Urban Martial Saint

Having had quite a few drinks, it seems the issue with the inspection team has been settled. However, Ye Qing still felt some trepidation, as he always felt something was not quite right about this matter.

But Zhao Chengshuang kept patting his chest, telling Ye Qing not to worry about it. After dinner, Zhao Chengshuang even had someone send Ye Qing back first, intending to personally take care of the ensuing matters.

Ye Qing didn’t know exactly what Zhao Chengshuang had up his sleeve, but he trusted Zhao Chengshuang wouldn’t set him up. Moreover, having slogged through the officialdom for so many years, Zhao Chengshuang knew far more about these matters than Ye Qing, making him the best candidate to handle such affairs.

After sending Ye Qing off, Zhao Chengshuang immediately called Li Lianshan over.

”What’s going on?” Li Lianshan grumbled as soon as he arrived, ”I just had a beauty come for an interview on my end, and I was in the middle of it. Couldn’t you have waited until after I finished? Besides, I’ve already said, I don’t want to get involved with this inspection team. These bastards, all so arrogant. If it weren’t for Ye Zi needing their help, I would have chopped them up and fed them to the fish in the sea long ago!”

Li Lianshan had no good impressions of the people from the inspection team; they were almost at blows just the night before, and now he didn’t even want to see them.

Zhao Chengshuang said with a smile, ”Don’t be angry. I brought you here for revenge.”

”Revenge? For what?” Li Lianshan was puzzled, not understanding what Zhao Chengshuang was driving at.

”Heh heh…” Zhao Chengshuang laughed and then recounted the morning’s events to Li Lianshan.

Upon hearing Zhao Chengshuang had assaulted someone from the inspection team, Li Lianshan’s eyes lit up, ”Damn, why didn’t you call me this morning? If we were going to beat them, I could have gone in and done it personally. I’ve been wanting to thrash them for a long time!”

”The beating is not the key point, it’s about what happens afterward,” said Zhao Chengshuang, ”We can’t just beat them senseless; it’s mainly about the matter concerning Ye Zi. The most crucial part is, they’ve taken our money, and now we can catch them red-handed.”

”Oh.” Li Lianshan nodded and looked at Zhao Chengshuang, ”You’re quite crafty, everyone else is giving money willingly, and here you are, forcing them to take it. Now that they’ve taken the money, things are almost settled, right?”

”Settled my ass!” Zhao Chengshuang shook his head, ”Though they’ve taken the money, this matter is still not secure!”

”How is it not secure?” asked Li Lianshan curiously, ”They’ve taken the money, right? If they don’t handle Ye Zi’s matter properly, we can report them with this incident, and they’ll be doomed!”

”It’s not as simple as you think,” Zhao Chengshuang said. ”Even though they’ve taken the money and we’ve got the photos, if they go back and report this to the discipline inspection first and claim that we forced them to take the money, it won’t be good for us. Even if we have the photos, we can’t threaten them.”

”Then what should we do?” Li Lianshan suddenly became anxious, ”Should we... keep some of their people as hostages and let the others go back to report the issue?”

”Damn, can’t you do things without being such a bandit?” Zhao Chengshuang curled his lip and said, ”I have a way that’s much better than yours!”

”What’s the plan?” asked Li Lianshan curiously.

Zhao Chengshuang smiled and asked, ”Do you have beauties in your venue?”

”What are you planning to do?” Li Lianshan looked at Zhao Chengshuang warily, ”After what Ye Zi mentioned the last time, things have been a lot cleaner in the venue; we don’t engage in such dealings. And you, be careful, Huo Pingping is no pushover. If you dare mess around outside, beware she castrates you when you get back!”

”Come on, what are you thinking!” Zhao Chengshuang had a face full of disapproval, ”I mean to have some beauties come over and use the honey trap on those guys from the inspection team. If we can obtain evidence of such a matter, they’ll have no way to escape!”

Li Lianshan finally understood and said, ”I see; why didn’t you say so earlier? You had me thinking you were plotting against the girls at my venue!”

Zhao Chengshuang replied, ”Cut the crap and quickly find a few beauties. Remember, they must be pretty. Otherwise, if they can’t seduce them, it’s all for nothing!”

”No problem, leave it to me!” Li Lianshan made an OK gesture to Zhao Chengshuang, ”I have resident models in every one of my venues, with both the figure and looks; they’ll definitely meet your criteria. If that’s not enough, I also know some second- and third-tier celebrities who I can call over anytime; how about that?”

”Really?” Zhao Chengshuang suddenly became interested and said, ”Send them over, I want to check the goods!”

”Get lost with that!” Li Lianshan quickly waved his hand and said, ”Introducing girls to you, if Huo Pingping finds out, she’d probably slaughter me as well. Kid, if you’re looking for death, don’t drag me into the water!”

Zhao Chengshuang showed a helpless face, pouted, and said: ”I was just saying it, no other intentions.”

