Urban Martial Saint

Hong Tianxiang now had some regrets; he regretted why he had to kidnap Zhou Hongbin’s wife and children. Thinking back, he felt that he had been too impatient this time.

Actually, from the very beginning, he had been completely on the back foot. Ye Qing had kidnapped the county’s deputy chief of police Zhou Hongbin in broad daylight and stolen a police car, something unprecedented. Moreover, the key point was that this police car went straight to Dengyang City, which led Hong Tianxiang to speculate immediately whether Ye Qing was planning to take Zhou Hongbin to expose himself.

In such a situation, anyone would be thrown into disarray. Therefore, the first thing that Hong Tianxiang thought of was to quickly destroy the evidence at Zhou Hongbin’s side while also using Zhou Hongbin’s wife and children to threaten Zhou Hongbin. However, he had not expected that the police car was just a ruse by Ye Qing, and that Ye Qing and Zhou Hongbin hadn’t left Jiuchuan County at all. In fact, Zhou Hongbin had not given in.

But now he had kidnapped Zhou Hongbin’s wife and children, and Zhou Hongbin had witnessed it. Zhou Hongbin, who wouldn’t have succumbed, would definitely turn around to deal with him!

Hong Tianxiang frowned tightly; most of the situation had spiraled out of his control. Now, he had only two choices, either to find Zhou Hongbin as soon as possible and silence him by killing him, or to try to settle the matter through his connections in the city. Of course, he did not know whether his connections in the city could resolve this matter because he knew it was not going to be easy. Therefore, the best option was to choose the first method, to silence by murder. But wanting to carry out an assassination also required finding Zhou Hongbin, and who knew where Ye Qing had taken him now?

”Boss, boss?” Seeing Hong Tianxiang not speaking, Xiao Xu called out softly twice more, bringing Hong Tianxiang back to his senses.

”What is it?” Hong Tianxiang asked in a grave voice.

”Boss, you don’t need to worry too much,” Xiao Xu said. ”When that guy Ye came in and hurt our guys, he thought I was knocked out, but I wasn’t actually. I heard everything he said to Zhou Hongbin.”

”What did you hear?” Hong Tianxiang asked urgently.

Xiao Xu whispered, ”I heard him instruct his men to open another room in the hotel where they were staying and arrange for Zhou Hongbin’s family to be moved there. Boss, as long as they are still in Jiuchuan County, they can’t escape our control!”

Upon hearing this, Hong Tianxiang was overjoyed and said, ”Good! Very good! Immediately go find He Biao and have him arrange people for me to kill Zhou Hongbin!”

”No problem!” Xiao Xu nodded in agreement. He was just about to hang up the phone when Hong Tianxiang suddenly changed his mind, ”No, no, no. Don’t go to He Biao, don’t go to He Biao?”

”Huh?” Xiao Xu said in surprise, ”Why not?”

”He Biao’s ambitions are too great, and behind him, there is Hu Liang and that old fox who came from the city. If they get their hands on this matter, wouldn’t I be at their mercy in the future?” Hong Tianxiang furrowed his brow and said in a deep voice: ”You go find Lin Feng and have him arrange a few people to handle this matter properly. And, preferably, take out that Ye Qing as well, make it look like he was shot and killed for resisting arrest and attacking police, and make Zhou Hongbin’s death look like an accident.”

”Yes!” Xiao Xu agreed, and then put down the phone and hurried out to handle the task.

After giving the order, Hong Tianxiang slowly sat down on the sofa. However, his heart was still uneasy; he pondered for a long time, picked up the phone on the desk, and dialed the number of someone in the city.

At the same moment, He Biao, in a tea house in the county, a dazed man stumbled into the tea house. This man was none other than the doctor from the small clinic, Hou.

Although this place was called a tea house, it was actually a gambling den run by He Biao. The private rooms upstairs were all gambling halls, with a large inflow and outflow of people, so almost every night, He Biao was stationed there.

Seeing the man come in, a waiter immediately came up and asked, ”Sir, are you here to play alone, or with friends?”

Hou’s eyes were red, he glanced at the waiter and said hesitantly, ”Is... is Boss He here?”

The waiter looked Hou up and down and asked, ”You mean Biao? Do you know Biao?”

Hou shook his head and said, ”I... I want to see Boss He.”

Knowing Hou didn’t look like someone important, the waiter bluntly said, ”Sorry, Biao is busy and doesn’t have time to meet with guests now.”

Hou anxiously said, ”I... I have something very important to tell Biao...”

The waiter glanced at Hou and said, ”Biao is currently discussing a business deal worth millions. How important can your matter be?”

Hou clenched his teeth and said, ”You... tell Biao... just say that... it’s concerning Gu Xianping... I know where Gu Xianping is...”

”Gu Xianping?” The waiter paused for a moment and said, ”What are you talking about? Who’s Gu Xianping? Biao is busy right now; don’t bother him, understand?”

