Urban Martial Saint

Ye Qing had not yet gotten into the car when he heard a series of beeping sounds. Moreover, the beeping was accelerating, becoming more urgent.

Ye Qing’s face changed, and he turned to run. But seeing that the girl nearby had not gone far, Ye Qing immediately flipped over from the car, took a quick leap, and landed beside her. Shouting ”Watch out,” he pounced on her, knocking her to the ground.

”You motherfucker, dare to cop a feel!” the girl cursed loudly, swinging her bag to hit Ye Qing.

Just then, a loud explosion erupted from behind them. A wave of air swept over, tossing them both several times. Fortunately, they were lying on the ground; otherwise, they probably would have been blown away by the blast.

Ye Qing turned his head to look; his car had been blasted into the air and had just landed. The car was fully engulfed in flames, its windows shattered, and the body damaged; the entire vehicle was a write-off. The tremendous impact caused the two nearest cars to also be written off. Almost all of the cars in the parking lot had shattered windows, and the place was a complete mess. Many people were frightened and lying on the ground, with some girls even screaming and crying in panic.

It was fortunate that Ye Qing reacted quickly; otherwise, he might have been blown to pieces. The explosion had also caused his eardrums to buzz. However, he lightly pressed a few points near his ears, and the trembling of his eardrums gradually subsided. This was a method recorded in the Acupoint Seeking Technique and was very practical.

Looking at the girl next to him who had wanted to hit Ye Qing, she was now nearly scared to pee herself, sitting blankly on the ground, staring at the vehicles behind her, completely dumbfounded. Probably, she had only ever seen such scenes on television in her life.

The explosion attracted many people, and several car owners rushed out. Seeing the situation, some of the car owners were going crazy. Their cars were parked here just fine, who would have expected this to happen?

”Whose fucking Land Rover is this?” a man cursed angrily: ”If you’re going to die, why not park somewhere else? Parking here screws me over too!”

Some people pointed at Ye Qing, and a few car owners immediately ran over to confront him. These people were bold, all with some money and connections, and so had fiery tempers and spoke very rudely.

However, many more car owners did not come over. These people were somewhat smarter. They knew that if Ye Qing’s car was bombed, he must not be a simple character. Looking for trouble with him, what difference was that from seeking death?

Ye Qing did not pay attention to those car owners, but after getting up, he immediately went behind a car. This car was parked next to the duty room, creating a blind spot between the rear of the car and the duty room. Ye Qing hid here to guard against any snipers that might be on the nearby buildings. Since the other party had used a bomb, they might have arranged for snipers as well.

Thankfully, after hiding for a while, no unusual incidents occurred. However, those car owners grew more and more angry, and one of them even started coming over to grab Ye Qing’s clothes.

”Bastard, how are you going to settle this with my car?” It was a young man whose car was parked right next to Ye Qing’s and had also been completely wrecked, so he was extremely angry.

”My friend, please stay calm!” Ye Qing said: ”For something like this, you can’t blame me. I have already called the police. Let the police handle this matter when they arrive, shall we? Whatever needs to be compensated, I won’t shirk.”

”Compensate my ass!” The young man glared, angrily retorting: ”That was a brand new Ferrari my dad just got for me, do you know how much this car is worth? Driving an old Land Rover, you think you’re really something? My car, could buy five of yours no problem, what can you offer to compensate me with?”

”And what about my car, how are you going to deal with that?” Another car owner also began to make a fuss.

Seeing this, the other car owners quickly came over and surrounded Ye Qing in the middle. By their manner, they seemed ready to settle with Ye Qing right there if he didn’t give them an explanation.

Ye Qing paid them no heed, carefully pondering over this matter in his mind. With this happening, there was no doubt that Wang Tian’an was trying to kill him. Having sent several attempts that failed to kill Ye Qing, which instead resulted in losing many of his men, Tian An hated Ye Qing to the bone. That’s why he prepared such a bomb to blow Ye Qing up.

Ye Qing had to admit, using a bomb was a good move. If not for Ye Qing hearing the beeping sound of the bomb activation, he would probably have been blown to bits by now; thinking about the earlier close call was quite harrowing.

Meanwhile, seeing Ye Qing remaining silent, the young man got even angrier and came up swinging to hit Ye Qing. Just at this moment, a crowd ran over from a distance, the security team from the nearby nightclub. Leading them was Da Fei; Ye Qing owned a place here, and it was Da Fei who was personally overseeing it.

”Fei is here, Fei is here!” someone shouted, and everyone immediately turned their heads to look. Seeing Da Fei, the young man became more spirited, and yelled loudly: ”Fei, you came at the perfect time. Hurry up, my car got wrecked by this bastard’s vehicle, and this bastard has the nerve to play dead. Looks like, without teaching him a lesson, it won’t work. Fei, you gotta help your brother get this car back!”

