Urban Martial Saint

Huang Boxiong trembled all over with rage. Being a typical Rich Second Generation, he was used to bullying others, but he had never been bullied like this before. He thought he would be able to throw his weight around after coming down to this place, but then he encountered Zhao Chengshuang, who played dirty, and he couldn’t display his authority.

”Huang Boxiong, have you made up your mind?” Zhao Chengshuang said impatiently: ”I still have other things to do later, I don’t have time to stand here arguing with you. Just say yes or no. If you agree, everyone is happy. If not, I need to hurry back and change the injury report.”

As he spoke, Zhao Chengshuang glanced at Ye Qing next to him and said, ”Ye Zi, since people are already saying you’re involved with criminal gangs, why don’t you do this yourself? These bastards insist on shutting down your orphanage. If you don’t break a few of their arms and legs, how can you swallow this insult!”

Ye Qing knew that Zhao Chengshuang was just scaring these people, and he cooperated by smiling and slowly walked over to one of the inspection team members.

”What... what are you going to do?” The man trembled all over and kept backing away. However, after a few steps back, there was a wall behind him, he couldn’t retreat any further, and Ye Qing cornered him against the wall.

Ye Qing stretched out a hand and grabbed his neck, lifting him up with one arm in front of everyone. This scene frightened all the members of the inspection team; they had never seen someone with such strength before.

Looking at the man Ye Qing was holding, his face turned red and he couldn’t even breathe. His hands and feet struggled wildly, but he couldn’t break free at all. In Ye Qing’s hand, he was like a child with no resistance whatsoever.

”Cheng Shuang, what did you just say you wanted to do with this guy?” Ye Qing turned his head to look at Zhao Chengshuang and asked: ”Break his legs or his arms? Or gouge out his eyes?”

Zhao Chengshuang laughed and said, ”As you wish, do whatever you like, since I’m the one writing the report. However you handle it, I’ll write the report accordingly. Enjoy yourself.”

”That’s good,” Ye Qing smiled, turned his head to look at the inspection team members, and said leisurely: ”I tend to be quite harsh when I get going, I’m afraid it might be difficult for you to write the report. But since you said it like that, it’s fine as long as he’s not dead.”

Zhao Chengshuang laughed: ”Even if he dies, it’s no problem, just say he died from serious injuries!”

The back-and-forth between Ye Qing and Zhao Chengshuang nearly frightened the piss out of the onsite inspection team members, and the man being held by Ye Qing trembled all over, crying and begging with his eyes. If it weren’t for Ye Qing choking his neck, he’d probably be kneeling and begging for mercy by now.

Next to him, Huang Boxiong watched Ye Qing through gritted teeth and said in a deep voice, ”Ye, I warn you. Zhao Chengshuang has the Zhao Family to protect him, and I can’t handle him. But you are different. If you dare to touch a hair on them, I’ll make sure you die a miserable death!”

”There were also people who said the same to me before, but unfortunately, their entire family has already been uprooted by me!” Ye Qing looked at Huang Boxiong with a faint smile and said, ”This family, here in Shenchuan City, is quite famous. Shenchuan City’s Ding Family, I wonder if you’ve heard of them. I also wonder, between your Huang Family and the Ding Family, which one is stronger?”

Huang Boxiong’s expression changed. Of course, he knew about the Ding Family; he even met Ding Shaoyan a few times. However, he wasn’t very familiar with the affairs in Shenchuan City and didn’t know that it was Ye Qing who had brought down the Ding Family. He only knew that the Ding Family, which dominated Shenchuan City, collapsed out of the blue. He thought it was because Elder Master Ding died, not realizing it was Ye Qing’s doing, which shocked him tremendously.

”How is that possible?” Huang Boxiong gritted his teeth and said angrily: ”The Ding Family was brought down by their family rivals banding together; don’t try to scare me, do you think I don’t know anything?”

”You can think whatever you want, since we’ve got this far, no need to say more.” Ye Qing’s eyes gradually turned cold as he looked at Huang Boxiong and said sternly: ”Leader Huang, I advise you to think again. If I really get started, it will be too late to regret. By then, everyone would be returning to the province missing limbs!”

Huang Boxiong clenched his teeth tightly, staring dead at Ye Qing, feeling a bit scared inside. But, he couldn’t just agree outright; that would be too humiliating.

”Leader Huang is indeed a tough guy!” Ye Qing nodded slowly, then turned his head to look at the man he was holding and said, ”Sorry, it looks like Leader Huang doesn’t care much about you all, my apologies!”

Ye Qing casually picked up a wine bottle nearby, pretending to smash it, when several people from the inspection team shouted in unison: ”Don’t hit, don’t hit, Boss Ye, let’s... let’s talk nicely...”

Two of the inspection team members also turned to Huang Boxiong and said: ”Leader, why don’t we... why don’t we take a look at the orphanage since we’re here...”

