”I’m just being arrogant, you got a problem with that? If you can’t stand it, why don’t you age backward until you’re seventeen!” He Tao sneered, suddenly raising the dagger in his hand and said, ”Ye, you damn well don’t dare to touch me, but I sure as hell can kill you!”

As he spoke, He Tao gestured with his hand and bellowed, ”Everybody, get him, and stab that bastard to death!”

Normally, these youths were extremely arrogant when fighting, relying on their minor status to be exceptionally brutal. Hearing He Tao’s command, they immediately drew their daggers and charged towards Ye Qing.

Ye Qing furrowed his brows and said in a deep voice, ”Da Fei, Mad Dog, get Teacher Gu out of here!”

Mad Dog waved his hand and said, ”Da Fei, you take Teacher Gu. Big Brother, I’ll help you!”

”Damn, as if I can’t fight!” Da Fei complained, but he still helped Gu Xianping away first.

”Mad Dog, be careful!” Ye Qing said and then rushed forward first.

A youth had just run up and raised his hand to stab at Ye Qing’s chest.

Ye Qing moved incredibly fast, grabbing the youth’s wrist, twisting it forcefully, and snatching the dagger away. With another forceful twist, the youth’s wrist hurt so much that he couldn’t help but curse, ”Fuck your mother, let go of me, or I’ll kill you!”

Ye Qing didn’t bother being polite and punched the guy in the face, breaking his nose. The youth rolled on the ground, holding his nose and screaming in pain, no longer having the strength to threaten anyone.

Several others also charged up, swinging their daggers viciously aiming for lethal strikes. Luckily, they were dealing with Ye Qing, who was agile and quick to dodge. If it had been someone else, they probably would have been killed then and there!

”Stab him to death! Stab him to death!” He Tao roared from behind, ”Finish him off for me, I want him dead, not alive!”

Watching the fierce youths in front of him, Ye Qing frowned deeply. These kids were minors, and in the past, he would have held back. But they were too vicious, and after a moment’s hesitation, he gritted his teeth.

”Looking to die!” Ye Qing shouted loudly, kicking a youth in the chest so hard he flew back and fell to the ground without the strength to roll over, several of his ribs broken by the impact.

Ye Qing had made up his mind not to go easy on these kids anymore. Because when these minors become lawless, they’re even more frightening than adults!

With this resolution, Ye Qing’s moves became even more unrestrained. These seven or eight youths were nothing in front of him; in just a minute, all were beaten down, severely injured, with broken ribs or arms and legs, no longer able to stand up and fight.

Mad Dog had fought two of them; one had his head split open by a rock from Mad Dog, and the other was pinned to the ground, still getting pounded. The pinned youth was roaring and threatening Mad Dog to let him go, but all he got back was more beating. Mad Dog had been fighting for food on the streets since he was a kid; these little thugs who only bullied students were just like kids to him.

He Tao hadn’t expected his group to be beaten down so quickly by Ye Qing, and he was stunned. Seeing Ye Qing approaching him, he suddenly panicked and shouted angrily, ”Ye, you... you fucker, don’t think you can bully me just because my brother is gone. You’re picking on a minor, aren’t you ashamed of how this will look?”

Ye Qing ignored him and kept walking toward him.

”You... you... don’t come any closer, I warn you, I... I’m not afraid of you...” He Tao was so scared his legs went weak, and he even forgot to back away, his voice trembling, ”I’m telling you, I’m a minor, if you injure me, the charges... will be serious...”

Ye Qing shook his head. It wasn’t terrible to be uneducated, but not understanding the law was. He Tao was just like that, thinking that being a minor he could act recklessly and lawlessly, without realizing that everyone in this world is bound by law.

”Young man, let me enlighten you about the law,” Da Fei ran over, looked leisurely at He Tao, and said, ”Your group of a dozen, armed with weapons to attack us two or three. Legally, even if we killed you, it would only be considered excessive self-defense. And since you’re not dead, it’s just self-defense. Besides, we didn’t use weapons, what charges could we have? At most we’ll compensate you for some medical expenses. How about this, let’s settle on the medical fees first, lest after Big Brother beats you, you won’t even have the strength to talk!”

He Tao, having no clue about self-defense and excessive self-defense, was completely confused by Da Fei’s half-serious banter and was stunned.

At that moment, Ye Qing had also walked up to him. Gazing coldly at He Tao, he said in a deep voice, ”Being young and ignorant is not a sin, but don’t use your youth and ignorance as capital to do anything you please. Remember, you must take responsibility for every action you take and every word you speak. You must pay the price!”

With that, Ye Qing suddenly extended his hand and threw a punch at He Tao’s chest. He Tao immediately bent over and crouched on the ground, his face turning beet red. He truly couldn’t withstand the force of Ye Qing’s punch!

