Urban Martial Saint

Ye Qing was also stunned; he had no idea what was going on. If the Southern Fist King Shen Tianjun were here, he would definitely know what was happening.

Last time Ye Qing was at Xihang Shen Family Manor, he consumed numerous Ziyu Chenxiang Pills. The medicinal properties of the pills accumulated in his body and weren’t absorbed by him. The medicinal properties of Ziyu Chenxiang Pills can detoxify all poisons. Last time, it was due to the properties of Ziyu Chenxiang Pills that Ye Qing was able to use his own blood to cure the people from Shen Family and Sha Men who were poisoned by the Bone-Piercing Tendon-Softening Powder. This time, when Ye Qing was helping Ou Keren to suck out the poison, the medicinal properties entered Ou Keren’s body through his mouth, completely cleaning the poison, so no snake venom was detected in Ou Keren’s blood.

Of course, both Ye Qing and the doctor were unaware of what had happened. However, to be safe, Ye Qing still arranged for Ou Keren to stay at the hospital for a comprehensive check-up to avoid any unforeseen issues.

In Shenchuan City, Zhao Chengshuang took those three corpses back, and the city bureau immediately placed high importance on the case, promptly dispatching SWAT to aid them. The small grove was entirely surrounded by police, conducting a thorough search to find any useful clues. After all, these mercenaries carried intercontinental missile launchers on them, making this case a matter of national security, therefore even the Capital police headquarters took this very seriously, issuing a firm order to the Eastern Province police to solve this case no matter what.

Now, the situation was simple: if Eastern Province could solve this case, it would be a great merit in safeguarding national security. If not, it would mean negligence on their part. Hence, Liu Changping was extremely serious about this and specifically assigned a Vice Director who was currently on his way here. The Shenchuan City police also attached great importance to this. After all, these mercenaries were hiding in Shenchuan City, and if they couldn’t solve the case, many in the Shenchuan City police would suffer. If they did solve the case, it would be a great achievement - the case representing both an opportunity and a challenge. How could the city bureau not take it seriously?

Zhao Chengshuang certainly made a big name for himself; he had just finished a meeting in the afternoon and that very night he achieved such a great feat. Although these three mercenaries were not dealt with by him, Ye Qing would definitely not come forward to claim credit, and Ou Keren wouldn’t compete with him, so all the credit went to him alone. The city bureau chief personally called to commend him, making Zhao Chengshuang so happy that he couldn’t stop grinning.

At the same time, at Wang Tian’an’s base, Wang Tian’an had already received the news. He looked at the Junior Brother sitting beside him, still leisurely, and couldn’t help saying, ”Junior Brother, your group of mercenaries aren’t competent in combat.”

”What happened?” The Junior Brother, astonished, looked at Wang Tian’an and frowned, asking, ”What exactly went wrong?”

”Not only did they fail to kill Ye Qing, but they also got three of their people killed by Ye Qing!” Wang Tian’an said gravely. ”I’ve always felt that these so-called mercenaries are unreliable. Ye Qing himself is a retired Special Forces member, far surpassing ordinary people in combat ability. Moreover, with his strength, how could he be dealt with by a few mercenaries?”

The Junior Brother’s expression changed, and he said gravely, ”Ye Qing is really not dead?”

”Is there any doubt about it?” Wang Tian’an said. ”He has already returned to Shenchuan City. Moreover, the Shenchuan City police are closely investigating that group of mercenaries, saying they are involved in some major international case. I think you should better stop having any contact with these mercenaries. If this matter implicates us, it could be very troublesome for us as well!”

”These bastards took so much money from me and yet couldn’t even kill Ye Qing!” The Junior Brother angrily exclaimed, ”I should never have trusted them!”

”You must never underestimate Ye Qing; he is a cunning man. I think it’s better to be cautious!” Wang Tian’an said deeply. ”The urgent matter now is to get the food for the Heart-devouring Bug as soon as possible. Here at my place, another person’s Heart-devouring Bug has just acted up. If we can’t get the food for the Heart-devouring Bug soon, I’m afraid these people really will rebel!”

”Master’s men have gone to fetch the food for the Heart-devouring Bug; it should arrive soon,” said the Junior Brother.

Although Wang Tian’an was anxious, knowing that Ning Qianshu had arranged things, he sat patiently in the room waiting. However, the Junior Brother couldn’t sit still and stood up to return to his own room, immediately calling the leader of the mercenaries.

”What on earth are you doing?” The Junior Brother sternly said. ”I told you all about Ye Qing’s movements, and you still couldn’t kill him? With your little capabilities, you still dare to claim yourselves as top-level mercenaries of the world? Ambushing a man without a gun, yet you get three of your men killed; is this your capability?”

The person on the other end of the phone was silent for a while, then spoke in very stiff Huaxia, saying, ”Your information was wrong; why would the King of Explosives be aiding Ye Qing?”

