Reborn As Super Heiress

Chapter 222: Chapter 219 Two Plans Chapter 222: Chapter 219 Two Plans “`

A Dongyang woman dressed in a kimono scurried towards him, her bare feet on the wooden floor making not a sound.

“Master.”

Her voice was crisp, and she bent down to present a tray to Fujiwara Seiho.

Fujiwara Seiho glanced at it, picked up the documents from the tray, and after skimming through them, a hint of surprise flashed in his eyes.

“A girl, alone and helpless, arrives in a strange city, and within a mere ten days, she makes millions and opens a store. Do you believe it?”

With a cold snort, Fujiwara Seiho said to the Dongyang woman, “Go and check out this Huo Sining’s hometown situation, and find out exactly how she made her fortune!”

The woman bowed and responded affirmatively. She was about to leave when she suddenly remembered something and timidly raised her head to ask in a low voice, “President Honda from the corporation personally called to inquire about the situation. He hopes you will be lenient with Hattori Masano’s matter.”

The porcelain cup in Fujiwara Seiho’s hand tightened, and with a sharp ping, it shattered into several pieces as tea splashed around.

The Dongyang woman trembled, fear evident in her eyes.

A murderous glint crossed Fujiwara Seiho’s eyes, “What the heck is the corporation, to dare give orders to me, the Sect Master?”

“Send the tobacco test report to President Honda. After he reads the report, he surely won’t protect a vice president with a history of drug use, will he?”

Fujiwara Seiho waved his hand dismissively. Without furrowing his brow, he said something chilling, “The research institute is still lacking a sample. Send the person over.”

The Dongyang woman, well aware of Fujiwara Seiho’s temperament, knew that his decisions were beyond question. So, without showing any dissatisfaction, she respectfully bowed in the Iga-ryu manner to bid farewell to the Sect Master, then turned and silently withdrew.

Fujiwara Seiho’s gaze lingered on the documents in his hand, lost in thought for a long while, then suddenly stretched out a hand to lightly tap several times on the wall beside him.

A hidden compartment slid out from the wall, and Fujiwara Seiho took out an ancient, yellowed, thread-bound book from the box emblazoned with three bold characters.

Classic of Mountains and Seas.

It was after nine o’clock at night when Qin Shaoyou received a call from Gan Lijun. Her voice, urgent and excited, was uncontrollable:

“Xiao Qin, the test results are out. The genetic match between these two koi fish and the local carp is incredibly high, making the possibility of them being Dongyang koi fish zero. Moreover, these two koi have not undergone any genetic mutations; they’re genuinely purebred Huaxia koi. This is wonderful news. With these two koi as our foundation, the subsequent research experiments can be said to be quite effortless. We just need to select their normal, stable genetic offspring, and we’ll be able to mass-produce!”

Qin Shaoyou was greatly astonished to hear this, but deep down, he had a premonition, having guessed the result before the report even came out.

For some reason, upon hearing Gan Lijun’s words, Qin Shaoyou suddenly thought of the angelfish with the incredibly high hatching rate that he encountered last time at the Qingmu Fish Farm.

The hatching rate of the German red pine angelfish was not high, but his research was surprisingly unhindered, not only progressing smoothly but also achieving an extraordinarily high hatching rate.

Despite his repeated research and exploration over this period, Qin Shaoyou had not been able to identify the cause. The only doubt was about the male angelfish, which was purchased from Huo Sining.

“`

Qin Shaoyou initially did not suspect Huo Sining, but after encountering those two local koi, he realized where the problem lay.

It must have been Huo Sining who tampered with that angelfish, which was why his experiment progressed so smoothly!

Qin Shaoyou felt both shocked and astonished, and his heart was tinged with a hint of fortune.

Perhaps he hadn’t taken Huo Sining, a young girl, seriously at first, but now he fully realized just how right he was to have transferred her to the College of Biology.

Purebred German red pine, purebred Huaxia red and white koi—varieties that even highly-skilled research institutes wouldn’t dare to claim that they could breed—had actually been raised by an obscure and seemingly unremarkable young girl. How incredible that was!

The strongest thought in Qin Shaoyou’s mind now was an intense desire to know how Huo Sining achieved it.

Huo Sining was unaware that her two fish had driven countless researchers at the S City Biological Research Institute mad, let alone that Gan Lijun’s report had caught the attention of numerous research institutes across several provinces and cities, causing quite a stir for a time.

The next morning, as soon as Huo Sining arrived at school, she was taken by Qin Shaoyou to the dean’s office.

Huo Sining was clueless, like a monk baffled by a riddle, but as soon as she entered, she saw seven or eight school bigwigs seated around the conference room. There were three people from S University’s leadership—both the president and vice-presidents—, the dean of the College of Biology, as well as Gan Lijun and two other middle-aged men with glasses, in addition to Qin Shaoyou, all seated around the round table, looking at her with excited, anticipatory gazes like searchlights.

Huo Sining wasn’t nervous, but she felt bemused upon seeing the setup. She gave Qin Shaoyou a puzzled glance and sat down in front of the group at the dean’s gesture.

“Ms. Huo Sining, regarding the two red and white koi you showcased at yesterday’s fish fighting competition, we conducted an emergency blood and genetic test last night.”

“The results show that the two red and white koi are pure Huaxia koi.”

“The idea our research institute has now is that we hope you can provide those two fish as samples for our institute to conduct project research. Of course, since both fish are extraordinary, we will offer you appropriate compensation.”

The speaker was one of the two middle-aged men with glasses, someone Huo Sining did not recognize, but judging by the tone of his voice, he seemed to be from the research institute.

To Huo Sining, those two koi were indeed insignificant, but she was keenly aware of what they meant to the research institute.

Although the matter was sudden, Huo Sining’s mind remained clear. She was not intimidated by the presence of so many leaders and did not lose her composure.

With two purebred koi, even without the research institute, Huo Sining could manage to breed pure offspring herself. Once the offspring were put into mass production, it would ensure a steady income stream.

This represented a tremendous fortune, which the research institute was obviously very clear about. Of course, it was impossible for Huo Sining alone to achieve mass production, but the value contained in those two koi was undeniable.

In business terms, it wasn’t that Huo Sining was greedy—it was simply the reality. If the research institute only offered a token monetary compensation, Huo Sining certainly wouldn’t agree.

However, another middle-aged man with glasses pushed over a contract proposal. Huo Sining flipped through it briefly and immediately her eyes widened.

The contract had two options. One was for the research institute to pay five million to buy out Huo Sining’s two koi outright. In that case, whatever those two koi would be used for by the institute and how much economic benefit they would generate afterward would have nothing to do with Huo Sining;

The other option was for Huo Sining to directly participate in the research institute’s koi research project while being credited for her contribution to the patent research. The research institute was willing to offer Huo Sining five percent of the technological patent. Once the red and white koi research was successful and the fish were mass-produced and marketed, she would receive five percent of the shares and dividends.
