Urban Martial Saint

Hearing about the venomous snake, Ou Keren’s face grew even paler. Although she is a police officer, she is ultimately a girl, and which girl isn’t afraid of snakes?

Seeing Ou Keren like this, Ye Qing’s heart grew even more anxious. He turned his head and asked King of Explosives, ”What kind of snakes can be in this small grove?”

”That’s hard to say!” King of Explosives shook his head and said, ”In Eastern Province, there are not many types of venomous snakes, but the venom of those that are poisonous is very potent. Especially around Shenchuan City, there are Silver Ring Snakes, King Cobras, Five-step Snakes, and other venomous snakes like Guoshan Peak, all of which are extremely toxic. Especially the King Cobra, if it bites a person, it could be fatal within two hours. However, the King Cobra is somewhat better, the most dangerous is the Five-step Snake. Although its venom is not as potent as that of the King Cobra, the venom of a Five-step Snake can damage the human immune system. Even if it can be cured, the body’s immunity will be decreased thereafter, leading to a lot of trouble. People in the mountains used to always carry snake medicine, in case they were bitten by a Five-step Snake, they would immediately use the snake medicine to prevent the spread of the venom. But now, these snakes are rare, and we do not carry snake medicine, which is troublesome.”

The snakes that King of Explosives mentioned, Ye Qing had heard of each, and each one is very dangerous. If Ou Keren was really bitten by one of these snakes, that would truly be a bad thing. Especially the Five-step Snake, which can damage the body’s immune system—how is that different from chronic poison?

”How about I make a call for an ambulance first?” King of Explosives said, ”This place is very close to the downtown area, I estimate that within half an hour, the ambulance can arrive. As long as the serum is administered, there won’t be any problems!”

”Alright!” Ye Qing nodded, lifted Ou Keren up on his back, and said, ”Also, call Cheng Shuang to come over and handle the scene here.”

King of Explosives ran ahead to make the call on the road. Meanwhile, Ye Qing did not carry Ou Keren out, but carried her to the car instead.

The vehicle had hit a huge rock, the front of it was dented in, and the body was severely damaged. However, the engine system was not much of a problem, and the headlights were still working.

Ye Qing placed Ou Keren in the back seat of the car, looking at her pale, blood-drained face, he felt extremely anxious. Biting his teeth, he whispered, ”Miss Ou, I don’t know what snake bit you. Right now, we can only prepare for the worst. If it was a Five-step Snake, we must stop the venom from spreading further immediately, otherwise, the snake venom will damage the body’s immune system, which is very dangerous. Thus, I can only resort to the most ancient method, to help extract the venom first!”

Although the Acupoint Seeking Technique includes methods to deal with snake venom, the most crucial point is to cleanse the venom first. The best way to cleanse the venom is using medication to eliminate it. Ye Qing obviously doesn’t have these medications on him now, so he can only choose the most primitive method. This method is also mentioned in the Acupoint Seeking Technique, but it is very dangerous. Once the venom mixes with one’s own blood, it can cause oneself to be poisoned, risking not only failing to save the victim but also potentially perishing oneself.

However, Ye Qing couldn’t care less at this moment. After all, Ou Keren had once saved his life; he certainly couldn’t just watch her suffer because of this.

Ou Keren was initially confused about what Ye Qing was going to do. Hearing this, she was shocked and hurriedly said, ”Ye, if you extract the venom, won’t you get poisoned too? No, this… this is too dangerous!”

”I’ll be fine, as long as the venom doesn’t mix with the blood!” Ye Qing helped Ou Keren sit up and pulled down the clothing on her shoulder, revealing her snow-white, delicate shoulder beneath.

Only then did Ou Keren realize the awkward position of her wound, feeling the coolness on her shoulder, her face suddenly flushed with embarrassment, and she quickly turned her head away.

Seeing Ou Keren’s beautiful shoulder, Ye Qing’s heart also skipped a beat; he was only focused on helping Ou Keren and had forgotten the propriety between men and women. This moment made him freeze for a good while.

Feeling Ye Qing staring at her bare shoulder, Ou Keren’s pale face suddenly turned even redder. She lowered her head, her voice as soft as a mosquito, ”Ye, actually... actually it’s nothing, with the serum administered... it should be fine, right...”

Hearing Ou Keren’s words, Ye Qing finally snapped back to reality, and immediately pinched his own thigh forcefully, saying, ”The ambulance will take about half an hour to arrive. In that time, the venom can spread to many places in the body. We must prepare for the worst, Miss Ou, this...”

Ye Qing awkwardly looked at Ou Keren’s jade-like shoulder, hesitated for a long while, then clenched his teeth and said, ”I apologize!”

After saying that, Ye Qing took a deep breath, bent down slowly, and pressed his mouth against the wound on Ou Keren’s shoulder.

