Reborn As Super Heiress

Gu Xu instinctively looked over at Huo Sining in the passenger seat.

Huo Sining nodded, signaled to Gu Xu, and then slightly parted her lips, saying to Gu Xu, ”Step on the gas, just dash through!”

Gu Xu immediately understood, taking advantage of the car in front successfully passing the checkpoint before those traffic cops had time to block the road, he slammed the gas pedal and dashed forward.

Adrian’s car had decent horsepower, and Gu Xu’s driving skills were commendable, so the car dashed through without the traffic cops even reacting.

Not only the traffic cops, but even Elisa, Ouyang Jun, and the others in the car were a bit confused.

When they saw Gu Xu recklessly driving forward, preparing to forcefully run through, they were almost scared silly, especially Elisa, who urgently stood up from her seat, trying to stop Gu Xu’s impulsive action.

But before she could stop him, their car had already blazed through the checkpoint.

What left Elisa more baffled was that after passing the checkpoint, everyone in the car simultaneously looked backward, afraid that the traffic cops were chasing them.

But to their surprise, those traffic cops just looked at their car curiously, with a hint of doubt and curiosity in their eyes, yet they didn’t show any anger or attempt to pursue, as if they didn’t see the car forcibly pass through at all.

”Whoa, Xu Zi, how did you do that? You’re awesome! I’m truly impressed!”

After passing the checkpoint, the car didn’t linger but continued moving forward, quickly leaving the group of traffic cops far behind.

Only when they couldn’t see the shadow of the traffic cops anymore did they come to their senses. Elisa and Locke Jason exchanged looks, seemingly unable to figure out what had just happened. Meanwhile, Ouyang Jun gave Gu Xu a thumbs up, clearly impressed by Gu Xu’s bold move.

No one knew that as Gu Xu drove through the checkpoint, Huo Sining used the Invisibility Spell to wrap the entire car, making them invisible on the road, so the traffic cops didn’t see their car at all.

Thus, when Gu Xu stepped on the gas and passed the checkpoint, the traffic cops only felt a gust of wind pass by, perhaps hearing the engine’s sound, having strange and doubtful thoughts, but never imagined that a car had just passed before their eyes.

In this way, they thrillingly evaded several rounds of traffic checks and finally reached Qingdu Port smoothly, leaving Elisa, Locke Jason, and the others unable to believe they made it through so easily, still feeling like they were in a dream.

The car stopped at a secluded spot in Qingdu Port, surrounded by buildings for cover.

Seeing no one around and confirming the place was safe, Gu Xu turned back and said to Elisa and the others:

”The six of us together is too conspicuous and not conducive to action. It’s better to split up. Besides, I reckon you guys have your agenda, and having us tag along might not be convenient, so let’s part ways here.”

Elisa, hearing Gu Xu’s words, didn’t show any displeasure, nodded, expressed her gratitude to everyone in the car once more, shared her contact information with Huo Sining, obtained a business card from Huo Sining, and then left quickly with Locke Jason.

Those three soon disappeared from view. Seeing this, Huo Sining directly pulled out two sets of men’s clothes from her backpack (storage ring) and signaled Ouyang Jun and Gu Xu to change into them.

”Change your outfits first, or you’ll easily be spotted.”

Saying this, Huo Sining also took out a female outfit from her backpack, tied her hair up, put on a wavy wig, and quickly put heavy smoky makeup on her face.

After doing all that, Gu Xu and Ouyang Jun had already changed as well, even putting on baseball caps. Then the three got out of the car and swiftly headed toward the port.

Halfway there, Ouyang Jun suddenly remembered something and said to Gu Xu, ”Oh no, I forgot something. Adrian is still hidden in the car trunk!”

Gu Xu glared at Ouyang Jun and said, ”Given the circumstance, you’re still worrying about irrelevant people? Escaping is what’s important now!”

Huo Sining couldn’t help but chuckle at Ouyang Jun, saying, ”The car’s parked in such a hidden spot. By the time someone finds it, Adrian might not even have half his life left. Besides, I’ve got it covered; Adrian won’t get off easy. Don’t worry.”

Upon hearing this, Ouyang Jun grew very curious, as if his heart was tickled by a cat’s paw, eagerly chasing after Huo Sining to know what she arranged as a backup plan, yet Huo Sining kept tight-lipped, refusing to disclose a single word more.

Unable to get anything from Huo Sining, Ouyang Jun was anxious but had no choice but to fret and make wild guesses on his own.

Not long after Gu Xu and the others landed at Shanghai’s port, Gu Xu keenly sensed three or four gazes from the port area look their way, those sharp eyes seemed to slice them with a glance, then turned elsewhere in search of something else.

Gu Xu’s heart tensed; instinctively, he glanced at Huo Sining, and with Ouyang Jun simultaneously pulled down the brims of their hats, then after some subtle hand signals from Gu Xu, nonchalantly headed towards a ship preparing to depart and sneaked aboard while no one was watching.

Shortly after Gu Xu and the others sneaked onto the ship, those searching eyes from the harbor tracked back to their previous standing position. When they didn’t find any trace of them, they exchanged a glance, quickly reported to their superiors, and mobilized personnel to start checking the entire Qingdu Port.

After stealthily boarding the ship, Gu Xu expertly led Huo Sining and Ouyang Jun into the cargo hold and hid inside.

They were quite lucky; this cargo ship was bound for America, and the cargo on board consisted of clean Mexican specialties, with excellent ventilation. Therefore, although there was no light in the cargo hold, hiding inside wasn’t suffocating at all.
