Urban Martial Saint

Seeing Ye Qing walk in, Old Wang Ba immediately tossed his microphone aside, and said, ”Damn, why did you only just arrive? Come come, let me introduce you, this here is Liu Mubai, the person I told you about.”

”Mr. Liu, nice to meet you!” Ye Qing extended his right hand, saying, ”Thanks for what happened just now!”

Liu Mubai smiled faintly, and said, ”Eighth Master took one million, but it’s not enough!”

Ye Qing was briefly taken aback, glancing at Old Wang Ba next to him. Old Wang Ba quickly flashed an awkward smile, saying, ”Hey, we’re all friends here, talking about money just makes things awkward. Rest assured, we’ve got your sister’s situation covered. Ye Zi has always been warm-hearted and enjoys helping others, especially his friends. There’ll be no problems with your sister’s expenses abroad!”

As Old Wang Ba spoke, he also vigorously winked at Ye Qing, hinting for him not to continue the conversation on this topic.

Ye Qing was even more astonished, having no idea what Old Wang Ba was going on about. One million, although not a small amount for the current Ye Qing, was definitely not something he would carelessly throw away. After all, the orphanage still needed a lot of money.

”Now that my man has arrived, it’s time we made good on our previous agreement!” Liu Mubai’s expression remained unchanged, his face seemingly wore a faint smile, but his deep eyes were filled with a chilling aura.

Although Ye Qing didn’t know who Liu Mubai really was, he could tell from his eyes that this man must have had an extraordinary past.

”What agreement?” Ye Qing couldn’t help but ask, Old Wang Ba was definitely hiding something from him.

Upon hearing this, Old Wang Ba’s face suddenly changed again, while Liu Mubai slowly looked towards Ye Qing, saying, ”It seems like you guys haven’t discussed it properly, have you?”

”No... that’s not the case...” Old Wang Ba quickly stepped back a few steps, moving away from Liu Mubai, saying, ”I just didn’t tell him about it, rest assured, whatever it is, Ye Zi will listen to me, right Ye Zi!”

”What do you mean by ’right’?” Ye Qing was even more astonished, saying, ”What on earth did you two agree on?”

Liu Mubai’s faint smile grew wider, but the look in his eyes towards Old Wang Ba became even more murderous. He slowly set his cup down on the table, stood up, and took steps toward Old Wang Ba.

Old Wang Ba had always believed in not suffering immediate losses, seeing Liu Mubai stand up, he slipped away to the door, hurriedly saying, ”Hey, hey, hey, don’t be hasty, let’s talk this out. No matter what, we once had some connections, is there anything we can’t discuss properly?”

”No one can make a fool of me!” Liu Mubai looked at Old Wang Ba, saying, ”If it weren’t for the slight fondness I had for you back then, I would have killed you last time you sought me out. I trusted you, and I followed you to Shenchuan City, that fondness is now spent. Now, you fool me, you must repay with your life!”

Ye Qing finally understood some of the hints, he couldn’t help but frown slightly, Liu Mubai’s murderous intent was really strong, it could almost be described as ruthless, and he had no idea where Old Wang Ba found such a character.

Seeing him approach step by step towards Old Wang Ba, Ye Qing quickly walked over, stood in front of Old Wang Ba, blocking Liu Mubai, saying, ”Mr. Liu, I don’t know...”

Before Ye Qing could finish speaking, Liu Mubai said in a deep voice, ”Get out of the way!”

Ye Qing’s expression also slightly changed, this Liu Mubai was too arrogant, how could they even hold a conversation?

”Mr. Liu, you helped me before, I don’t want to...” Ye Qing was still trying to explain to Liu Mubai, but Liu Mubai did not give him time to explain, and directly threw a punch towards Ye Qing.

Back in school, Ye Qing had seen Liu Mubai’s move, his skills could really be described as terrifying. Old Wang Ba once said that he was a man who could even fight the Right Protector head-on. But after seeing him in action that evening, Ye Qing realized that this man’s strength was even above the Right Protector’s, indeed extremely powerful. Having such a person to help him, of course, made Ye Qing happy, but he didn’t expect that this person would be so difficult to get along with.

Liu Mubai’s punch was extremely fast, so fast that Ye Qing couldn’t dodge it in time; he could only raise his hand and use a Wing Chun Technique to block it. However, just as his hand touched Liu Mubai’s wrist, Liu Mubai’s wrist violently shook, knocking Ye Qing’s hand away. Despite this, Liu Mubai’s punch didn’t slow down at all as it continued toward Ye Qing’s chest.

Ye Qing’s complexion changed. He knew Liu Mubai was strong, but he didn’t expect him to be this strong. The strength and speed of this man were simply terrifying, far surpassing others Ye Qing had seen, like Right Protector Wang Tian’an. Although Ye Qing was still not as strong as the Right Protector Wang Tian’an and his ilk at present, he could still hold his own in a fight against them for half an hour, no problem at all. But with Liu Mubai’s attack, Ye Qing couldn’t even block at all; this was too horrifying, wasn’t it?

