Urban Martial Saint

Hou still remembered Ye Qing’s words and said with a forced smile, ”I haven’t lied to you, they really left. If you don’t believe me, you can search for yourself.”

”Damn it, you think I don’t dare to search?” He Tao shouted loudly, ”Brothers, tear this building apart, we have to find that old Basard, and his daughter too!”

A group of people stormed into the clinic like wolves and tigers, their aggressive manner akin to the Japanese invading the village back in the day. The patients sitting in the clinic were all driven out, with no room for resistance.

Hou watched angrily but was powerless to act, fretting helplessly on the sidelines. He knew that He Tao was He Biao’s cousin, and he certainly didn’t dare to offend these people.

”Hey, what are you all doing? That’s our medicine, stop breaking things...”

Suddenly, a woman’s cry came from the inner room. Hou’s expression changed, and he hurried toward the inner room, only to be caught by He Tao.

”What are you doing? Thinking of tipping them off?” He Tao glared and said, ”Looking for death, are you?”

”I wasn’t going to tip anyone off, my wife is inside,” said Hou in a low voice. ”My wife is two months pregnant, she can’t be shaken up like this... don’t scare her...”

”So what if she’s two months pregnant? That’s your wife, not mine. The child is yours, not mine, what do I care!” He Tao sneered and commanded, ”Search thoroughly, don’t leave any corner unchecked!”

The commotion inside grew even louder. Hou was in a panic and called out loudly, ”Wife, wife, come out first, don’t argue with them...”

”No way, this is our medicine. Put my medicine back, those are bottled drugs, they’re ruined if you break them, you... put the medicine down quickly... I’m going to fight you!”

”You stupid bitch, looking for death, are you!” A roar came from inside the room, followed by the sound of things crashing to the ground.

Hou was stunned for a moment, his complexion dramatically changed, and he exclaimed, ”Wife, wife...”

There was no more noise from inside, and Hou could no longer stand still. He hurried towards the inner room, only to be blocked by He Tao.

Soon, a few people ran out of the inner room, speaking anxiously into He Tao’s ear. He Tao’s face also changed, he looked at Hou and said, ”Alright, I believe you, they’re not here. Let’s go, brothers, we’ll search somewhere else!”

After speaking, He Tao, with his subordinates, turned and ran off, seemingly in a hurry. At this point, Hou could no longer be bothered with them and rushed into the inner room. What he saw was his wife laying on the ground, her pants soaked in a large patch of red, her face pale as death, her body shivering non-stop, her mouth agape but no sound coming out.

”Wife!” Hou let out a heart-wrenching yell and quickly ran to support his wife, frantically checking her over. As a doctor, even though he didn’t practice in a large hospital, he could still recognize many illnesses. Seeing his wife bleeding profusely, Hou realized that his child was probably lost!

The woman clutched Hou with one hand and covered her stomach with the other, her mouth wide as if she wanted to say something. But she was too weak, only able to breathe heavily. Her eyes were filled with longing for the unborn child.

”It’s okay, it’s okay, nothing’s going to happen!” Hou kept comforting his wife. He hastily grabbed gauze to stem the bleeding, then carried her out of the clinic and rushed to the hospital.

Elsewhere, Chen Jun, accompanied by Gu Xianping, had left the small clinic and ran without a specific destination in mind.

After a while, Gu Xianping said, ”Jun, Yunzhi will be getting out of school soon...”

Chen Jun glanced at his watch and said, ”Ah, it is almost time for school to end. Teacher Gu, you go wait for me at the school’s back gate, I’ll go pick up Yunzhi.”

”Why go to the school’s back gate?” asked Gu Xianping, puzzled, ”I’ll come with you to pick him up.”

”You can’t go!” Chen Jun quickly waved his hand, ”The person He Biao wants to catch is you, going there would be walking into a trap!”

Gu Xianping said, ”What about you? It’s dangerous for you as well.”

”Teacher Gu, don’t worry, I’m still young. If I can’t fight them, I can outrun them, right?” Chen Jun reassured Gu Xianping, not daring to waste any more time, and hurriedly split up to rush to the middle school.

Reaching the school entrance at dismissal time, many students were coming out from inside. Chen Jun hid in a snack shop, quietly observing the situation across the school. After about five minutes, he saw a skinny student with a ragged backpack coming out—it was Gu Xianping’s son, Gu Yunzhi.

Chen Jun was overjoyed and was about to go out when he saw He Tao rush into the school with several people, who, without a word, grabbed Gu Yunzhi and ran out. Gu Yunzhi struggled desperately, but how could he compete with those adults? He was dragged out of the school by force.

Seeing this, Chen Jun’s expression changed. The situation had truly become troublesome; He Tao had actually run into the school to abduct someone. What on earth were they planning to do?