Hou hurriedly said, ”Tell him, Biao knows who Gu Xianping is. Moreover, Biao is currently looking for Gu Xianping, and I know where Gu Xianping is!”

The waiter impatiently said, ”Are you freaking annoying or what? I’ve already told you, Biao is busy and has no time to listen to your crap. Are you leaving or not? If you don’t, I won’t be polite anymore!”

Hou hurriedly said, ”I’m telling the truth, the truth, about Gu Xianping’s matter. If you don’t believe me, go ask Biao, he’ll definitely know what I’m talking about!”

”You motherf...” The waiter was about to get furious, but a man next to him patted his shoulder and said, ”Forget it, I’ll go up and ask. If there is really an emergency, and Biao gets angry about it later, neither of us can afford it!”

With that, the waiter unclenched his fist and glared at Hou with resentment, saying, ”Damn it, if there’s nothing important, just wait and see how I’ll deal with you!”

The man went upstairs and came down shortly, telling Hou, ”Biao asks for you to come up.”

The waiter who was standing beside them and was about to explode with rage suddenly froze, doubting whether he had misheard, and watched stunned as Hou followed the man upstairs.

In the upstairs private room, He Biao was sprawled comfortably on the sofa. When he saw Hou being brought in, a cold smirk flashed across his face.

Several men were standing beside He Biao, and Hou San, who had been beaten up by Ye Qing that morning, was among them. Seeing Hou come in, he was taken aback and said, ”Eldest Brother, what brings you here?”

He Biao glanced at Hou San and asked, ”Oh, you know each other?”

Hou San hurriedly replied, ”Big Brother, he... he’s my own elder brother, Hou Da.”

”Oh, so you’re family then,” He Biao said, looking at Hou Da. ”So you’re that brother who runs a clinic? Since we’re all family here, no need to stand on ceremony. Come on, sit.”

Hou Da nervously sat down next to He Biao, his hands clutched around his clothes, his body continuously trembling.

Seeing him like that, He Biao assumed he had been intimidated by his own presence, growing even more arrogant. He patted the sofa and said, ”We’re all family here. Whatever misunderstandings we had before, let’s not dwell on them. Let’s turn that page over and forget it. As long as you help me find Gu Xianping, I’ll compensate you double for the loss at your clinic!”

After speaking, He Biao watched Hou Da with a smirk at the corner of his mouth. Although he sounded nice, talking about family and the like, in reality, he didn’t give a damn about someone like Hou Da. Seeing Hou Da’s trembling in front of him, He Biao felt nothing but contempt.

Hou Da was quivering non-stop, wiping the sweat from his forehead, and said in a low voice, ”Teacher Gu... Teacher Gu is in...”

”Where?” He Biao didn’t hear clearly and leaned closer to Hou Da, saying, ”Speak up, no need to be scared. We’re all family here, what’s there to be afraid of? Come on, say it again so I can hear.”

”Teacher Gu is in...” Hou Da’s voice was still very low, and He Biao still couldn’t hear him clearly. He was getting angry, but he was also afraid that he might frighten Hou Da into silence. Finally, he moved closer to sit next to Hou Da, saying, ”Speak clearly, don’t worry, as long as you find Gu Xianping, I will...”

Before he could finish, He Biao’s expression changed suddenly. He jumped up, delivering a punch that knocked Hou Da to the ground.

Hou San, standing to the side, was baffled, not knowing what had happened. Why did they suddenly start fighting?

”Bastard, dare to sneak attack me!” He Biao shouted, clutching his left waist. ”Lucky for me I reacted fast, otherwise I would have been in big trouble!”

Blood was seeping through He Biao’s grip on his left waist, indicating he had been wounded. Looking at Hou Da, it was evident a sharp dagger had appeared in his hand. Wiping the blood from the corner of his mouth, his face twisted in ferocity, he leaped up with a howl and pounced on He Biao again.

He Biao kicked him in the chest, sending Hou Da flying backwards.

”Damn it, thinking you can mess with me? How many lives you got to spare, huh?” He Biao ripped off his shirt, looked at the wound, and said, ”Fuck, even if you’d actually stabbed me, you damn well wouldn’t be a match for me. Bastard, you think you can play with me? Fuck you, I’ll show you who’s boss today.”

With that, He Biao waved his hand and roared, ”Beat him to death for me, until he spills Gu Xianping’s whereabouts, it’s death for him!”

Several tough-looking guys immediately rushed up, surrounding Hou Da and started to punch and kick him relentlessly. Hou Da, already frail and injured by He Biao, stood no chance against so many attackers. He was beaten to a bloody mess, a pitiful sight to behold.

”Eldest Brother! Eldest Brother!” Hou San watched, agitated, and exclaimed, ”Big Brother, Big Brother, please... please spare his life...”

”Spare your mother! He almost killed me, and you want me to forgive him?” He Biao glared at him and said, ”Fine, let him tell us Gu Xianping’s whereabouts and keep one hand, and I’ll fucking let him go!”