”I don’t care whether you have ulterior motives or not, just don’t drag me into it. Huo Pingping is so moody, even Ye Zi doesn’t dare to provoke her, and neither do I dare to seek death!” Li Lianshan waved his hand and walked to the side to make a phone call to arrange the selection.

Since Ye Qing ordered that nightclubs in Shenchuan City are not allowed to have any more of these types of yellow businesses, the places here have become much more regulated. However, such matters cannot be fundamentally prohibited with just one word from Ye Qing. Especially with some film companies and the entertainment circle in Shenchuan City, where it’s inherently chaotic. With just one phone call from Li Lianshan, in less than half an hour, more than twenty good-looking women with great figures arrived, definitely meeting Zhao Chengshuang’s standards. Moreover, Zhao Chengshuang had seen some of them in certain TV dramas or movies, guessing that their appearance fees were not low.

”Very good, very good!” Seeing these girls, Zhao Chengshuang nodded in satisfaction, personally selected some, and let Li Lianshan take the rest away.

Taking these girls with him, Zhao Chengshuang also brought the inspection team to sing karaoke. With girls accompanying them, the atmosphere immediately became much livelier. These members of the inspection team, in their prime, couldn’t resist the charm of these beauties, acting like hungry wolves. There was no need for the beauties to flirt; they were hooked willingly. Halfway through the singing, most had already taken the girls back to their rooms.

Seeing the situation, Zhao Chengshuang chuckled to himself, knowing that this matter was essentially settled. Taking advantage of going to the restroom, Zhao Chengshuang slipped out of the private room, found Li Lianshan, and asked him to snap a few photos to completely get a hold of these members of the inspection team!

”Damn, you get all the fun like having dinner with ladies and didn’t ask me to join. Yet all this sneaky stuff, taking photos of others, you dump it all on me!” Li Lianshan complained unhappily: ”Why don’t you ask Ye Zi to do this?”

Zhao Chengshuang said: ”You know what Ye Zi is like as well as I do. If he knew about this stuff we’re doing, would he agree?”

Li Lianshan thought for a moment, nodded, and said, ”You’re right, that guy is stubborn. Others won’t turn back until they hit the south wall, but he won’t even turn back after hitting it. If it were him, we can forget about tonight’s plan. But aren’t we being a little too despicable by doing this?”

Zhao Chengshuang clenched his teeth and said: ”Ye Zi is trying to do a good deed this time, raising so many kids, that’s a great kindness. I’ve always felt guilty for not doing much for those kids, not even donating a penny. If this time we can take care of the kids’ issues well, even if I am despicable, what of it? If it allows the kids to have a good life here, forget being despicable, I’d go all out even if it’s downright dirty!”

”Well said!” Li Lianshan slapped Zhao Chengshuang on the shoulder and said: ”Damn it, I’ll be despicable with you this time. Fuck, if these bastards don’t agree to the orphanage’s matters after all I’ve done hosting them, I’ll risk it all to pull them off their high horses!”

Zhao Chengshuang looked at Li Lianshan, both of them having the same thoughts. After all, the kids’ issues were the most important. In ancient times, robbing the rich to help the poor was seen as a heroic thief, what they were doing now, even if deemed despicable, was for a great cause!

Of course, Ye Qing didn’t know that Zhao Chengshuang and Li Lianshan had done such dirty deeds behind his back. Having returned home, his mind was still worried about the matter. After all, it related to whether the orphanage could be approved, leaving him unsettled.

Sitting in the house for a while, a strange call came through. Ye Qing picked up the phone, and a gentle girl’s voice came from the other end: ”Hello, I am Su Nuoyan!”

Ye Qing’s mind immediately flashed with the image of that beautiful girl, and he couldn’t help but smile slightly. He hadn’t expected that this girl would actually call him.

”Miss Su, hello,” Ye Qing replied with a light smile.

Su Nuoyan giggled and said, ”Ye, you still remember me!”

”Of course, I remember.” Ye Qing smiled lightly, then curiously said, ”Eh, how do you know my surname is Ye?”

”I’ve been in Shenchuan City for several days now. Ye, with your big reputation, how could I not know?” Su Nuoyan laughed and said, ”Ye, about last time, I haven’t had the chance to thank you yet. I finally have some free time, I was wondering if Ye would be free to have a cup of coffee with me?”

Ye Qing looked at the time. Though it was already ten o’clock, for Shenchuan City, it was still early. Being restless at home and anxious about the orphanage, Ye Qing agreed and drove straight to the café Su Nuoyan mentioned.

In the café, Su Nuoyan was already sitting inside. The café was warm, so Su Nuoyan had taken off her coat, now wearing only a professional white shirt that outlined her beautiful figure quite strikingly. Wearing a professional skirt just above the knee and black stockings on her slender legs, she looked particularly tempting under the dim lights.
