode toward Zhao Rong, saying, ”Kid, if I don’t teach you a lesson today, you won’t know how powerful I am.”

Hearing the instructor’s arrogant words, Zhao Rong, who had been about to leave, turned back, ready to deal with him.

However, the Vice Dean stopped him. ”Zhao Rong, don’t provoke this guy. He’s Dean Zhao Bo’s right-hand man. If you offend him, you offend the Dean himself. The consequences would be unthinkable...”

In the Ghost Hunting Academy, Dean Zhao Bo had four great protectors: the Zhengyi Ghost-Hunting Instructor, the Laoshan Ghost-Hunting Instructor, the Quanzhen Ghost-Hunting Instructor, and the Sanyi Ghost-Hunting Instructor. Although the Vice Dean’s position was technically higher than that of the four protectors, they were Dean Zhao Bo’s direct subordinates and held everyone else in contempt, including the Vice Dean. As the Dean’s minions, the four of them ran roughshod over the academy, acting with arrogant impunity, bullying men and preying on women.

Zhao Rong wasn’t the least bit intimidated. He took a step forward and said, ”Let’s see what you’ve got. Go on, show me your true colors. Or are you colorblind?” After speaking, he burst out laughing.

Hearing Zhao Rong’s insult, the Laoshan Ghost-Hunting Instructor said furiously, ”Zhao Rong, you’re completely lawless! On your first day at our Ghost Hunting Academy, you assaulted the Quanzhen Ghost-Hunting Instructor! On the second day, in the haunted villa, you not only let the vengeful ghost Xiao Ping escape, but you also humiliated and tortured the Sanyi Ghost-Hunting Instructor! Do you have a death wish?”

Hearing the threat, the Vice Dean quickly stepped forward again. ”Zhao Rong, compared to the Sanyi and Quanzhen instructors, this Laoshan instructor has a real trump card. We should just back down, apologize, and get out of here.”

By this point, a crowd of students had gathered around them, forming several deep circles. When they saw that Zhao Rong had provoked the academy’s notorious Laoshan Ghost-Hunting Instructor, they all gasped.

A student who had studied ghost-catching for three years but was still afraid of ghosts said pessimistically, ”This new guy dares to offend the Laoshan Ghost-Hunting Instructor? He must have a death wish. I bet when the instructor uses his trump card, the new guy is toast.”

Another student, a lazy slacker forced by his family to learn a trade, chimed in, certain of the outcome. ”The moment the Laoshan Ghost-Hunting Instructor makes his move, that brat is dead meat.”

A female student, who had achieved some success in ghost-catching, even stepped forward to warn him. ”Hey, classmate, don’t provoke him! He’s a really ruthless guy...”

Although the surrounding students were all pessimistic, with some even thinking he would be killed, Zhao Rong did the exact opposite. He charged right up to the Laoshan Ghost-Hunting Instructor and growled, ”Trash. If you want a fight, just spit it out.”

The Laoshan Ghost-Hunting Instructor, now looking extremely flustered with Zhao Rong grabbing his collar, smacked his hand away. ”Zhao Rong, I’m going to summon a fierce ghost right now and kill you!”

When Zhao Rong heard the instructor was going to summon a fierce ghost, he drove a heavy fist into the man’s stomach. ”Damn it, if you want to fight, then fight! Stop dilly-dallying. Here, let me give you a proper welcome...”

Clutching his stomach and spitting up sour bile, the instructor gritted out through the pain, ”A scholar can be killed, but not humiliated! You’ve gone too far...” With that, the Laoshan Ghost-Hunting Instructor began reciting a long incantation.

The moment he finished, a fierce ghost with a red beard, green eyes, and a ghastly, fanged face materialized and charged toward Zhao Rong.

When the crowd saw the Laoshan Ghost-Hunting Instructor use his trump card and summon a fierce ghost, they all broke out in a cold sweat for Zhao Rong.

A cute-looking boy covered his eyes and said dramatically, ”New guy, rest in peace. I’ll take good care of those three beauties you were with. Every Qingming Festival, I’ll bring them to sweep your grave...”

A girl who had no suitors but longed for love watched him with pity. ”Classmate, you know what they say: a wise man picks his battles. Why show off for a moment of glory and risk your life against the Laoshan Ghost-Hunting Instructor?”

Just as everyone was worrying about him, Zhao Rong casually tapped the Taoist robe he was wearing three times. ”Huazi, come on out. There’s an adorable ghost here for you to deal with...” With that said, and with the fierce ghost rushing toward him, Zhao Rong calmly sat down on a nearby bench and watched the show.