However, during this period of time, Ye Qing hadn’t been practicing his swordsmanship for nothing. Every day, practicing cutting soybeans with his longsword had significantly improved his speed, reaction, and precision. After failing to block Liu Mubai’s punch at first, Ye Qing immediately sidestepped and quickly slapped with his left hand. Just as he was about to hit Liu Mubai’s wrist, Ye Qing’s left hand suddenly drew a very natural circle and then finally slapped Liu Mubai’s wrist.

This move was inspired by the technique Ye Qing had apprehended while practicing swordsmanship with Southern Fist King Shen Tianjun, learning from striking tree trunks with dead branches. Drawing a small circle with the hand could dissipate the force received; this was very useful in actual combat. Utilizing it here was just perfect, allowing Ye Qing to deflect Liu Mubai’s punch, while his left hand wasn’t shaken off by Liu Mubai’s arm.

”Eh?” Liu Mubai couldn’t help but utter in surprise, Ye Qing’s move was completely unexpected. Without pause, he raised his hand and threw another punch, straightforwardly, without any technique, wanting to see that move of Ye Qing’s again.

Ye Qing, just like last time, easily vibrated his wrist in a circle, dissolving the force he received, and once again pushed Liu Mubai’s punch away.

”Interesting!” Liu Mubai chuckled, rushing forward, his fists flying out continuously towards Ye Qing.

Although Liu Mubai was fast, in close-quarter combat with Ye Qing, it was Ye Qing who had the upper hand. After all, Ye Qing’s Wing Chun was known to be invincible at close range. Every time Liu Mubai made a move, Ye Qing was able to block it. The two fought for almost five minutes, and even though Ye Qing was at a disadvantage the whole time, he managed to hold on, which greatly surprised Liu Mubai.

In fact, Ye Qing was also under tremendous pressure. Old Wang Ba’s report on Liu Mubai’s strength was totally wrong. This Liu Mubai was much stronger than the likes of Right Protector Wang Tian’an. His strength could even be on the same level as Cui Yulong. If it wasn’t for the three whole days Ye Qing spent learning from Southern Fist King Shen Tianjun, he probably wouldn’t have lasted a single move by now. Even though Ye Qing’s strength had increased a lot, if the fight continued like this, he reckoned that it wouldn’t take many minutes before he’d be downed.

From a distance, Old Wang Ba watched Ye Qing and Liu Mubai battle it out, the room nearly destroyed by their fight. Liu Mubai’s attacks were terrifying; his fists and kicks left craters in the walls, and chunks of cement and powder kept falling down. After a few minutes of fighting, the room looked as if it had just experienced an earthquake, even the sofa was taken apart.

Seeing Ye Qing was getting into more and more trouble, Old Wang Ba gritted his teeth and cursed, ”Liu Mubai, you ungrateful beast, I gave you a full million, isn’t that a sign of good faith? You ******, took the money and now straight away you want to kill? Motherfucker, is this how the Liu family behaves?”

Liu Mubai, with a calm expression, said, ”Eighth Master, curse as you please. The uglier you curse, the more miserable I’ll make your death!”

Old Wang Ba: ”You want to kill me, you better see if you’ve got the guts. *****, don’t think because I don’t have many skills that I won’t warn you. If I really die at your hands, let me tell you, there’ll be no place on this earth for the Liu family!”

”The world is full of people who want to kill me; a few more or a few less make no difference,” Liu Mubai paused before adding, ”But anyone who plays with the Liu family must die!”

”You…” Old Wang Ba was choked up, his eyes rolling several times before he gritted his teeth and said, ”Fine, then come and kill me. But don’t say I didn’t warn you – if you kill me, your sister won’t live much longer either!”

Liu Mubai’s expression turned icy in an instant as he glared at Old Wang Ba and through gritted teeth said, ”Old Wang Ba, you dare threaten me!?”

”I’m not ******* threatening you, I’m telling you…” Old Wang Ba said, ”You know your sister’s condition better than I do. Sending her abroad was just to temporarily save her life. The poison she has been inflicted with, you’re clearer about it than me. Either find Sai Hua Tuo Baili Xi or King Yan Ning Qianshu, otherwise, she won’t live much longer. However, Sai Hua Tuo Baili Xi is rumored to be dead. Will King Yan Ning Qianshu save your sister? Don’t forget, the poison was personally administered by King Yan Ning Qianshu himself!”

Liu Mubai’s face turned extremely cold, and his movements slowed significantly as he looked at Old Wang Ba and said sternly, ”So what? As long as my sister doesn’t die, there will always be a way to save her in this world. Moreover, killing you doesn’t conflict with saving her!”

”You’re mistaken!” Seeing Liu Mubai slow down, Old Wang Ba suddenly revived his spirit and said, ”A way? Hmph, if Sai Hua Tuo Baili Xi is really dead, are you planning to go beg King Yan Ning Qianshu? Moreover, who said killing me has no relation to saving your sister? I really have to tell you now, that only I know the way to save your sister!”

(Something came up tonight and the update is a bit late. I apologize to all my friends here.)
