The Ace Bigshot Becomes A Farmgirl

Chapter 1797: Chapter 1797: Plans for What Comes Next

Doctor Guo came over quickly, carrying a medicine box to take Granny Fang’s pulse.

Shu Yu stood by, a little worried. Granny Fang had suffered a lot in the earlier years. Although her body had been nursed back to health, the conditions were limited, and there was the fear that sudden emotional shock might cause something to go wrong.

Fortunately, after Doctor Guo withdrew his hand, his expression remained fairly relaxed. ”It’s nothing. Just too much emotional upheaval. I’ll massage her a bit, and she’ll be fine after resting for a while.”

Shu Yu and Yuan Gui both breathed a sigh of relief, thanked Doctor Guo, and escorted him out the door.

Unexpectedly, just as they were about to turn around, an elderly woman rushed over energetically.

Shu Yu didn’t recognize her, but Yuan Gui beside him introduced, ”This is the old village chief’s wife, Granny Feng.”

Granny Feng, over sixty years old, had slightly graying hair but was much more spirited than the crutch-bearing old village chief, her entire being radiant as she formally greeted Shu Yu upon arrival.

Shu Yu welcomed her inside. Was she the village chief’s wife mentioned by Granny Guan, who was protective and had some skills?

She and Granny Fang seemed to have a good relationship. She first checked on the latter upon entering, and only after confirming everything was fine did she come out.

Once in the living room, she said to Shu Yu, ”Monarch Lu Xiang, please sit down. I heard from my husband that you are a relative of the eldest daughter of the Fang Family. I’m very happy about this and rushed over to congratulate you.”

Shu Yu smiled, ”Yes, Granny Fang is my grandmother’s younger sister. My grandmother has always missed her and has been looking for her, but there was no news. Unexpectedly, by chance, we met this time. I heard that Aunt has been looked after by the old village chief and you in Hedeng Village all these years. I want to thank you here.”

”Oh, not at all, not at all.” Granny Feng hurriedly stood up and stepped aside, her smile even more radiant. ”So you are the grandniece, which makes the relationship close. Your Aunt has had a hard time these years, always thinking she had no relatives left. Now she knows her elder sister is still alive, no wonder she’s this happy.”

She paused, leaning a little closer to Shu Yu. ”Well, Monarch Lu Xiang, I’m straightforward and speak directly. Please don’t take offense.”

Shu Yu found it amusing. ”Granny Feng, just say whatever you want.”

”Alright.” Granny Feng sat up straight. ”I just want to ask, what plans do you have next? Are you going to take the eldest daughter of the Fang Family back to Dongan Province?”

”I do have that plan, because first, my grandmother misses Aunt very much and hopes the sisters can reunite. Second, when my great-grandfather and great-grandmother passed away, the person they most worried about was Aunt. Returning Aunt to let them see her is important. However, this is just my thought. Ultimately, it depends on Aunt’s own decision. As for whether she wants to continue living in Chenggu County or settle in Dongan Province, they can discuss it themselves.”

Upon hearing this, Granny Feng felt relieved, nodding. ”Yes, Monarch Lu Xiang, you are sensible and considerate, the eldest daughter of the Fang Family is fortunate. By the way, there’s another matter, does Monarch Lu Xiang know that back then Fang Family’s girl was...”

”I know. The grievances Aunt suffered, I will help her seek justice.”

”Great!” Granny Feng stood up, her mood instantly uplifted.

Shu Yu was startled by her loud cheer, but then couldn’t help shaking her head and chuckling.

At this moment, Yuan Gui’s voice came from inside, ”Granny Fang is awake.”

Shu Yu quickly got up and entered the room.