Seeing Zhao Rong just sitting on the bench waiting to die instead of fighting back, the assistant leaped in front of him, blocking the fierce ghost’s path. ”To think a fierce ghost would appear in broad daylight here in Wang Family Village! What a bizarre place... But I, his assistant, was born without a fear of ghosts! If you want to hurt Brother Zhao Rong, you’ll have to get through me first!”

The assistant spread his arms wide, shielding Zhao Rong. However, facing an assistant with absolutely no Ghost-Catching Skill, the fierce ghost simply charged, sending him flying before lunging at Zhao Rong with bared fangs and claws.

Seeing his summoned ghost pounce on Zhao Rong, the Laoshan Ghost-Hunting Instructor burst out laughing. ”With this one move, I can dominate anywhere! I’ve used this trump card to kill countless students who defied me, disobeyed me, or failed to bow and greet me on sight! Today, I’ll use the very same move to kill you!”

But just as the instructor was certain his ghost would deliver the killing blow, a woman in white suddenly appeared in the air. As the fierce ghost attacked, the woman simply extended her index finger and flicked. The ghost instantly disintegrated into nothingness. After eliminating the ghost, the woman in white vanished as quietly as she had appeared.

When the Laoshan Ghost-Hunting Instructor saw his summoned ghost get obliterated by a female ghost in white, he stared at Zhao Rong, his eyes wide with disbelief. ”Zhao Rong, you... you’re a new student! Who in the world are you? I thought that in this entire Ghost Hunting Academy, only someone as amazing as me, the Laoshan Ghost-Hunting Instructor, could summon a fierce ghost... But I never imagined that you, a new student, could summon one too... and the ghost you summoned is even stronger than mine!”

At that moment, Zhao Rong stood up, dusted himself off, and spoke with an air of profound mystery. ”I am a ghost catcher from Zhongnan Mountain. Compared to us, you so-called Sanyi, Quanzhen, Zhengyi, and Laoshan ghost catchers are nothing. We from Zhongnan Mountain have always been hermits, keeping to ourselves and not making waves. But today, when I see you four scumbags running rampant in the Ghost Hunting Academy, bullying and preying on others, I’ve decided it’s time for the Zhongnan Mountain ghost catchers to step forward. We’ll let you four idiots know that no matter how good you are, there’s always someone better. Your glory days won’t last forever. The four of you shouldn’t be so damn arrogant...”

With that, Zhao Rong rushed at the Laoshan Ghost-Hunting Instructor and delivered another vicious punch to his abdomen. This time, the force of the blow was so great that the instructor vomited pure bile.

Knocked to the ground by the heavy punch, the Laoshan Ghost-Hunting Instructor lay there, wailing in pain. ”Kid, you’ve only been here for two days and you’ve already brutalized our academy’s Four Great Ghost-Hunting Instructors! I’m going to report you to the Dean! I’ll have you expelled!”

Hearing this, Zhao Rong’s intentions changed. He had originally planned to just teach the man a lesson with a punch to the gut. But now, he realized that for someone this arrogant, a simple lesson wasn’t enough. He had to be much harsher. So, Zhao Rong turned to his assistant. ”Bro, come here for a sec. I need to borrow your body...”

Startled, the assistant asked, ”What for?”

Watching the Laoshan Ghost-Hunting Instructor stagger to his feet, Zhao Rong told his assistant, ”Don’t worry, I just want to use my Punching a Cow Across the Mountain technique.”

Hearing that Zhao Rong was about to unleash a major technique, the assistant immediately did a front flip, landed in front of Zhao Rong, and faced the instructor. ”Zhao Rong, go for it! Hit me right in the stomach! Don’t hold back, hit me hard, hit me like you mean it!”

As the Laoshan Ghost-Hunting Instructor staggered away, he glanced back and started cursing, ”Damn it, Zhao Rong! You just wait! I’m going to get my brother, the Zhengyi Ghost-Hunting Instructor! Let’s see you handle the two of us!”

Just as the instructor was spewing his curses, Zhao Rong shouted, ”Mysterious-rank Advanced Martial Technique: Punching a Cow Across the Mountain!”

Afterward, Zhao Rong’s fist slammed hard into his assistant’s stomach.

When the Laoshan Ghost-Hunting Instructor saw Zhao Rong punch his own assistant after being insulted, he roared with laughter. ”I curse you and you take it out on your assistant? What a coward! An idiot! A total freak!”

But before the instructor could finish his sentence, a powerful force slammed into him from the other side of the assistant. Struck by Zhao Rong’s Punching a Cow Across the Mountain technique, the Laoshan Ghost-Hunting Instructor was sent flying toward a nearby cesspit.

As he flew through the air, the bewildered instructor thought to himself, What the hell? Where did this massive gust of wind come from? It actually blew me into the sky!
