My Alleged Husband

Chapter 533: Chapter 512 Letting Go Is Also Love_1

Xia Jing felt that if she continued to talk with this man before her, she would definitely suffocate. This man simply refused to reason. No matter what she said, he always had a reason to refute her. Could it be that she was really that vulnerable, repeatedly returning to his side because of his cowardice?

He had hurt her deeply; he never treated her as his wife. Why should she wholeheartedly think about making it easier for him? Why was she always so soft-hearted? Could being soft-hearted really accomplish great things?

Could being soft-hearted truly bring back a lost love for a reunion? Even if they could return to the past, their love would never be the same pure quality again.

Everything had long changed, yet why couldn’t her heart withstand his pleas? Why did she soften again and again? Did she really deserve to be hurt by him to the core, wounded all over her body?

”I really don’t know how to continue communicating with you. It’s exhausting for both of us. In fact, you don’t even understand what love is. What does it mean? You always feel that keeping me by your side and being nice to me is love. Yes, it’s a way to show love, but this method is not right for me. Your way of loving me is entirely wrong. We could have lived a passionate life together, but you destroyed our loving days. It was you who ruined our happy life, pushed me away, and step by step forced me to this point where everything is irreversible. Now that it has come to this, why do you still beg me for forgiveness again and again? Aren’t you pushing me towards a dead end step by step?”

”I’m useless. I never thought of driving you to a dead end. On the contrary, I really hope you can stay by my side for life. There’s nothing more important to me than you. I don’t want much, just having you by my side is enough, even if you don’t want to look at me or talk to me. Just your presence gives me peace. It’s a habit, and sometimes habits can be terrifying. Clearly, someone’s heart isn’t with you, but you’re still used to having them around. No matter what they do to you, you always want them back because only then can your heart find balance and can you happily live the rest of your life.”

”If you’re willing to give me another chance, I promise to show you a different me. Maybe you think I’m shameless, insisting despite everything that’s been said, but I really have no other way.”

”You feel that when I abandoned you, your life was worse than death, agonizing. But for every single thing you’ve done to me, haven’t I felt the same? I really want to be by your side, to give you all the best things I can offer. But you never see it. That’s the greatest love I have for you in my heart. You always think I’m using you, seeing me as someone who disregards human feelings for the sake of business benefits!”

”Let’s not talk about other things now. I want to ask you a few questions. Can you answer them honestly?”

”As long as you have questions to ask, I will surely tell all and withhold nothing, answering you sincerely. Is that okay?”

”First question, do you really love me deep down? Second, if you love me, why won’t you let me go? Third, what kind of woman do you really see me as in your heart? Fourth, what am I to you in your eyes? An object or something else? I hope you can answer each of my questions honestly without any deception, because you might fool me once, but you won’t fool me again.”

”I’ll answer you now. Your first question, asking if I love you, I can honestly say I really love you deeply, to the bone. For the second question, I genuinely do not see you as an object or the like; I simply want to keep you by my side and take good care of you. As for the third question, why I can’t let go of your hand, without you, I would live a life worse than death, not wanting to struggle in agony. The fourth question, in my eyes, you are the most perfect woman in the world. Whatever decision you make, I think it’s right, even if it’s wrong, but I’ll still choose to support you unconditionally because I trust my judgment, and I believe you are an extraordinary woman, different from everyone else in this world!”

”Do you realize that letting go is also a form of love? Letting me go doesn’t mean you don’t love me; it just means it’s better for both of us to live on, doesn’t it?

I know you have a million reluctances in your heart to give up on me, but whether or not you’re willing to let go doesn’t matter anymore. Our relationship can no longer return to the way it was. The love we once had has disappeared!

Don’t you understand? Parting is also unwilling and painful for me, but there’s no way around it. Our paths have been set, and we can only move in this direction, with no other way. The responsibilities we have to bear will eventually be faced, and what you desire will one day come back to you, but now I just want to live the life I wish for. It may be difficult for you, but this is my last request: if you really love me, then please agree to let me go. By giving up on me, you’re offering me the best love, a love I will keep in my heart forever, grateful for giving me a way out and a chance to reach my life’s peak!

No matter what you want to say, I hope you remember every word I say today. The past is gone forever. I hope you can cherish the present, treat your parents well, treat your son, and your family well. Don’t make mistake after mistake, which will lead you deeper into the wrong path, never to turn back...”
