Reborn As Super Heiress

Chapter 233: Chapter 230: The Golden Silk Type Chapter 233: Chapter 230: The Golden Silk Type Although the rough stone was from Zhou’s Jewelry, it was entered into the competition under a private name.

At this moment, when the rough stone’s price soared, its “owner” naturally had to appear.

Zhou Zhen gave a subtle nod towards a certain direction, and someone there got the hint and burst out from below the stands, excitedly shouting, “Mine, this rough stone is mine, haha, it’s gone up!”

The Stone Solver Master had worked on four or five rough stones, and finally, one had increased in value, instantly shedding his previous nonchalance; his entire demeanor changed.

“Sir, would you like to continue cutting this stone?” asked the Stone Solver Master cautiously.

Although the prize money of one million at this jade gambling event was substantial, with so many participants, this person might not necessarily win the championship;

The rough stone in his hand had already had a window cut into it, and with adept handling, selling this semi-gambled rough could easily net several hundred thousand, even if it didn’t bring in a million.

That’s why the master asked the question – even though it was a jade gambling event, he still needed to adhere to routine procedures.

By asking this question, even if the rough stone were to accidentally collapse during the rest of the stone-solving process, there would be no worries about this person reneging and causing trouble for the Stone Solver Master.

However, the master’s concern was clearly unnecessary, as the man immediately nodded in response to his question and said without any hesitation, “Continue, Master, please proceed!”

Although the rough stone wasn’t the Stone Solver Master’s property, if high-quality jade were extracted, he could reap many benefits at the jade gambling event, so upon hearing that the man wanted to continue, the master instantly heaved a sigh of relief, with a mix of joy and anticipation in his heart.

His heart was tense and excited, but the Stone Solver Master’s hands did not slow down; he cut the stone quickly and accurately, soon revealing a cut surface the size of a chicken egg.

An expert standing by, with sharp eyes, spotted the green hue on the cut surface immediately and, ignoring the fast-spinning grinding wheel in the master’s hand, moved closer to take a look.

Upon inspection, the middle-aged expert’s face changed instantly, and after three seconds of silence, he spoke in a deep voice, “The green is vibrant and bright, the water head is full, it’s of the golden silk type!”

A bracelet of the sticky rice type could sell for about four to five hundred thousand; although the golden silk type might not match up to the sticky rice type, it was still close in value. As long as the green hue within was consistent, it wouldn’t be a problem to sell a bangle for three to four hundred thousand.

At this thought, Zhou Zhen and Ye Zixin exchanged glances, each seeing the surprise in the other’s eyes.

The expert’s words, transmitted through the loudspeaker, spread throughout the entire jade gambling event venue, causing the scene to explode with excitement as everyone turned to look towards the piece that had risen in value.

The Stone Solver Master had been rather displeased up on the stage before, as most of the entries in the jade gambling event were mundane bricks without any challenge, leaving him listless.

But now, he was overjoyed because he had uncovered the golden silk type.

Those involved in stone gambling believe in luck, and many Stone Solver Masters earn their living by it. Once their fame grows from a successful cut, many will seek their help with stone gambling, and of course, the tips would be generous.

In front of the television and the many people present, he had succeeded in his gamble, which was a golden opportunity for a Stone Solver Master to make a name for himself. The thought of the increased number of people who would seek him out for stone gambling in the future excited him beyond measure.

The Stone Solver Master was so energized it was as if he’d been injected with chicken blood, quickening the pace of his stone carving. The friction between the grinding wheel and the stone sent dust flying, and in less than half an hour, an entire piece of golden silk type jade rough weighing two to three kilograms was completely carved open.

The carved-open rough jade revealed itself to the crowd, the jadeite being spherical and slightly smaller than a soccer ball.

The entire piece of jadeite was rich in water content, and the inner green silk, arranged like orderly stripes, looked very much like a striped, round mini watermelon.

After being rinsed with water, the vivid green color was particularly striking.

“The color is pure and not gaudy, and the green is gentle; it’s definitely the golden silk type!”

Some connoisseurs in the audience couldn’t help but feel a deep sense of regret.

“I saw this rough this morning too and thought about bidding on it, but I didn’t. What a pity! Given the size and quality of this golden silk type, it’s certain to take the top prize at today’s stone gambling event!”

Those standing nearby couldn’t help but ask curiously upon hearing this, “Take the top prize? Is this piece of golden silk type jadeite that valuable?”

An expert started to analyze, “The golden silk type falls between mid-grade and high-grade jadeite, but this piece has excellent water content and color. The quality should be considered top-notch. A golden silk type bracelet alone costs at least three hundred thousand. This rough could make at least ten bracelets, so if it were to sell, it would start at three million at the very least.”

“That expensive? Isn’t this just the golden silk type? How can it be so pricey?”

“Pricey? That’s because you don’t understand the jadeite market in our country well enough. Do you know why the prices of hard jade jewelry have been soaring? That’s because the old pit jade rough from Myanmar is becoming rarer and rarer. Many jewelers are facing a scarcity of raw materials. They can get orders, but they can’t make jewelry without raw materials; they simply have no stock. I heard that not long ago, the Su Group’s Donghua almost got sued by a client over raw material issues.”

The knowledgeable person lamented, “If you ask me, this person is just unlucky. If this piece of golden silk type were to be cut at the Pingzhou Public Plate, the price would at least double!”

“Double? Wouldn’t that be six million? Are you joking? Even if that piece of golden silk type were all made into jewelry, it would only be worth seven or eight million, right? After deducting the cost of the raw materials and labor, is there still profit left for the jade dealers?”

“What do you know? There are so many jade companies in the country, and the demand for mid to high-grade jadeite is tremendous. To retain customers, they must ensure a sufficient supply of goods. For these well-performing jadeite raw materials, they are willing to pay a high price. Therefore, the prices of mid to high-end jadeite cut at the Jade Public Plate generally match the finished product prices, making only a minimal profit.”

Huo Sining naturally heard all this without missing a word. She was not familiar with the jadeite trade, so upon first hearing this analysis, she too was quite surprised to learn how cutthroat the jadeite market had become.

However, for Huo Sining, a piece of golden silk type jade posed no great threat; she had a lot of confidence in her own piece of granite.

The discussion in the hall bubbled up around them, and the Stone Solver Master had already removed the entire piece of golden silk type, cleaned it in clear water, and handed it over to the rough’s “owner.”

At that moment, Zhou Zhen also stepped out from his seat and quickly walked over to the “owner” of the golden silk type, smilingly asking, “Sir, I wonder if you’re considering selling this piece of rough?”

The man holding the golden silk type looked at Zhou Zhen with feigned cluelessness. Seeing this, Zhou Zhen quickly explained in a rush:

“Sir, I am Zhou Zhen, the Sales Manager of Zhou’s Jewelry. I would like to know if you are willing to sell this piece of rough. If so, the Zhou Family is willing to buy it at a high price.”