”What King of Explosives?” The Junior Brother was taken aback and said, ”I don’t understand what you’re saying, don’t make excuses for me. If you can’t kill him, that means you can’t kill him, don’t use this King of Explosives as an excuse. Aren’t you mercenaries with strong combat capabilities? So, because there’s an extra person by Ye Qing’s side, you can’t kill him? Hmph, I think it’s simply your incompetence!”

”The King of Explosives is the chief instructor of explosives for the entire African Mercenary Corps; even our explosives instructors are taught by the King of Explosives. This person is very powerful!” the mercenary on the phone said gravely. ”There was a problem with the information you gave us; you didn’t tell us about the King of Explosives, which led to the death of three of our people. You must take full responsibility for this!”

Hearing this, the Junior Brother became even angrier, rudely retorting, ”Bullshit, what does that have to do with me? I paid you to kill a man, and it’s your own fault for not checking his background properly. How can you blame me? Moreover, what nonsense about this dog fart King of Explosives, I’ve never heard of him. And this chief instructor of explosives for the African Mercenary Corps, where did you get such a title, trying to fool me? I tell you, either kill Ye Qing, or return my money immediately. Otherwise, don’t expect to leave Shenchuan City alive!”

”We will definitely kill Ye Qing. He caused the death of our three comrades; this man must die. However…” the mercenary paused, then continued gravely, ”You also have to pay the price for what you’ve done; our comrades will not have died in vain. After killing Ye Qing, you’re next!”

After saying this, the mercenary hung up the phone. The Junior Brother was so enraged that he roared at the phone, but the person on the other end could no longer hear him.

”Bastard, what kind of crap is this, trying to threaten me? Fine, I want to see what capabilities you have to come find me!” Junior Brother gritted his teeth as he tossed his phone aside, his face twisted in anger.

However, Junior Brother didn’t know that every word he spoke in the room was clearly heard by Wang Tian’an, who was standing at the door. Wang Tian’an slightly furrowed his brow, knowing well that Junior Brother was hotheaded, and it seemed he had also formed a grudge with these mercenaries. But, he couldn’t persuade Junior Brother, so he could only sigh softly.

Just as he turned around, a subordinate ran in from the door, saying, ”Big Brother, there’s an old man looking for you outside!”

”An old man?” Wang Tian’an was slightly puzzled, he pondered for a moment and said, ”Let him in!”

The subordinate ran out, and soon, brought in an old man with white hair and aged beyond seventy. The old man was dragging a large box, which still had some soil on it, as if he had walked over from a rural area.

As the old man entered, he looked directly at Wang Tian’an and asked, ”Are you Wang Tian’an?”

Wang Tian’an nodded and said, ”It is I, may I have the honor of asking...?”

”This is something from your Master!” the old man paid no heed to Wang Tian’an, and directly threw the box in front of Wang Tian’an, saying, ”Tell Ning Qianshu that I have paid back one of the two favors I owe him. For the other, I hope he finds me soon, lest I pass away before settling the debt!”

”Oh?” Wang Tian’an was even more astonished; he didn’t know the old man or what connection he had with his Master, Ning Qianshu.

”What... what is inside this?” Wang Tian’an looked at the large box in surprise.

”What is it, you won’t know unless you open and see!” The old man seemed very irritable, and after leaving that remark, he turned and walked away.

Wang Tian’an didn’t stop him, as this was a figure from the same generation as his Master, Ning Qianshu. He hesitated for a moment, then slowly opened the box to see exactly what was inside.

”What is this?” Junior Brother just walked out from the room and asked in surprise.

”I don’t know!” Wang Tian’an casually opened the box, and Junior Brother glanced at it, his expression suddenly changed, and he said solemnly, ”This... whose cremation urn is this?”

Wang Tian’an also saw clearly, the box was neatly filled with cremation urns. Moreover, these urns were still covered with soil, as if they had just been dug out from the ground.

Although Wang Tian’an was very strong, the sight of so many cremation urns chilled his heart, leaving him unsure of what to do for a moment.

”Who delivered so many cremation urns?” Junior Brother wondered.

”I don’t know the man, but he said this is something the Master asked him to deliver to us...” Wang Tian’an looked at the cremation urns, his expression suddenly changed, he grabbed one and opened it right away.

Junior Brother also reacted, anxiously saying, ”What’s inside this urn, could it be the food for the Heart-devouring Bug?”

Wang Tian’an had just opened the urn, inside was filled with a grayish-white powder, resembling bone ash. Only, this powder had a faint fragrance, quite different from real ashes.

Seeing the powder, Wang Tian’an was overjoyed, exclaiming, ”It really is the food for the Heart-devouring Bug! Indeed it is the food for the Heart-devouring Bug! I didn’t expect that the Master would send the food for the Heart-devouring Bug in such a way. Placing it in a cremation urn, brought by such an old man, Chen San would’ve never dreamed of it!”