Feeling the warmth of Ye Qing’s lips, Ou Keren’s whole body softened, her small hands tightly clutching Ye Qing’s clothes, her heart chaotically in disarray, no longer aware of what she was doing. In her heart, towards Ye Qing, there was no hint of resistance, only an indescribable joy and longing.

Actually, Ye Qing’s heart was also trembling with excitement, after all, he was a normal man. However, Ye Qing dared not think too much, as he forcefully pinched his own thigh with one hand to stay clear-minded, vigorously sucking the poison blood from the wound, spitting it out beside him, then continuing to suck. Repeating this, he spat out six or seven mouthfuls of black blood, until the blood gradually turned bright red, and Ou Keren’s complexion finally began to regain some color.

Only when he was sure that most of the poison had been extracted did Ye Qing stop. However, Ou Keren was still clutching his clothes tightly, almost clinging onto his body. When Ye Qing let go, Ou Keren did not let go but instead continued to embrace Ye Qing tightly, utterly forgetting what they were doing.

Feeling the soft, fragrant warmth in his arms, Ye Qing was also very excited. However, he still tried his best to keep his composure, took several deep breaths, and whispered, ”Miss Ou, it’s alright now, you can let go.”

Upon hearing this, Ou Keren came back to her senses, exclaimed in surprise, and hastily tried to retreat backwards. However, there was nothing to support her behind, and she fell backward directly, letting out another cry of alarm.

Seeing Ou Keren like this, Ye Qing quickly reached out to catch her. However, just as Ye Qing grabbed her clothes, Ou Keren’s clothing suddenly dropped halfway, exposing half of her body. Her skin, white as jade, her enticing figure, and the black lace lingerie appeared unabashedly in front of Ye Qing.

Both were stunned. Ye Qing’s mind went blank, his blood feeling like it was boiling. He had forgotten that while extracting poison, he had pulled Ou Keren’s clothes down to her shoulders. This meant the buttons on Ou Keren’s clothes were already mostly undone. When he grabbed her clothes trying to pull her up, he ended up pulling her clothes completely off, revealing such a scene, and they were both startled.

”Sorry...sorry...I’m so sorry...” Ye Qing’s face flushed instantly, he clumsily tried to drape the clothing back on Ou Keren. But with Ou Keren in such a state, helping her dress would surely involve some contact.

Touching Ou Keren’s smooth skin felt like an electric shock to Ye Qing, who quickly withdrew his hand. However, seeing Ou Keren like that, he wanted to help her dress. They remained in this stalemate for a while, then Ye Qing simply closed his eyes, pushed the clothes forward, and said, ”Miss Ou, you...you better dress yourself...”

Ou Keren, whose face was still flushed, couldn’t help but chuckle upon seeing Ye Qing like this. She took the clothes, slowly draped them over herself, and softly said, ”Ye, you don’t need to be like this. Actually, being with you, I also feel very... very happy...”

As she spoke, Ou Keren’s voice became so low it was difficult to hear. With these words, she expressed all of a young girl’s thoughts.

Ye Qing’s heart skipped a beat; he hadn’t expected Ou Keren to say such things. Hearing these words, the first thought in his mind was of two women. One was Shen Qingyi from the Xihang Shen Family Manor, and the other was Huangfu Ziyu, who had jumped off the cliff to save him.

Ye Qing dared not speak; he could hear the implication in Ou Keren’s words, and he could feel her affection for him. Yet, he dared not accept it, because even he did not know who he truly loved more. However, his heart could only accommodate Shen Qingyi and Huangfu Ziyu, leaving no room for any other woman.

Once Ou Keren was dressed, looking at Ye Qing standing by, she also felt a sense of melancholy. They say a girl’s heart is delicate, and so was hers. Although Ye Qing hadn’t spoken, she could feel that Ye Qing was not ready to accept her love. She sighed softly, not stepping back, but instead, she leaned closer to Ye Qing and whispered, ”It’s just a pity that I can’t always be with you. Once this case is over, I will have to return to Xiangjiang. Ye, will you come to visit me in Xiangjiang?”

If it had been before, Ye Qing would have answered without hesitation. But now, he really dared not answer. Love from another is a grace; you must not deceive the one who loves you!

Seeing Ye Qing not speaking, Ou Keren’s smile turned somewhat sad. She didn’t speak further, just sitting quietly beside Ye Qing with her legs hugged. The soft moonlight shone on her fair face, making her skin look almost translucent.

Thankfully, the awkward atmosphere did not last long. Less than twenty minutes later, five police cars roared by, led by none other than Zhao Chengshuang.

”How is it? How is it?” Zhao Chengshuang dashed over as soon as he got out of the car, seeing King of Explosives he immediately asked: ”Ye Zi? Where is Ye Zi? Is he injured? Is everything okay?”
