The Ace Bigshot Becomes A Farmgirl

Chapter 1795: Chapter 1795: My Grandmother’s Name Is Fang Caiyue

Shu Yu entered the room and saw Granny Fang sewing clothes, judging by the style of the clothes, they should belong to Yuan Gui.

Granny Fang seemed to be in a good mood, apparently unaware that Yuan Gui was unwilling to acknowledge their bond.

Upon hearing footsteps, Granny Fang looked up and saw her. She quickly put down the clothes in her hands, ”Why has Monarch Lu Xiang come? Quick, quick, sit. I’ll go to the kitchen to get some water.”

She stood up to leave, but Shu Yu pulled her down to sit.

”Granny Fang, there’s no rush. I came today to talk to you about something.”

Granny Fang was stunned, seeing Shu Yu with a serious expression and Ying Xi closing the door outside, a wave of unease rose in her heart, her hands awkwardly placed on her lap, ”What is it? Tell me.”

Shu Yu took a deep breath, ”I must first apologize to you.”

”Oh dear, what are you talking about? You are Monarch Lu Xiang. Why apologize to an old woman like me? No need, no need.”

Shu Yu felt apologetic, ”Sorry, Granny Fang, I took it upon myself to inquire about your past.”

Granny Fang was taken aback, her brow furrowed, ”What do you mean?”

”After I left Hedeng Village yesterday, I returned to the county town. I found Granny Guan from West City and asked her about your situation after you fled the disaster to Chenggu County over thirty years ago. I also learned... about your past.”

Granny Fang was completely stunned, looking at Shu Yu, baffled.

Though she had felt something odd before, Monarch Lu Xiang seemed to have asked about her past several times, at the time she thought the young lady was merely curious.

But would curiosity lead someone to specifically inquire?

”Granny Fang, I’m sorry.”

Granny Fang waved her hand bitterly, ”It’s fine, it’s not like it’s some secret. I didn’t mention it earlier because I felt embarrassed and it’s not very honorable, it might even cause trouble. Now that you know, just keep it to yourself, it’s merely the past of an old woman.”

She said it like that, but recalling the past, Granny Fang’s heart was still unsettled.

She couldn’t let go, yet she was helpless.

As she said, what use is there to mention it? She can’t seek revenge, only adding more troubles and sadness for herself.

Granny Fang looked up, ”Monarch Lu Xiang, it’s alright, honestly you didn’t need to come specifically to apologize for this...”

”I’m not here just for this.”

”Is there something else?”

Shu Yu looked at her steadily, ”Granny Fang, I would like to reintroduce myself.”

Granny Fang looked completely bewildered, not understanding what she was about to say.

”My name is Lu Shuyu, I live in Shangshi Village, Wenlan Town, Jiangyuan County, Dongan Province.”

Granny Fang’s eyes slowly widened, Jiangyuan County, Shangshi Village?

”My father is Lu Erbai, and I have an eldest uncle named Lu Dasong.”

Granny Fang’s breathing slightly intensified, Dasong, wasn’t that the first son of her sister? When they were separated back then, Dasong was already born.

Shu Yu continued, ”My grandfather is Lu Nanfang, and grandmother is Ms. Fang, whose maiden name is Fang Caiyue.”

With a loud crash, Granny Fang stood up abruptly, knocking down the chair behind her.

She looked at Shu Yu with utter shock, her lips trembling slightly, wanting to speak but unable to make a sound.

Shu Yu quickly stood up, stepped forward two steps to support her.

Yet Granny Fang’s hand tightly gripped her arm, her gaze fixed on her face, trying desperately to discern some unusual expression from her.