Seeing Gu Yunzhi being led out, heading straight for a van in the distance, Chen Jun became frantically anxious. After hesitating for quite a while, he suddenly spotted a kitchen knife hanging at the restaurant’s display cabinet. Grinding his teeth, Chen Jun dashed over, took down a kitchen knife, wrapped it in his clothes, and headed straight for He Tao.

Over there, He Tao was about to get into the car with Gu Yunzhi when suddenly, from behind, a loud shout reverberated, ”He Tao!”

He Tao turned and saw Chen Jun already running towards him. Stunned for a moment, he then burst into laughter, ”Fuck, Chen Jun, I’ve been looking for you, and you’re being so considerate, coming right to me. Chen Jun, you’re always so tough, right? Come on, now I really want to see who is tougher, you or me!”

With that, He Tao waved his hand, ”Fuck, break this bastard’s legs for me!”

Two men immediately charged forward, both subordinates of He Biao, not like He Tao’s non-combatant poseurs. For two men to take on Chen Jun, it wasn’t difficult.

Chen Jun’s face was cold as he walked boldly toward the two men. As he was about to reach them, he suddenly shook out his clothes, revealing the kitchen knife. With a loud roar, he hacked at one of the men.

The man didn’t expect Chen Jun to have a weapon. Caught off guard, he was struck by Chen Jun’s knife on the shoulder, the severe pain causing him to cry out miserably and stumble back several steps.

The other man hesitated, then hastily retreated too. Chen Jun, however, pulled out the knife and continued to hack at him. The man was nimble, dodging several blows, but ultimately failed to avoid them all and took a knife cut to the arm, wailing like a slaughtered pig from the pain!

”Motherfucker!” He Tao couldn’t help but curse, saying angrily, ”Bastard, you dare to hack Biao’s men, Chen Jun, I don’t think you will be able to mix in this world anymore. Brothers, kill him!”

Several people came down from the car, wielding machetes and charged at him. By this time, Chen Jun had also reached Gu Yunzhi’s side, the two men holding Gu Yunzhi fearful of the kitchen knife in Chen Jun’s hand, ran off. Chen Jun grabbed Gu Yunzhi and turned to run.

He Tao pointed at Chen Jun and arrogantly said, ”Don’t let him get away, kill him for me, and bring that little bastard back!”

More than ten people with machetes rushed forward; Chen Jun, carrying Gu Yunzhi, couldn’t run fast. Seeing they were about to be caught by those people, Chen Jun suddenly pulled Gu Yunzhi into an alley and said sternly, ”Yunzhi, go find your dad at the back door, take him and run, never let these people catch up!”

”What about you?” Gu Yunzhi asked urgently.

”Run, don’t worry about me!” Chen Jun pushed Gu Yunzhi into the alley, urging, ”Run fast!”

Gu Yunzhi glanced at Chen Jun several times, finally bit his teeth, his eyes red as he ran out of the alley.

Chen Jun, holding the kitchen knife, stood at the mouth of the alley, coldly watching the more than ten men rushing towards him.

”Kill him, bring that little bastard back!” He Tao shouted loudly from afar.

”Come on, come on!” Chen Jun swung the kitchen knife, yelling, ”All of you motherfuckers, come on, nobody’s getting past me here!”

”Who do you think you are, that you can stop us?” He Tao shouted back, ”Chen Jun, you’re fucking dead!”

”Then come on!” Chen Jun’s face was as cold as ice as he shouted, ”Killing one is enough for me. Killing two, I even make a profit, come on!”

Standing alone at the entrance of the alley, Chen Jun’s not-so-tall figure seemed like an insurmountable giant at that moment. Facing the more than ten men with machetes, he exuded the aura of one man holding the pass against ten thousand!

The more than ten men hesitated for a moment but finally, under He Tao’s urging, two of them charged forward first.

”Ahh!” Chen Jun’s roars were incessant, and amidst the mad shouting, he wounded one person but was also left with a deep wound on his left arm by another. The intense pain almost caused him to lose his grip on the kitchen knife. Yet Chen Jun showed no sign of retreating; he waved the knife frenziedly, hacking the wounded man several more times before turning to face the other.

Chen Jun’s desperate fighting style frightened everyone stiff, and for a moment, they forgot to rush him together.

He Tao screamed madly from behind, ”Attack together! Kill him! Kill him!”

The more than ten men finally charged at once, but Chen Jun stepped back and stood firm at the mouth of the alley, not giving an inch. More than ten men rushed in, but in the alley, only two could stand abreast. As a result, he managed to hold them off for a while.

However, he was just one man and an untrained street thug at that; how could he possibly stop so many? It took less than five minutes before he was hacked to the ground. The more than ten men surrounded him and viciously slashed away before finally dispersing.

Chen Jun, bathed in blood, lay twitching on the ground, continuously spitting blood from his mouth. His consciousness began to blur, but he had no regrets at all. For a man to have such a dramatic turn – how many chances does one get?