”Yes, Leader, if we never visit, it really wouldn’t look good!”

These inspection team members knew that Huang Boxiong might not end up disabled, but once Ye Qing made a move, they would all be doomed. So, they quickly stopped Ye Qing, not wanting him to take any action.

Zhao Chengshuang looked at Huang Boxiong with a faint smile and said, ”Leader Huang, these are all your friends, you wouldn’t really stand by and watch them get beaten into cripples, right?”

Huang Boxiong clenched his teeth and looked at the man caught by Ye Qing, who was so scared that he had lost control of both bowel and bladder, and after a long silence, said sternly, ”Alright!”

Hearing this, Ye Qing and Zhao Chengshuang exchanged glances, a hint of relief flashing in their eyes. Honestly, if Huang Boxiong really resisted stubbornly, Ye Qing might not have actually done anything. But now that Huang Boxiong had agreed, everything they did had taken effect.

”See, it’s better to just say it!” Zhao Chengshuang came over, smiling as he patted Huang Boxiong on the shoulder, saying, ”We’re all on the same side, no need to make things so tense, right? Look, we really scared this brother, I’m truly sorry. Xiong Zi, did you bring any money?”

Black Bear was carrying a shoulder bag full of money, which Ye Qing had originally prepared to give to these inspection team members. Hearing Zhao Chengshuang’s words, Black Bear immediately took out a stack of money and handed it to Zhao Chengshuang.

”This isn’t enough.” Taking the shoulder bag, Zhao Chengshuang pulled out several stacks of money from it and stuffed them into the hands of the man who had wet his pants, smiling, ”Here, brother, buy some new clothes to wear. I’m really sorry about earlier!”

”No need, no need, I... I already have clothes...” the man tried to refuse.

”What’s the matter? Don’t want to give face to your brother?” Ye Qing feigned anger from the side.

Frightened, the man shivered and quickly took the money from Zhao Chengshuang’s hand, smiling apologetically, ”No...no offense… just embarrassed, my clothes... aren’t worth that much...”

”We’re all family here, no need for such formalities!” Zhao Chengshuang stepped back with a laugh, saying, ”Come on, shake hands with Ye Zi, let’s leave any grievances in the past!”

The man dared not ignore Zhao Chengshuang’s words and hurried over to shake hands with Ye Qing. Nearby, Zhao Chengshuang took out a camera and snapped a photo of the two shaking hands. The man, still holding a large sum of money, was startled by the sudden photo and hurriedly tried to stuff the money into his pocket, but it was too late.

With the camera in hand, Zhao Chengshuang smiled, ”See, we are all brothers here, no need for formality. Come on, Xiong Zi, give the other brothers some consolation money. I’m really sorry about earlier!”

Understanding Zhao Chengshuang’s intention, Black Bear quickly distributed the money to the others. These people, who had been frightened by Ye Qing and Zhao Chengshuang earlier, dared not refuse and had to accept the money. Meanwhile, Zhao Chengshuang took photos of each one. This was all evidence, if these people dared to go back on their words later, the fact that they took money from Ye Qing would be exposed.

Huang Boxiong watched all this with a stony expression. With this, he was put in a passive position, but there was nothing he could do to change it. This was Zhao Chengshuang and Ye Qing’s territory, even a powerful dragon couldn’t suppress a local snake; if these two really wanted to play dirty, he could only accept defeat!

”Young Master Huang, I really apologize if my words offended you earlier, please don’t be upset!” Zhao Chengshuang said cheerfully as he approached Huang Boxiong, managing to slightly smooth over Huang Boxiong’s expression.

Then, Zhao Chengshuang and Ye Qing, along with the inspection team, went directly to the orphanage for inspection. Along the way, Zhao Chengshuang recounted Ye Qing’s adoption of these children in Shenchuan City. The inspection team members were deeply moved by all they heard. They had initially wanted to throw their weight around, thinking that Ye Qing was using the children to make money, and hence hadn’t shown him much respect. Now understanding Ye Qing’s actions, they held him in high esteem.

Upon reaching the orphanage, they were even more amazed. They had thought that a privately established orphanage would certainly not match up to public ones in terms of conditions. However, the conditions at Ye Qing’s orphanage far exceeded their expectations, with all facilities being much better than those at public orphanages, which astonished them and increased their respect for Ye Qing.

After inspecting, they were very satisfied with all aspects of the orphanage. The infrastructure was flawless and definitely much better than public orphanages. At least in this respect, the result of the inspection was very satisfactory.

In the evening, Ye Qing hosted a banquet for the inspection team members at a hotel in the city. Over the course of the meal, everyone’s mood was much uplifted, as if all the previous displeasures had disappeared. Several members of the inspection team heartily assured Ye Qing that they would speak well of him once they returned.