Da Fei made his way into the crowd, and upon seeing Ye Qing, his expression changed instantly. He paid no attention to the young man anymore and quickly rushed over, urgently asking: ”Big bro, you... how are you? Nothing serious, right?”

”Big bro?” The crowd around them was suddenly stunned, and the young man was even more shocked as he stared at Ye Qing.

Da Fei’s reputation in this area was huge, everyone knew him, and no one dared to mess with him. And now, this man, being addressed as his ’big bro’, made everyone’s eyes widen in disbelief, their mouths open but unable to utter a word.

”I’m fine.” Ye Qing shook his head, walked out of the crowd, and kept scanning everyone in the square, trying to see if there were any particular individuals. However, in the end, he was disappointed. Wang Tian’an’s people seemed to have withdrawn already, there was nobody suspicious around.

Only now did that young man come back to his senses and walked up behind Da Fei, whispering: ”Fei, who... who is this guy?”

”Bastard, of course, he’s my big brother!” Da Fei, remembering the young man’s earlier rants about beating up Ye Qing, couldn’t suppress his rage. He kicked the young man to the ground, cursing: ”Go to hell, were you the one cursing at my big brother just now?”

Although the young man was arrogant and domineering, he knew very well that he was no match for Da Fei. After being kicked by Da Fei, he could only swallow his anger and said embarrassingly: ”Fei, I... I didn’t know he was your big brother...”

Da Fei ran over, unleashed a series of fierce kicks on him, and cursed: ”Didn’t know and that’s your excuse? For something explosive like this, can you blame others? Bastard, you’re just trying to pick on others deliberately, aren’t you? I’ve been displeased with you for a long time, you asshole, what a piece of crap!”

The young man was howling pitifully from the kicks but dared not fight back or run away. The few car owners who were previously making a fuss and demanding Ye Qing pay for the cars had now quietly backed away. Now that they knew Ye Qing was Da Fei’s big bro, who would still dare to cause trouble? That would be a death wish!

In the distance, the girl who had just been saved by Ye Qing was now completely flabbergasted. She had not expected that the poor lad she had looked down upon was Da Fei’s big brother. She was well aware of Da Fei’s notorious name; everyone knew how extensive Da Fei’s power was in this area. A friend of this girl’s friend got together with one of Da Fei’s underlings, and her life immediately became incredibly easy. These girls didn’t dare to dream of getting close to Da Fei, even getting one of Da Fei’s underlings would be enough for them to not have to earn this hard money. She never expected that just now, she had missed the opportunity with Da Fei’s big brother...

Before long, Zhao Chengshuang also hurried over with his team. Seeing the mess at the scene, Zhao Chengshuang was also startled and quickly ran to Ye Qing’s side, exclaiming: ”Damn, Ye Zi, are you okay?”

Ye Qing had just scraped some skin when he fell down and was not injured. He waved his hand and said in a deep voice: ”Pull up the surveillance from here, I want to see who planted the bomb!”

”Do we even need to check?” Zhao Chengshuang asked incredulously: ”It must be Wang Tian’an’s men. Maybe they’ve already left the city by now, they won’t be found!”

”Impossible!” Ye Qing shook his head, his voice grave: ”If I’m not mistaken, they planted a Sensory Bomb. The bomb would only get activated when someone sits in the car. Installing this kind of bomb takes a bit more trouble, but the success rate of detonation is very high. They thought they could plant this kind of bomb in my car, it definitely took them quite a bit of time. Yet, with so many people in this square, no one noticed!”

The girl had sat in the car first earlier, afterward, Ye Qing heard the beeping sound, so he was certain it was a Sensory Bomb. However, it was thanks to the girl who got in first. Otherwise, if Ye Qing had entered the car and started it, the sound of the vehicle would have drowned out the bomb’s sound, and he would never have detected the bomb, leading to certain death.

”You know so much about bombs?” Zhao Chengshuang said in surprise: ”Nobody noticed it, so what?”

”There are parking attendants in this square...” Ye Qing looked at Zhao Chengshuang and said: ”Unless it’s an inside job, otherwise, how could nobody come to check?”

Zhao Chengshuang realized suddenly, and quickly turned to order: ”Quick, quick, quick, pull up all the surveillance footage, focus on this area in particular. Also, call in all the parking attendants for a detailed inquiry, ask who approached this car tonight, especially the square’s staff, move it!”

Zhao Chengshuang’s police immediately went to work on this matter, while Ye Qing turned to look at the destroyed Range Rover. He had to investigate this incident thoroughly. No matter who planted the bomb and for what reason, he couldn’t allow any threats to linger around him.