Seeing He Tao like this, Ye Qing shook his head and said, ”You are far inferior to your brother!”

Having said that, Ye Qing no longer paid him any attention and turned to leave.

At this moment, He Tao abruptly stood up, clenched his teeth, and gripped his dagger, stabbing towards Ye Qing. He had known that he couldn’t confront Ye Qing directly, so he had waited for this opportunity.

”Brother, be careful!” Mad Dog and Da Fei shouted in alarm simultaneously, but their warnings were slightly too late. The dagger had already nearly pierced through Ye Qing’s clothes.

However, at this critical moment, Ye Qing suddenly twisted his body, narrowly evading the dagger. At the same time, Ye Qing landed a heavy punch on He Tao’s chest. He Tao let out a painful scream, vomiting several mouthfuls of fresh blood, and staggered backward, finally collapsing heavily on the ground.

Ye Qing walked up to He Tao, slowly shook his head, and said, ”You are truly beyond saving!”

He Tao shouted loudly, ”If you have the guts, kill me and see if you won’t die!”

”I won’t kill you!” Ye Qing bent down, looked quietly at He Tao, and suddenly grabbed his right arm and twisted it forcefully. There was a cracking sound, and He Tao immediately started rolling on the ground, screaming in agony. Not everyone could bear the pain of a broken arm.

”This broken arm of yours will take at least three months to heal,” Ye Qing said coldly, looking at He Tao. ”Starting today, every three months, I will have someone break your arm again. I want you to spend your life lying in a hospital bed, I want you to never think about hurting others again!”

”What?” He Tao was instantly stunned. This... this was just too cruel, wasn’t it?

Ye Qing no longer paid attention to him, but turned around, helping Gu Xianping into the car. Mad Dog below was collecting Gu Xianping’s books and storing them in a small shop nearby that had good relations with Boss Yang.

On the ground, He Tao and his companions continued screaming in pain, but not a single person nearby came to their aid.

These young men had committed many outrageous deeds around here, and many people were too afraid to speak out against them. Now that Ye Qing had injured them, the crowd felt a deep sense of satisfaction, and almost wished to see them suffer on the ground a bit longer.

Sitting in the car, Gu Xianping was noticeably more subdued. He glanced at Ye Qing next to him, hesitated, and then said softly, ”Ye Qing, I’m sorry to trouble you again...”

”Teacher Gu, there’s no need for you to say that to me,” Ye Qing looked at Gu Xianping and said, ”Teacher Gu, I know you are worried about Yaqing’s medical expenses. Rest assured, I absolutely won’t let that be a problem. Moreover, from now on, you don’t have to worry about their schooling expenses. Stop selling your books. I’ll make arrangements for you to return to teaching!”

”Ye Qing, I... I know you mean well,” Gu Xianping sighed and spoke softly, ”I’m really grateful that you can cover Yaqing’s medical expenses. But, for Yaqing and Yunzhi’s schooling money, I really can’t bother you anymore. I’m able-bodied, I can walk, I can run, I can earn every small bit, how can I use your hard-earned money like this?”

”Teacher Gu, if it weren’t for you, I wouldn’t have been able to go to school, let alone earn any money,” Ye Qing looked at Gu Xianping and said, ”Your troubles are my troubles. Besides, the expenses for Yaqing and Yunzhi’s schooling are actually to be covered by Boss Yang. You know, he’s been planning to sponsor needy students, and he has decided to support Yaqing and Yunzhi!”

”What?” Gu Xianping was momentarily taken aback, then shook his head slightly and said, ”Ye Qing, we shouldn’t trouble Boss Yang with this. The schooling expenses for Yaqing and Yunzhi, I can still manage. As long as I can go back to work, there will be no problem letting them go to school. Let’s give these two places to children who are in need!”

Ye Qing said, ”Yaqing and Yunzhi are in need, too. This is Boss Yang’s decision; please don’t decline. With your salary, you can buy some supplements for Yaqing and Yunzhi as they are still growing!”

”Ah!” Gu Xianping sighed and said, ”Ye Qing, I’m a teacher who receives a fixed salary every month. I can afford Yaqing and Yunzhi’s tuition, but do you know how many children in the school can’t even afford this small tuition? So many children haven’t even seen their parents’ faces since they were born. Yaqing and Yunzhi at least have me. How can I let them compete with those poor children for these places? If we use less, spend less, then two more children can go to school!”

Listening to Gu Xianping say this, Ye Qing’s eyes couldn’t help reddening. Over the years, Gu Xianping had supported so many students. Even though he didn’t have as much money as Old Fifth Yang, he had given his all, and for this alone, one couldn’t help but respect him!
